There are so many cats that are stray, lost or (sadly) thrown away by their owners and left on the streets to fend for themselves trying to find food and a warm, dry place to sleep. Janine Wagner, of Janine The Bean Rescue, is a one-woman savior to these cats! She goes out every morning at 4am, 365 days a year in rain, snow & sleet in the Beechwood section of Rochester, NY to provide shelters and feed at 18 different locations, totaling nearly 100 cats. Plus, she TNR's (traps, neuters & returns) many of them to prevent overpopulation -- some of those cats that she traps, she tries to foster and get them adopted into forever homes and off the streets.

Lenox is a charming medium-haired black cat, featuring a unique patch of white under her neck. At just 2 years old, she was rescued from life on the streets after being abandoned. While she may initially be a bit shy around unfamiliar faces, she soon reveals her affectionate side. Lenox loves being held and enjoys delightful chin scratches. Although she isn't particularly keen on other cats, she might be able to tolerate a calm feline companion . Given her gentle temperament, we recommend a quiet home with only adults or children aged 12 and older. It’s essential that the household is dog-free. Lenox is spayed, parasite treated, has age appropriate vaccinations, tested negative for both FeLV and FIV and micro chipped. Hi, I'm Hilly. I have been through a lot in my life. I lost my first family of seven years when they moved out of town and left me behind. Then I found a wonderful mom for the last three years. Sadly, my mom went to Heaven recently and my heart is broken. I miss sitting on our chair and snuggling together. I miss sleeping with her at night. I am very sweet and affectionate. I don't ask for much. I like to spend the day hanging out on the couch or a comfy chair, if you snuggle with me, that's even better. I also enjoy looking out the window.
