Sumi-e is a gorgeous girl and she knows it! With her confident airs and debonair strut, it's hard to miss her love of regal life, as well-exemplified by her graceful hold of her tail as she grooms it. While she's not a fan of being picked up, she loves cuddles - especially on your lap. In some of her happy states, she will stand on the nearest furniture piece to chat with you, and often will "bow", which she does by ducking her head in a graceful tilt. CHILLED-OUT LAP CAT WHO LIKES TO NAP AND CUDDLE DOB 4/1/20 Hey there, everyone! I’m Lucy, a sweet, cuddly, easygoing calico/ tortoiseshell with white gal with a big fluff of a tail. My thick, luxurious fur is soft and plush like a bunny's. I love to climb up in Foster Meowmy’s lap for her to scratch my cheeks, chin, and ears. Sometimes I nap, and sometimes we binge on Netflix or Animal Planet. I’m a real sucker for canned food and yummy treats. Here’s my rescue story: While passing a dilapidated apartment complex, a Good Samaritan discovered an injured male cat whose leg was in bad shape. She took him to the vet, where his leg was amputated and he was neutered. When she returned to the apartment complex to release him, she discovered a friendly pregnant calico. You guessed it – yours truly. She put two and two together and figured out that the male’s injuries hadn’t stopped him from being a lothario. My future foster Meowmy scooped up me and brought me home, and Leon, Sunny, Mia, and Leah were born in foster care. Now I’m ready for my forever home, so please arrange to meet me. Consider adopting me with my daughter Leah. If you’re looking for a chilled-out and reserved furry companion, I’m your gal! Incidentally the advantage of adopting a gal like me who’s past the stage of kitten mayhem is that I’m much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break your treasured accessories. I was so fortunate to have had my foster dad rescue me and my brother from a rough neighborhood of La Grange, TX. We were starving and he gave all the best food and loving care that we needed yet couldn't ask for. I love playing with him and my foster cat siblings; we have so much fun running after toys and wrestling. When I get tired out, I have many options of where to sleep and with whom to cuddle, although my brother is usually my top choice. I can take a bit of criticism but if the worst someone could say about you is that you (and I mean a feline you) doesn’t like riding in cars, taking a bath and small children, I would say that you are A-OK by me. Ace, Deuce’s big brother who raised him from a puppy, adapted more easily to their new environment and remained faithfully by Deuce's side, offering comfort and support. Though Deuce struggles with anxiety and reacts strongly, especially around men, he is learning how to trust and understands the world can be a safe and joyous place.
