Hi there! My name is Mittens and I am a 5 year old domestic medium hair available at the Santa Maria Campus. I would love a home where I can explore and tap into my wild side. I enjoy sunbathing and playing with my toys. I am curious and ready to check out my new world! I have asthma, but that doesn't stop me from living my best life and I would love to live it with you! Adoptions are open 12pm-4:30pm every day, except Wednesdays, and no appointment is needed. Like all SBH animals, when I am adopted I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoptions also include a certificate for a complimentary post-adoption veterinary exam from a local clinic and our partners at Hills Science Diet will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home. Alice is such a sweet girl. She’s very calm and she does not like to get worked up! She doesn’t like to be picked up, but she loves to be right next to you. I know she wants to climb on my lap, but she’s been afraid to Dash. I’m not sure what happened to her in the past for this to have happened. I would not be looking for a home for her if I were not in desperate position. She does like to play and she likes some treats, but it’s not super food motivated. She’s just a great companion.

Purrsephone is a delicate, spry little beauty with soft, long white fur touched by flame-point highlights and the sweetest face you’ve ever seen. Weighing just over 5 pounds, she’s petite and graceful — and to make life even easier, she barely sheds! This lovely girl enjoys gentle pets and calm companionship, though she’s not a big fan of being picked up. She’d much rather sit beside you or stretch out nearby while you give her soft scritches. Because she prefers her independence, a quieter home without young children would be the best fit for her. Purrsephone gets along well with other cats and would likely enjoy having a feline friend. She’s also met a dog and handled it well once she had a little time to adjust — a calm, cat-savvy dog would make a fine companion. She does have a cataract in her right eye, which the vet says doesn’t require any treatment. Her left eye sees perfectly, and it doesn’t slow her down one bit. Purrsephone is a gentle soul looking for a peaceful home where she can feel safe, adored, and appreciated for the sweet spirit she is. Hugo comes from a colony of street cats in San Bernardino, where a kind man is caring for the cats, working to get them fixed, and helping the friendly ones find loving homes. We were lucky enough to take Hugo in and give him his chance at a better life. Now safe and cozy, Hugo is ready for a home where he can explore, cuddle, and be adored.

Winston comes from a colony of street cats in San Bernardino, where a kind man is caring for them, working to get everyone fixed, and helping the friendlier cats find homes. That’s how Winston found his way to us. Before his rescue, Winston lived around an auto repair shop, and his poor paws even picked up some asphalt stains—don’t worry, his fur will grow out just fine. Despite his rough start, Winston’s personality truly shines. He adores being petted and rubbed and is wonderfully affectionate. After a hard life on the streets, Winston is ready for the good life. Cozy beds, soft blankets, and a loving home are exactly what this sweet boy deserves.
