Abner is a male, short haired grey/black tiger with white coloring. He was born sometime in June and is a very energetic, playful kitten, If there is trouble around, he will find it. He is shy at first but warms up fairly fast. If you are petting another kitten he will get in your face so that you pay attention to him. Abner has twice the energy and curiosity than his quiet brother, Avalanche and will keep you amused with his crazy antics. Our kitten adoption fee is $85 fully vetted....but we are offering a very special deal to our kitten lovers. Avalanche is a male kitten with a longer white coat with a solid black tail and some black markings. His beautiful longer fur will probably need to be brushed regularly. He was born in June and would probably do better in a quiet home. Unlike his brother Abner, he get frightened of strange noises and heads for his safe place. But when you find him and pet him, he relaxes and starts to purr again. His favorite thing to play with are wands & strings..maybe because you're playing with him, but he plays with other toys when he thinks you aren't looking. He might be a little cautious about snagging the toys when he can be overwhelmed by his brother who plays like a maniac. Forever Home Needed for Rufus Hi! We are looking to rehome our younger cat, Rufus, and find him a loving, permanent home where he can thrive. As we have now settled in Ireland, we sadly cannot bring him over, so our goal is to place him with a wonderful family in the U.S. Rufus is a healthy, friendly 3-year-old male cat. He is great with other cats, dogs, and children, and is fully litter-trained with no behavioral issues. He can be shy at first, but once he warms up, he becomes social, affectionate, playful, and very adaptable. He is truly a lovely companion. 📍 Location: Rufus is currently in Wadsworth, Ohio. I came from a house where I was living with 53 other cats! Most of us were sick and flea infested. Our owner voluntarily surrendered us to do what was best. Now that I'm back up to health, I'm ready for a new start! Mavis has been vaccinated, wormed, spayed/neutered and tested negative for FELV which is all included in the adoption fee. This cat is FIV positive which means that their immune system could become a little weaker than a non FIV cat. FIV cannot be transmitted to humans or dogs and is only transmitted to other cats through mating and deep puncture wounds. It is not spread via grooming or sharing food bowls or litter boxes. So as long as they like other cats they can be adopted to a home with them whether the existing cats are FIV or not. FIV+ cats live long happy lives and usually live just as long as non FIV cats. If you would like to adopt this cat, you must come into the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 12-4. (Closed Mondays & Wednesdays) All cats must leave the shelter in a carrier. If you do not bring one with you, one must be purchased at the shelter if available for $6.
