Story
With her stunning tortoiseshell coat and glowing amber eyes, Sasha is as beautiful on the outside as she is within. This young mama was transferred to us at the end of April from an overcrowded shelter, along with her three adorable kittens (Stanley, Sonya, and Gandolf). After raising her babies in one of our loving foster homes, Sasha is finally ready for something just for her: a forever home. While we don’t know how she ended up in the shelter system, what we do know is that Sasha has shown quiet strength, patience and a gentle nature throughout her journey. She may do best in a calmer home where she can take her time to decompress and truly settle in. Once she’s comfortable, her sweet personality begins to shine. Based on our observation, Sasha seems to enjoy the company of other cats. During her exploratory time at the shelter, she likes to stroll past other cats' cages and give them a friendly visit. She’s thoughtful, observant and clearly curious about future feline friends. If you’re looking for a peaceful, beautiful companion with a heart full of resilience and quiet love, Sasha might just be your perfect match. All she needs now is a safe space, a little patience and someone to finally put her first. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com. Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter animal in need!

Story
Say hello to Sushi, a stunning black and white beauty with a luxurious medium-length coat and the most adorable white feet you’ve ever seen—complete with long tufts of fur between her toes, just like the Grinch (but way cuter and much friendlier)! Sushi came to us at the end of May with her gal pal Dora and while they don’t need to be adopted together, we think it’s sweet for adopters to know they arrived together both searching for their purrfect forever homes. Sushi was surrendered by owner for the purpose of adoption. With her long, graceful white whiskers and her regal appearance, Sushi is sure to turn heads. But beauty isn’t her only strong suit. She's sweet and has a charm about her. Because of her gorgeous medium-length coat, Sushi will need an adopter who’s ready to show her a little extra TLC with regular brushing. She deserves to look and feel her best every day. If you're looking for a feline friend who’s both elegant and endearing, Sushi might just be the perfect match. Come meet this toe-tufted treasure. Are you ready to be her favorite groomer and forever human? The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com. Story
Meet Lay’s – A Snack-Sized Sweetheart in Need of a Forever Home Lay’s isn’t just a name, it’s a whole vibe. This gorgeous medium-haired girl is as irresistible as your favorite bag of chips: comforting and impossible to stop loving once you start. Originally picked up from the streets with her three kittens (Valentina & Lime, Sour Cream and Onion, Salt and Vinegar), Lay’s proved to be an exceptional mama. She protected and nurtured her babies with love and care, even while navigating the tough life of a stray. But during her recovery from her scheduled ear tip and spay, it became clear that Lay’s is far too sweet and affectionate to return to street life. She was officially surrendered to us and now she’s on the path to finding the forever home she truly deserves. * Beauty note: Lay’s has a luxurious medium-length coat that will need regular brushing to keep it tangle-free and fabulous. * A mark from her past: She has a noticeable patch of missing fur on her nose. It's an old wound from her street days and a reminder how far she’s come. Lay’s has spent her time caring for others and now it’s her turn to be the one cherished and cared for. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion with a soft coat and an even softer heart, Lay’s is ready to fill that spot on your couch—and in your life. Adopt Lay’s and give this mama the forever love she’s earned. Story
Miyagi was adopted in Sept of 2019 at 3 mo old. At adoption, she was classified as a special needs adoption due to having a slight head tremor for unknown reasons. As time went on, Miyagi had her first seizure. After a few breakthrough seizures and many medication adjustments, Miyagi was additionally prescribed Keppra as well, and was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy. I was told by many doctors that more testing could be conducted, such as an MRI of her brain, but that this would cost thousands of dollars and still might not give us a solid answer or a cure. Her quality of life is great and is maintained through medication. She now is prescribed Keppra 3x a day (every 8 hours) and Phenobarbital 2x a day (every 12 hours). Miyagi is a sweet, loving, and cuddly cat. She is great around children and absolutely loves to sit on your lap. We are looking to rehome her due to us expecting a baby in July, which will result in us having 3 under 3, and Miyagi deserving more undivided attention.

Story
Betta is a sweetheart perfect kitten, quick to purr. Meet him at his Medina foster home. He was born March 9 to a stray mom in Wadsworth. Mom is a friendly tortoiseshell who has already been adopted! Check out Betta's ear tufts and the brown stripes in his fur! (The light has to hit him just right.) He is too young to be an only child and needs to be adopted with a sibling or go to the home of another young cat. (Sister Molly is a torti. Brother Salmon is orange.)July 9, 2025, 10:33 am
