Story
This sweet little kitty’s name is Cobble. He and his siblings were found outside. We don’t know what challenges they faced while trying to grow up outside, but that time has made him a bit cautious around people and new environments. Cobble is a handsome, long-haired tabby with a polite demeanor. Even when he’s nervous he’s still polite with people. He is still learning how to be a cat. While he’s hasn’t been brave enough to solicit attention on his own, he does allow his foster to approach him and give him gentle pets. Cobble has started to enjoy being petted! He’s learned to head bump, purr, roll on his side, and makes the smallest air biscuits with his little paws. Cobble has an adorable, perfect purr when he’s in this state. He is becoming especially flirty and seeks more attention (as long as you make the first move). Cobble is getting braver everyday and has learned a lot from his more socially confident roommates. His cat friends have helped him come out of his shell so much that it is in his best interest to be adopted with a friend or into a multi-cat home. He’s met a dog before- he was shy and sought refuge in a cat tower. He wasn’t upset with the dog so it’s possible he could coexist with a gentle, cat-savvy canine that will give him the time & space to adjust. He does hide and avoid the foster's toddler, so it may be best for him to be in an adult only home, or in a home with older children. Cobble is more of a wallflower, and likes to sit and observe the room’s dynamics. He loves lounging and napping on soft surfaces (cat beds, soft chairs, blankets). He is amazingly fluffy and soft (he takes care of himself well!). He also likes to play footsies with the resident cats underneath the door. He would benefit from a cat-experienced home that has a soft spot for scared and nervous cats. This would be a home that has lots of time and patience! Cobble is about eight months old. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. If you feel your home may be a good fit, then please apply for Cobble today!

Story
This dainty girl is Tzippy! She and her siblings, named for Maurice Sendak’s Wild Things, were found outside in a park and brought to TCR by a kind neighbor. Tzippy (the 'tz' is pronounced like the 'ts' in 'cats') is a sweet, beautiful girl whose love and trust may take a little while to earn, but it is so worthwhile. She likes to observe from a distance before jumping into anything, like a wise owl. But, once she feels comfy, she loves to chase wand toys, wrestle with her brother Screm, and get pets! She is also very agile - unlike her siblings, she (almost) always lands gracefully after a big leap! Tzippy loves churu treats, which can be a good way to show her you are trustworthy! Though a bit shy at first, she does warm up quickly and is very easy to handle. Tzippy gets along easily with other cats, and loves her remaining littermate, Screm! She will need to be adopted with Screm or to a home with another young, playful cat friend. Tzippy has not met dogs or kids, but could likely get along with respectful, older dogs and kids, with proper introductions. Tzippy is about 4 months old. She has been spayed, dewormed, flea treated, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested FIV/FeLV negative. Apply to bring her (and Screm?) home today!

Story
Meet Charlie! Charlie is gorgeous like a super meowdel. Also like a super meowdel, she would prefer that you admire her beauty from afar. Though Charlie has come a long way during her time in foster, she is still unsure of humans. She does not prefer to be touched but will tolerate short pets if you manage to slowly approach her when she is relaxed in a cat cubby. She can be sassy and hisses - but she has never displayed any actual aggression. Charlie loves wet food, her foster friends, and relaxing. She even recently started showing interest in playing with a wand toy with her foster mom! When her foster mom isn't around, she enjoys playing chase with the other cats. Charlie is FeLV+, but she would do best being adopted into a home where there is another welcoming but confident cat around. (Perhaps you have a FeLV+ kitty looking for a friend?) Due to Charlie still learning to trust humans, she would need to go to a home that is quiet with no children. She will also need an extremely patient adopter who would be willing to start her in a small room with minimal hiding spaces who has time to spend with her each day to continue to reinforce to her that humans are okay. Her perfect adopter can bond with her over wet food and continue to play with her with the wand toy (once she's ready!). Charlie is estimated to be about 3.5 years old. She has been spayed, dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV- and FeLV+ (progressive). This chronic illness doesn't currently affect Charlie's daily life much; however, the FeLV virus may eventually affect her health and lifespan, as FeLV impairs the cat's immune system. Becoming established with a vet supportive of treating an FeLV+ cat, controlling secondary infections, and treating other illnesses as they arise is essential to maintaining an FeLV+ kitty. Do you think you have what it takes to love from afar, and are you willing to love a "project cat"? Apply to adopt gorgeous girl Charlie today!

