Story
Our family adopted “Seabass” in February of 2022. We unexpectedly welcomed twin newborns in January of 2023. Unfortunately our lives have been pure chaos and we don’t have the time to provide Seabass with the attention that he needs. He is a friendly cat, but not overly needy. He does enjoy to spend periodic time outside daily and otherwise will lounge on his own. He was groomed in December, but has not made it to the vet. He was Feline Leukemia tested and received basic vaccinations, a rabies vaccine and wormed at the time of his adoption. Will provide his food/water dispenser, and remaining cat food and litter.

Story
Jax aka BIG FLUFFY is ready to find her forever home! Jax was rescued back in October from a single yard in the North Hills... along with 18 of her friends! Jax and co were used to being fed by a kind colony caretaker, but unfortunately none of the crew were spayed or neutered, and the neighbors in the area were fed up with the amount of cats floating around. They eventually decided to take matters into their own hands and try to scare the cats off using inhumane methods such as shooting at them and encouraging their dog to go after them. When Jax arrived at TCR, it took her some time to warm up. Once she realized that we were only interested in being friends, she has been accepting of affection and pets, and she will enthusiastically bump her head against you and roll all over while aggressively making biscuits. Jax loves getting attention more than anything, but she will still need a slow start to acclimate to a new home. She will do best with peaceful adopters who can commit to starting her off in one small room and taking things at a pace that is comfortable to her. Jax has lived with many other cats in the past, and she would likely enjoy a confident cat friend who can help her come out of her shell. She would also likely do okay with respectful, cat-savvy kiddos. None of the kitties from this location seemed to be accepting of dogs, so she would most likely prefer a home without one! Jax is estimated to be about 2.5 years old. She has been spayed, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Story
Trish was an amazing and attentive mom who protected her babies at all costs... despite being found with them in a trash can. Now that her babies are grown and adopted, she is ready to settle down into a comfy home of her own. Trish sometimes is more like a dog than a cat - she loves enrichment activities like hunting for treats and playing fetch, and she has an amazing recall! Trish comes running every time she hears her name. She is a curious girl who loves playing and lounging on her window perch. While Trish takes some time to adjust to new people and can be sassy, she really craves affection. Trish likes to be pet and scratched... but on her terms! The second you walk into the room with her, she runs right over, rubs her chin all over you, and rolls around on the floor. She can get overstimulated or spooked by human hands approaching her, so she would do best in a home without young children. Trish wants to be the only diva in your life so she would prefer to be the only kitty in the home, but she does fine with her foster mom's medium sized dog! Trish is a beautifully fluffy girl and has a loud purr that will melt your heart! "Trash Mom" Trish is estimated to be about six years old. She has been spayed, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Are you looking for someone with LOTS of personality? Consider Trish!

Story
Are you ready for the sweetest cat ever? Meet Rhiannon! Rhiannon was rescued from outdoors and has had her fair share of hardship in her young life... included being treated for - and fully recovering from - feline infectious peritonitis, or FIP! This disease was previously fatal, but thankfully a treatment now exists. Rhiannon has ALWAYS been the happiest, friendliest, most purriest, social, and loving cat. Despite undergoing a treatment of 12 weeks of painful daily injections, Rhiannon would purr through her shots each day and never held a grudge. She just loves life and is such a curious, fun-loving sweetheart. Rhiannon recently had an accident in foster and broke two of her toes on one of her front paws. She flew through the surgery to amputate these toes with flying colors, and she runs and plays (and mostly looks) like nothing ever happened. Nothing slows this girl down! Rhiannon is very active and playful... she seems to be making up for the time she lost being sick during her kittenhood! She should be adopted along with another cat here at TCR (she's being fostered with TCR adoptable Fozzie, or her brother and fellow FIP Warrior, Jack, is also available!), or into a home with another active young cat she can play with. She requires a slow introduction, as she can be a little growly with new cats at first, but loves playing with them once she's comfy. Rhiannon would be great with dogs, and/or kids, with proper introductions. Rhiannon is a little over a year old. She has been spayed, dewormed, flea treated, vaccinated, microchipped, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. She was treated for and has recovered from FIP while in our care. Although a reinfection with FIP would be considered rare, we would still recommend that any interested adopters educate themselves on this disease and what signs/symptoms to look out for. Story
This sweet bean is Lady Grey! Lady Grey was rescued from a busy street in Mt. Oliver, and she's happy to be safe and warm inside! LG is a darling gal who needs a little time to warm up at first, but she is so sweet and affectionate once she does! Lady Grey just needs someone steadfast to show her that things are OK, and she will be purring, making biscuits, and rubbing all over your lap in no time. LG would do best starting out in one small room until she is comfortable, as new people and places can still make her quite nervous! Lady Grey has been fostered with other cats and would likely do well with an outgoing kitty companion who can help show her the ropes. She is gentle with respectful kiddos and easy to handle. Lady Grey is estimated to be about a year old. She is spayed, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Do you have a loving, friendly home for this dainty and adorable lady? Please apply today!

Story
Meet Davy! This adorable guy came to Animal Friends when his previous owner was no longer able to care for him. Davy is about 8 years old and very sweet. He loves sunbathing, catnip, and curling up next to his person for pets. He is easygoing, and could live with other cats, dogs, or kids. Davy is also diabetic and would need to go to a home that is willing to help him manage this. Davy is one of Yana's "Special" Felines which means his requested adoption donation has been underwritten and he will be sent home with an individualized starter kit of supplies and other support based on his unique needs. He is currently residing in a foster home and would love to schedule an appointment to meet you! Fill out an application --> ThinkingOutsideTheCage.org All of our animals are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and microchipped!
