Please complete our online Adoption Application (https://www.saveourstraysinc.com/adopt/adoption-application/). An application is required to move forward with any adoption. NO PHONE CALLS, PLEASE! All Save Our Strays Inc cats have been sterilized, given one distemper vaccine, a rabies vaccine, microchip, and have been tested for FeLV if under 6 months of age and for both FeLV/FIV if older. A contract must be completed prior to any adoption after approval of the adopter by one of our adoption volunteers. There is a screening process so merely wanting to adopt doesn't make someone eligible to adopt. Adoptions are approved at the discretion of the screeners. Please note cats come in and out of foster homes so seeing a cat on this site does not guarantee it will be available when you contact us. Also we do not adopt on a first come first serve basis. The present adoption fee is $125.00 (please note this amount may change without notification). Renters will be asked to provide proof that pets are allowed. Placements are made based on the needs of each cat. ##1982133##

Story
❗️ONLY ADOPTING THESE SISTERS OUT TOGETHER❗️This is one of our black cat twins, Mavis! At two and a half years old, Mavis loves to be pet and gently scratched, she and her sister are very talented vocalists, sweethearts, love to be brushed, enjoy watching cat tv, and LOVE to cuddle and sit on your legs/lap. The only difference between her and her sister Marceline, is that Mavis has like 3 or 4 singular white hairs on her chest. If it weren’t for that, they’d be completely identical! We’re looking for a completely indoor home for these girls. They’re not indoor/outdoor cats. They have only been raised indoors in our garage. A screened in patio for playtime and sunbathing would be a great perk!

Story
❗️ONLY ADOPTING THESE SISTERS OUT TOGETHER❗️Marceline is a solid black two and a half year old silly goose. She and her sister Mavis are two peas in a pod. They are usually sitting or standing right next to each other. Marceline and Mavis love being brushed and petted, love playing with their string toys, and love to sit on your lap. Marceline and her sister are very vocal when they are ready to eat, or when they just want to tell you something! Black cats are always a sign of good luck…so why not double your luck with a set of (almost) identical twin sisters? 😆

Story
Rascal is a very sweet boy. He’s available because his owner passed away recently. As his caregiver I was going to take him but my mother was diagnosed with moderate Alzheimer’s recently and she’s highly allergic to cats so I think it would be better if Rascal finds just the right home for him. He was a rescue and estimated to currently be about 11-12 years old. He’s very low maintenance but does enjoy playing and snuggling. He doesn’t mind being alone but also loved having other cat siblings. I have copies of his medical records. I hope Rascal is a good fit for you to become a part of your family!

Story
Teddie (DOB: 10/20/23) started out as gray and white; his gray is slowly turning black so he's more of a "charcoal" color. He was found with his siblings (since adopted) on Thanksgiving day. They had lost track of their mom and were crying, cold, dehydrated and hungry. The very next day, their mother, Andraya, (Seal Point Snowshoe Siamese) was found in the same spot crying for her babies! We were so happy to see them reunited. But we had our work cut out for us. The babies were less than half their normal weight and their temperatures were 8-10 degrees below normal. Today, they are strong and healthy and happy and purry, playful kittens. Teddy is a little on the shy side but loves to be petted. He is affectionate, friendly, playful and gentle. DOB: 10/28/23
