Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Introducing our Lion King litter. They are a fearsome foursome who are ready to roar their way into your heart. They are 12 weeks old and enjoy spending their days doing all things kitten centric, like lounging in the cat tree by the window, wrestle mania sessions with each other, tunnel running, feather chasing and mouse hunting. They are currently living with a couple of adult cats in their foster home and could easily join a home with another cat or even a cat savvy dog. They are also an option for a home with children. If you are interested in adopting a bonded pair, any combination would be fine as they all love each other. And even though each of them are ridiculously cute and sweet, here are some unique characteristics about them individually. Simba - He is the king of the litter. Confident, handsome, and vocal. He is always smiling and talking. He is very attentive to his siblings and looks out for everyone. He is also super sweet. He wants to be in the midst of all the happenings in the house and is not afraid to venture into new spaces. He is an all-around great kitty. Banzai - This gorgeous tuxedo baby has a supper soft and fluffy coat and is the largest of the group. He is a very regal guy for such a little baby. We think he is going to be a big cat when full grown. He is very sweet, playful and curious. He immediately captures your heart with his charming personality. Zazu - He is just precious. Very affectionate and loves to be held and kissed. His foster home says he is a true lap cat. He is also very self-assured and bold. He gets along great with everyone (human and furry alike) and has boundless energy. He also is a super purr machine! Nala - She is our token girl and the smallest of the litter. She loves her big brothers but is also obsessed with getting her way. Though she is tiny, she is fierce. She will size up new situations before approaching or partaking but she is also eager to be in the crowd and loves playtime. She loves her humans and would be a great companion for an existing kitty in the home. She is such a cutie pie. They have been neutered/spayed tested negative for FIV/FeLV, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treatment applied and microchipped. Their adoption fee is $200 each or $350 for a pair.June 24, 2024, 11:26 pm

Story
Meet Monkey (AKA Mr. Cuddles) and Dolly! They are a bonded pair and we would like them to get adopted together. I have developed a cat allergy and sadly need to find them a new loving home. They are both one year old, are current on their vaccinations, microchipped and spayed/neutered. Dolly is a typical female cat, very independent and will give and receive affection when she is "in the mood"! She is very gentle, and will let you hold her like a baby. She loves to get her belly rubbed! Monkey is a very affectionate guy! He loves to head butt you when he wants attention and loves to cuddle up for a nice long nap. They are both litterbox trained and eat a combination of dry and wet food. They are mostly indoor cats but do get to explore our backyard once a day.

Story
*** Princess and Little Lady are in a foster home ***Princess: white w/black, medium hair, spayed female, born approx. 7/30/23, #18773Little Lady: black & white bicolor, medium hair, spayed female, born approx. 7/30/23, #18774*** Bonded Pair ***Cats: good w/friendly felines!Dogs: possibly w/mellow dogsChildren: gentle, respectfulAlong with their mom and brother, these sweet girls were discovered at an industrial complex during a sizzling hot September. Trying their best to stay cool, they took shelter in a small water drain outside the building. Back then, they were only 10 weeks old and in desperate need of water and food. Through a network of kind humans, they found their way to The Rescue House and no longer had to worry about hunting for scraps, dodging cars or escaping the heat. Learning all they could in foster care, Princess and Little Lady have transformed into amazing indoor kitties who are ready to find their forever homes! These fluffy sisters have come a long way! Given their rough start at life, they can be a bit timid at first. Just give them room to adjust to the new environment and they will warm up into the sweetest honeybuns! A cozy spot, like a tunnel, is a perfect space for them to retreat to when things get spooky. Soon they'll realize they're safe and start showing off their vibrant personalities! Cuddles, playtime and a dash of mischief are always on their agenda. They enjoy leaping from and running up cat trees. Watch them bat around their toys and dance with the strings and wands. Of course, Snuggle Happy Hour and Churu treats are every hour! These darlings are curled up together day and night. Their other hobbies include bird watching and nibbling on fresh grass. As for that mischief, you might find toy mice "swimming" in their water bowls. Inquisitive and quirky, Princess and Little Lady strangely have a thing for broom bristles. --- Princess is the bolder sister and tends to warm up rather quickly. Carefree, she likes to roam and investigate as she pleases. She enjoys sunbathing and warm naps by the window. Indulge her with pets and she'll is one happy princess.--- Little Lady is a bashful beauty with a splash of sass to keep things interesting. She's not the type to run up to you when you walk in. Maybe it's too predictable or cliché for her? As of yet, she's not a fan of being picked up. However, give her some time to adjust to the idea. Funny enough, she does enjoy belly rubs and sitting on your lap (if you place her there). This silly girl loves to be loved... on her terms, of course! With Princess around, Little Lady will find her courage to come out and explore. Princess and Little Lady are a bonded pair and MUST be adopted together. They would mix well with friendly felines. They haven't interacted with dogs or children. Based on their personalities, we believe they could adjust to living with mellow canines. They'd probably welcome gentle and patient kids who will respect their boundaries. If you're looking for a pair of fabulous kitties to grace your home with love, fun and fluffy boa tails, then Princess and Little Lady are meant for you! What are you waiting for? Invite them to join your family!

Story
*** Johnny & June are in a foster home. ***Johnny: gray/white, long hair, neutered male, born approx. 4/1/24, #19060June: black/white, long hair, spayed female, born approx. 4/1/24, #19061Cats: bonded pair & like others Dogs: okay with slow intro Children: gentle kids likely okayTwo kittens, only a couple days old (with their umbilical cords still attached) arrived at a shelter. It was late in the day, which often leads to a grim fate for bottle baby kittens who cannot survive without round the clock care and which shelters are unable to provide. With just 45 minutes to save them our team sprang into action, dropping what was planned for the day and running to the shelter. Once in the safety of foster care, they grew and thrived and now are ready to find their own forever home!If you are looking for a perfect pair let us introduce you to Johnny and June. They are exceptionally sweet and full of energy! Being hand-raised bottle babies almost from the day they were born, they are very human oriented and will come running when they hear you. They will even lead you to where they want to go play. They love when you're involved! June and Johnny are incredibly social and will crawl, jump, run all over you---you are part of their jungle gym. They will bounce around, play chase, and wrestle with each other. Once they are done frolicking, they will settle in for a brief pause on your lap---then it's back to kitten shenanigans. They will find a way to make anything fun! ---Johnny is affectionate with a strong, lovely purr. He loves to crawl onto your shoulder and play with your hair. He will give you head butts to demand petting. ---June is loving, fun, and spunky! She is courageous in exploration and very confident. She will play endlessly---a tiny ball of energy. ---Johnny and June are inseparable and MUST be adopted together. Johnny and June have met older cats in foster and are quite friendly with them. If they are hissed at, they just back away and go back to playing... their bond with each other is strong and reliable. They have seen large, calm dogs and although slightly intimidated initially they would adapt with time. Although they haven't met children, we believe given their young age and disposition they would adapt fine to most gentle new friends.Johnny and June will make your heart sing! Won't you take them home?
