Story
[FOSTER TO ADOPT] Meet Oscar, a very handsome and very silly Tuxedo lad. When he warms up to you (a process that will take equal parts patience and treats), this dignified gentleman will have no qualms about hilariously dive bombing his head into your hand or leg for pets. Chin scritches are his favorite, and are a quick way to get him to start purring. Just try and restrain yourself from gently booping him right on his perfect chin circle, we dare you! He's very acrobatic and loves chasing around wand toys (fair warning to his new guardian: your home will slowly be littered in feathers from his enthusiastic efforts). After he's done playing, he is happy to flop alongside you while you work or watch tv. He's a curious boy, and will always be intrigued by whatever it is that you're doing. Oscar is currently on a diet to trim down a little bit. He's also been diagnosed with a heart murmur, which we're in the process of investigating. If this sweet kitty and his little marshmallow paws speak to you, visit https://www.queencitycatsvt.org/ to fill out an application today!

Story
Alice is the social butterfly of the Brady bunch and truly loves her humans. This 3-month-old girl is playful, confident, and always the first to investigate something new—especially if it might involve food. Alice adores interactive play and thrives on attention, happily soaking up pets and snuggles whenever they’re offered. She’s great with kids, endlessly patient, and clearly happiest when she’s right in the middle of the action with her people or her siblings. At Queen City Cats, we believe two kittens are better than one! We only adopt kittens 6 months and younger out in pairs or to another household with another young cat for the kitten's social and emotional health. If you want to meet Alice, complete an adoption application at queencitycatsvt.org.

Story
SPECIAL NEEDS - MEDICALEaston came to CVHS with his brother Finley due to some lifestyle changes that were too much for them. He is timid at first with new people, but once he gets to know you, he loves to be petted! He is a sweet boy who would love to curl up next to you on the couch. He previously has been mostly indoors, with occasionally being able to roam outside. He does have prior experience living with canines and children, and did well with them, but may prefer a calmer, quieter home due to his shyer personality. He has done well with his feline roommates here in our colony rooms. For a while we pulled Easton off our website, as we were concerned we were seeing signs of stress, as Easton was plucking his fur. Bloodwork showed that this handsome cat struggles with high blood pressure. We`ve worked with our vet to adjust medications over the last few weeks, and he`s at a good dosage that a willing adopter can continue with him twice a day orally, and the medication is not expensive. He takes his medication like a champ, and appears to be feeling so much better. Do you have a place in your heart and home for a feline who needs a little more care?
