Judging by her condition, Brownie was abandoned or lost a long time ago. The Rescue Ridge team has done an incredible job of socializing and nursing her back to health. Brownie has a big personality: she is playful, sassy, and affectionate but will let you know when she has had enough. Rescue Ridge will provide the medicine she gets for hyperthyroid twice a day, that is mixed in her food. Brownie would need her own room- a spare bedroom or office or to be your one and only kitty. Whisper - located in NJ. This beautiful medium hair girl found herself in a really tough spot. She was sick, dirty, and all alone on the street. She knew she needed help and followed a lady and her daughter home crying. Fortunately she picked the right person and she contacted us to assist. Whisper had an extremely bad URI and yet she inhaled her food from day one. She was taken for multiple vet visits. Had fluids, multiple courses of antibiotics, a sedation exam for polyps (negative). She had a good bath like a champ and all her mattes combed out. She has been with us since March and is fully vetted and spayed. FIV/FELV negative. She's ready for her furever home. She has improved dramatically but occasionally has a sniffle or sneeze. This will probably be something she will experience on and off regularly. This does not mean she can't live a very happy and healthy long life. We would be happy to explain more. She is a smaller girl. She can be dominant around cats but improving, dogs at this time not her preference even though she could potentially live with dogs if introduced slowly and properly. She is a tough little one, but because of her small size and that she can get over zealous playing small children not advisable. Older children that are respectful and understand boundaries would be fine. Whisper is very active and LOVES her toys. She enjoys brushing when you can get her to stay still. She needs someone that can redirect her to a toy if she gets too crazed ;) She allows her nails to be cut and when worn out is quite the snuggle bug. She craves attention and truly believes it's all about her. You will need to keep her entertained by changing out things to keep her mentally stimulated and busy. She will need to have a relationship with a veterinarian if/when her congestion surfaces and a plan in place to keep comfortable. What she REALLY needs is a family of her own!

Grem is a gorgeous 3-year-old domestic longhair queen with a fluffy brown tabby coat, mesmerizing green eyes, and the calm, mature vibe of a cat who clearly knows she owns the place. She was surrendered through no fault of her own—her previous family simply couldn’t take her (or her siblings), and honestly, their loss is your gain because this girl is a whole vibe. She’s the definition of laid-back: her favorite hobbies include lounging by the window like a dramatic Victorian lady and melting into your lap whenever she decides it's cuddle o’clock. She gets along great with dogs and other cats as long as everyone takes their time with introductions. And don’t let her chill attitude fool you—hand her a feathery toy and she’ll surprise you with some elite-level play skills. She’s also ridiculously smart and has mastered the ancient art of opening doors, so no room is truly off-limits if Grem decides it isn’t. She’s litter trained, affectionate, hilarious without trying, and overall the purrrfect companion for anyone who appreciates a majestic cat with a touch of sass and a whole lot of charm. My name is Grandpa; I am a rescue cat that was found outside when I was very sick. I have been neutered, and I’m up-to-date with my vaccines. Sadly, I have tested positive for FIV/FeLV, so I am urgently hoping to find a foster home, or a forever home where I can be the only cat, and can live out my life happily with someone who loves me.
