Janine Wagner, of Janine The Bean Rescue, is a one-woman savior to these cats! She goes out every morning at 4am, 365 days a year in rain, snow & sleet in the Beechwood section of Rochester, NY to provide shelters and feed at 18 different locations, totaling nearly 100 cats. Plus, she TNR's (traps, neuters & returns) many of them to prevent overpopulation -- some of those cats that she traps, she tries to foster and get them adopted into forever homes and off the streets.

My name is Peppa Pig and no I am not a pig. Although I was pretty round when I came into my foster home. Inside of 24 hours, I popped out 6 babies and then after a few weeks, if that wasn't enough headaches...i mean little darlings to look after, I inherited a couple more to feed and look after. Honestly, I think I was doing enough before the last 2 came along but they are all weaned now and can find therir own homes. That means I get to relax now too and find my forever home too. Let me tell you about me. I was technically a stray as I was living outside, but I was friendly so perhaps I wasn't always an outside cat. I have adapted to having air conditioning and meals on time and in bowls very well and would not like to go back to living rough in the wilds of San Antonio. I am friendly and like to rub up against you when I am hungry, thirsty, want to be petted or just for the heck of it. I like having people around and I purr, purr, purr. I am about a year and a half old, and am ready for my forever home. My adoption fee is only $100 and I am fixed, microchipped and current on all of my needed vaccinations.

Piper is a stunning long-haired brown tabby whose peaceful world was shaken when her beloved person passed away. Now a bit nervous, she's seeking a serene home similar to what she was accustomed to. This big, beautiful gal tips the scales at over 19 lbs and needs a patient person who can provide a loving and calm environment. Piper finds comfort in cozy spots, especially boxes lined with soft blankets, and she loves listening to a soothing voice reading or talking to her. This gentle but shy feline is looking for her special someone to cherish and provide the secure, tranquil home she deserves.

Sparkles is a quiet Tortoiseshell kitty who loves treats. She has a striking coat pattern and her coat is super soft. Just look at those mint green eyes! She loves big, fluffy beds and she loves watching what is going on around her. Sparkles is shy and gets along with other cats. A kind, patient person would be ideal for Sparkles.

Bessie the Bobtail really has no tail, but that doesn't stop her. She loves to sit and watch her domain and keeps everyone in line. Bessie would love a home where she could perch in the sun and have someone to call her own. She is a regal lady and is learning to enjoy pets!

Diona is a striking cat with huge eyes. She loves to sit up high and watch people. She gets along well with other cats and absolutely loves TREATS! Diona would love nothing more than to have a home of her own. And look at those eyes!

Brownie is by far one of the softest and most affectionate cats you will ever meet! She is an absolutely beautiful cat who would love a person or family to call her own. You can pet her for hours and she never tires of the attention shown to her. She is a cuddle magnet. Brownie had eye surgery when she was younger to repair the way her eyelashes were growing and the surgery left her with an expression that makes her look like she is angry, but that is so not true. When you take the time to really look into her eyes, you will see nothing but love and affection. And she is SO SOFT!!!! Brownie needs to be on a strict special diet due to tummy sensitivity so she cannot eat any food other than her own. She also must be the only pet in the home as she would likely munch on any other pet's food. Brownie often gets overlooked when people are looking for a cat mostly due to her expression which is not her demeanor at all. She has an adorable personality and would make such a great companion!

Chicken Cutlet is 1 year old. He came to the shelter when his owner could no longer care for him. Chicken gets along well with other cats and dogs. He has loved every human he has met and is always looking for attention.
