Story
Sylvia is a previously adopted Cat Nap Lodge kitten. Unfortunately things didn't work out with her family and she came back to us as an adult. She is about 2 years old and can be timid. She loves attention from people she knows and is never late for dinner!Sylvia is older cat who loves to hang around. She likes being petted. She is shy at first but warms up nicely. She would prefer a quiet home and would make a great companion cat. This cat or kitten is being fostered with Cat Nap Lodge (CNL) for Kalamazoo Animal Rescue. Cat Nap Lodge is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat and kitten rescue located in Richland, MI. We also have additional foster homes in nearby communities. We focus on lost, sick, and injured kittens and cats. Once our cats and kittens are healthy, spayed and neutered, we adopt them out through Kalamazoo Animal Rescue. We welcome visitors at our CNL Community Center by appointment in the evenings and on the weekends. Together we save lives!Cat Nap Lodge Community Center10418 N 32nd St, Richland, MI 49083 Her foster parents are Joni K.   The adoption fee for Sylvia CNL is $70. If more than one cat or kitten is adopted the adoption fees are discounted. Please complete our online application form if you are interested in adopting Sylvia CNL. A volunteer will contact you as soon as possible. All Kalamazoo Animal Rescue cats & kittens are spayed or neutered and feline leukemia tested prior to adoption. They also are given medication to rid them of roundworms and checked and treated for fleas & ear mites, if needed. Additional vet care may have been provided depending on the particular animal's needs. All are given distemper vaccinations and depending on how long the pet has been in foster care, additional vaccine(s) may be necessary and the expense will be incurred by the adopter. Story
This is Stanley! He's an eleven year old mixed cat that I adopted from my local Humane Society. He's been a wonderful companion during the time he's been with me. Stanley is very laid back and naps most of the day. I trained him to be outside in my backyard, first using a leash, but now he goes out and stays in my back yard. He likes rubs, especially on his head, and would like to be on a lap or sleep behind your neck while you sit in a chair. I'm moving to a new place and hope Stanley can find a new home soon!

Story
Willow is a great cat and is very affectionate. We adopted her at 8 weeks old in May of 2020. We have mostly been able to work from home since that time so Willow has received a lot of attention. She loves to snuggle in your lap, especially in the morning and evening hours. She also loves to play with her many animals, loves playing in boxes, and also enjoys games of hide and seek with her owners. Our current schedules and an upcoming move are making it difficult to continue to give Willow the attention she has grown used to. We are hoping for someone to adopt Willow who will be able to continue to provide her with the love and attention she deserves. Please let us know if you think you might be that person. Thank you.

The Animal Rescue Project is committed to the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed. Adoptions are NOT first come, first served! We seek to choose the best fit for the approved adopter and pet. Please understand that these animals are still new to us and their needs and requirements can change at any time as we learn more about them. We will try our best to get them updated online as soon as possible. All cats and kittens are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medical to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and mites they may have. All cats and kittens are feline leukemia tested, and cats at least a year old are also tested for feline immuno virus. Each cat or kitten receives the FVRCP vaccine; if a kittens stay with us is long enough, two or three boosters will be given after the initial vaccination. Most cats and older kittens are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of kittens not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $50 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization. The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.
