Story
Buford is an XL guy with XL love to give. He's said goodbye to life as a street cat and is clearly grateful to be an indoor guy now. He's got big ol' chipmunk cheeks which make him look very squishable (perfect for cute aggression). Buford is FIV positive as a result of his outdoor days, but he's in great health. FIV cats usually live long, healthy lives! His foster describes him as "a perfect gentleman." He's a tidy litterbox user and an excellent groomer of his very soft fur. Buford is okay with being picked up, but he's not a huge cuddler. He likes to be near you, but not right on top of you. He's met some young kids and has done well with them. Buford likes to stay out of the drama. When he was in the Cat Cottage, if other cats growled or hissed at him, he'd simply lay there or walk away to find a spot where he could be unbothered. His days of street fights and arguing over territory are behind him. Now, he just wants to get ear scritches, snack on wet food, and sniff some catnip. If you're looking for a chill guy to bring some big purrs to your household, apply to meet Buford today!

Gaz is a little silly, he loves to cuddle and enjoys greeting new people. He likes to explore his surroundings and get into hiding spots but really he just likes attention and pets. He can be a little clingy. We have found him and baby otto really get along well. We reccomend adopting both if adopting one as Otto is his son.

Story
Meet Checkers — a small, whiskered roommate with big main-character energy . Professional napper , part-time window watcher , and full-time snack enthusiast , Checkers can usually be found sunbathing in a warm patch of light  or supervising household activities from a high perch .   They’re equal parts sweet and sassy : one minute asking for chin scratches , the next sprinting through the hallway like they’ve got important cat business . Favorite hobbies include chasing mysterious dust motes , pretending to be starving five minutes after dinner , and curling up near their humans like a fuzzy little heater .   Loyal, curious, and quietly hilarious , Checkers makes every day a bit cozier — and a lot more entertaining .   Adoptions are limited to an approximately 150-mile radius from Locust Grove, GA, certain circumstances may allow exceptions.  To apply to adopt this pet, please fill out a Preliminary Adoption Application at https://www.streetpaws.org/home/adopt . This appli cation does not commit you to an adoption. It is used to screen those interested to make sure the home is a good match for the pet and your family. We verify vet history on current/previous pets to ensure pets have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated annually. Please call your vet to give permission for us to call them. Our adoption fee is $125  for all our cats. They have been given age-appropriate vaccinations, are spayed/neutered, have been feline leukemia/ feline aids tested, dewormed, have received flea prevention, and are micro-chipped. We will ensure the microchip is registered. If more information is needed regarding the pet email info@streetpaws.org. You must complete the pre-application to obtain approval to meet the pet. Story
Calypso’s journey hasn’t been easy—she came to us matted, hungry, and so thin you could feel her bones. With love and care, this sweet teenage girl has blossomed into a loving, talkative companion who’s ready for her forever home. Petite and soft with beautiful medium-length fur, Calypso adores attention and isn’t shy about asking for it! She loves catnip, a good scratching post, playtime, and hanging out with her kitty friends. Now that she’s safe and thriving, she’s ready to share all her purrs and chatter with a family of her own. Could Calypso be your new best friend?
