Story
Dove is a 1.5 year old spayed female that is very affectionate. She became an orphan when her mom's landlord said she had to go. She has been nothing short of a joy to be with, offering purrs and snuggles to her human companions. Dove would do best as an only cat in her forever home. Dove was born around December 30, 2023, and is currently being fostered in Oakville. She is fixed, has had her rabies and first distemper shots, is microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and Greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved. Applications for adoption can be found at our website at www.fosterandforever.org. Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24-48 hours.May 18, 2025, 11:03 am

APPLY FOR PETER PAN I’m Peter Pan, your handsome medium-haired charmer born on April 13! I'm snipped, sport a microchip, and I’ve got all my age-appropriate vaccines – plus, I'm FIV/FLV negative.    Now, let me tell you, I’m a super playful dude who absolutely adores the spotlight! If you forget to shower me with affection, oh boy, get ready for my little concert! I’m buddy-buddy with everyone – cats, kids, and even dogs! Just so you know, since I'm still in my youthful phase, it's a MUST that my forever home has another kitten to romp around with, or at least a young-and-fun cat ready to join in on the frolic!    Apply at www.astdogrescue.com/cat-application APPLY FOR PETER PAN ##2428656##

Story
My 14 year old granddaughter rescued 2 infant kittens from being drowned. After 7 years, she moved out and left 2 cats with me. As a kitten, Chai was playful with her sister. As they grew, she got more territorial. (Her sis now has a new home.) Chai used to sleep next to my dog, who was almost 18 and died recently. Chai seemed confused, sad her friend was gone, slept in the same place. She's affectionate, likes to be next to you - is smart and very vocal, mews for attention, tells time very well (4:00 pm supper, eats once a day, sleeps if I'm late, no mischief.) She didn't used to like brushing, but now likes a stroke or 2 with a fine brush. Loves to have her head rubbed. She'll ask to be picked up. Let go or you might get swatted! I have a new partner who is severely allergic to cats. In a trial re-home she was content but new owner has a new illness, will keep only 1 month more. Chai can't return here. She's soft, mature, resilient. Can you please give her a loving home?

Story
Marilyn says If you can't handle her at her worst, then you sure as heck don't deserve her at her best.Poor Marilyn was rescued from a hoarding situation in Woodbridge. She had a rough start in life, living in squalor and fighting for food. When she came to us she was shut down and suffering from mites. After treatment she looks a lot better and has regained some personality, but it may take a little more time before she trusts humans again. Marilyn is a beautiful black and white tuxedo cat with a beauty mark on her face, hence the name. She's not quite long haired but she's got a bit of extra fluff on her tail. She is pretty shy and doesn't know what to make of humans at the moment but we hope with some patience and TLC she will come around. If you have experience working with cats that need love, please consider giving Marilyn another chance.Marilyn is up to date on vaccinations, tests negative for FIV and FELV, and has been spayed and microchipped. If you are a superstar and want to give this poor girl another chance apply at https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=28
