Story
Yowzer is a hunk of handsomeness! He and his best buddy Chopurr (ID# 653882) were found in a carrier at the shelter's doors. Yowzer is 6 months old and weighs in at 5 pounds. He has a thick black coat and a bit of white at his chest. He has put on his best collar and and cutest smile in hopes that he will be noticed. Are you smitten with this kitten? Ask for ID# 653883 Cage 648. He will be neutered soon, micro-chipped and combo tested upon adoption. Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we don't know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. This pet and many others are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information. Shelter hours are: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m, CLOSED Mondays & Holidays. The shelter prefers people to make an appointment, go to - https://nqa3.nemoqappointment.com/Booking/Booking/Index/as65fg9dr953 and select Adoption. You can also show up between 10:30 & 4:00 Tues. thru Sun. (shelter closes at 4:30), you might have to wait a few minutes until someone can help you. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heart worm or combo test and a microchip. When you book an appointment, it doesn't reserve a particular pet for you. Thank you for considering a Cobb pet!.

Good with kids, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Introducing the very awesome and incredibly sweet kitty named Ashton. This hunky love is about 7 months old. He came to the shelter 12/28 because his owner didn't want to keep the commitment of taking care of him. Ashton is up to date on shots, neutered, combo tested negative and will be micro chipped before adoption. He is waiting in cage 651 and his ID 652711. It is reported that Ashton is great with kids and is housebroken. He was pretty upset when he first arrived. Staff was unable to combo test him and he hissed when people approached his cage. He settled in a bit and was adopted January 6. Sadly he was returned a couple weeks later. He had been adopted as a gift for someone that was not ready for a pet. While here at the shelter there have been a couple incidents when he has gotten overstimulated and bitten or scratched. He is actually really nice, but he dislikes other cats, so he doesn’t show well here. Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we don't know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained.