Story
Introducing Pearl! She is a beautiful young lady looking for the perfect home to suit her sophisticated tastes. Pearl and her siblings were found outside. We don’t know what challenges they faced while trying to grow up out there, but that time has made her a bit cautious around people and new environments. Pearl was the only sister with three brothers. She became protective of them, almost like a mama bear. However her confidence made her the toughest one of the litter to crack. Pearl is more independent when it comes to people. She is polite and lets her foster mom approach her to scratch her head or under her chin. Pearl is not afraid to let you know if she doesn’t like how she’s being interacted with. She does have a soft spot for Churu and tolerates more when it’s presented to her. Pearl would be a great friend for another cat that would like to cuddle and keep her company. She would be a great companion for your cat(s), and will probably warm up faster to a cat than a human. She wasn’t sure how to handle a dog when first meeting one. She was timid and hid when she got the chance. She might be able to integrate into a home with cat-savvy calm dogs, provided with slow, proper introductions. We recommend that Pearl go to a patient home that has cat experience with no young children. She will need a home to provide her time to adjust and give her grace while getting used to her new home. Pearl is around 9 months old and has been spayed, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. If you have a soft spot for a fluffy, sassy, independent lady, looking for a cuddly cat for your cat, and feel that your home may be a good fit for Pearl, then please apply today! Because even street hardened gals deserve a forever home and love.

Story
Meet Jeffrey Jowls, a sweet and sassy boy who just wants a sunny spot to nap in. Jeffrey came to us after spending time outdoors and arrived pretty matted, so he had to rock a classic “trash cat” shave. Thankfully, he’s taking it all in stride. He loves being brushed and petted, and now that he’s feeling better, he’s doing a much nicer job keeping himself tidy. Jeffrey is an absolute cuddle bug who lives for pets, treats, and a good lounge session. When he first arrived, he could get a little sassy if he became overstimulated and would let you know with a hiss, so we think he’d do best in an adults-only home where his boundaries will be understood and respected. These days he’s a little less sassy but still likes to let his feelings be known when nap time gets interrupted (he gently growled at his foster mom when she made him get off his perch to take photos). He absolutely loves his window seat and seems to feel really comfortable there, so we think he would like room with a view away from the bustle especially while he settles in. He came from an area with lots of cats, so with slow, proper introductions, we think he could do well with another feline friend who minds their own business and gives him his space, but he’d also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only. Jeffrey hasn’t met a dog yet. Jeffrey is estimated to be 2 years old. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, flea treated, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. He’s all set and ready to head home with his future family—bad haircut and all!

Story
Love Sour Patch Kids? Meet the ultimate “first they’re sour, then they’re sweet” kitty! Stewie was found on a rainy night, soaked but friendly enough that his rescuer thought he must belong to someone. But nope - no chip, not fixed, no collar. He was originally sent to a local shelter to be adopted, but that environment was too stressful for him, so he’s been decompressing in a loving foster home and showing off his *very big* personality. Now, about that personality… those who know Stewie and have been accepted into his inner circle say he’s the sweetest boy ever... but he definitely has main character energy (and some major trust issues at first). It takes Stewie some time to warm up to new people - he can get very overstimulated easily at first and will need an adopter who understands cat body language and how to give him space when he needs it. He would do best in a calm, low-chaos home with adults only. Once Stewie has accepted you, he’s all in: he runs to you when you walk in the door, he loves gentle play, bird watching, and has nonstop curiosity - cupboards, shelves, countertops, watching the toilet flush, you name it. He’s smart, affectionate, and a total goofball. Because of his suspicious-at-first nature, you can also think of him as your personal security guard (who secretly just wants cuddles). Stewie does well with and enjoys other cats- we believe having a feline friend for him would help his confidence and that another young cat would be a good match for his energetic, playful energy. He could also go home as a solo kitty. Stewie is estimated to be about a year old. He is neutered, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. If you’re patient, cat-savvy, and willing to help a conflicted cat through the initial adjustment period, consider Stewie! He’ll “help” with chores, follow you around, and bop around the house just doing his silly Stewie thing.
