Fiyero used to be a community cat, but, after being brought inside because of a leg injury, he turned out to be a big fan of the indoor life. He's incredibly sweet and will give tiny chirpy meows whenever you come through the door. He loves playing with wand toys and being brushed. He has giant paws and big ol' tomcat cheeks, but he's just a big softy. He's still figuring out how to be a house cat and can occasionally nip when he gets overstimulated, so he would do best in a home without little children. He also needs to be an only cat because he's FIV positive and FELV positive. While cats with FIV can live long healthy lives, the combination of these two diseases mean that we're not sure how long his life will be. It's possible he'll continue to do well for years, but it's difficult to predict. He's doing well in his foster home and is currently a healthy guy, eating and playing and enjoying life. We're obsessed with our sweet Fiyero, and if you're looking for a kitty with some special needs to pour love into, he's the one for you. Fiyero's adoption fee has been paid for by a secret admirer!

Lina is very relaxed, she doesn’t require much (just a little attention). She stays to herself for the most part, as long as she has her food and water she’s a happy camper :)

Askur (and his brother, Floki) need a new home as I'm moving abroad to go to university. They are both strictly indoor cats. Askur is a 3-year-old boy. He is a beautiful, loving, and playful cat and he loves being petted. He was rescued as a kitten and I adopted him a couple of years ago. He still isn't very fond of cuddling or being held, and is a bit shy around strangers. I'm not sure if he's good with dogs, but he's good with other cats. I would prefer a home without kids, as he is rather shy and is used to living in a quiet home.

She insisted on keeping Mimi letting her grow up and had four cats in her apartment. She reached out to AWHAR to help when she was getting evicted and the cats had to go.  We took in Mimi.  She is YOUNG, only a bit over ONE year, very healthy, unusual, and fun! loves to be petted, curious, love and I took this cat into our program. Urgent Plea:  Foster or Adopt Maize, a Special Kitty in Need (Metro Atlanta Only) Meet Maize – A Young, Semi-Feral Kitty Seeking a Loving Home Maize is a beautiful kitty who was rescued from a neighborhood overwhelmed with stray cats. Despite the challenges, Maize was successfully trapped and brought to a vet immediately for testing, vaccines, spaying, and microchipping. She was severely matted and underweight, likely having to fight and scrounge for food. Current Situation Maize has been in a foster home for the past five months, where she has flourished. Her fur has grown back beautifully, showcasing her long tabby coloring. Although she remains timid, she is far from "wild." Like many cats, Maize prefers not to be picked up, but she is otherwise quite easy to care for. Unfortunately, due to changes in the foster home’s life circumstances, Maize needs to find a new home by September 30, 2024. We urgently need a special person to foster or adopt her. Why Maize Needs You Maize is still on her journey to becoming fully socialized. She needs a patient and understanding individual who can respect her boundaries and help her continue to feel safe and loved.
