**I`m available for adoption as a Working Cat!**· Intake Reason: Stray. I had an ear tip & microchip on intake, but no owner came forward.· Socialization: Semi-Friendly· WCHS recommends I am an: Outdoor Cat. I spent 2 weeks in a foster home but decided I prefer the outdoor life.Working cats are the unsung heroes of the outdoor community. These outdoor-savvy cats thrive in environments where they can put their natural instincts to work. They excel at pest and disease control, helping keep rodents at bay, and they often form bonds with the people and animals who share their space.Adopting a working cat is simple and incredibly rewarding. Caretakers must provide the essentials-shelter, food, and water-and have a small temporary space, such as a large wire dog crate, to quarantine the cat for two weeks after adoption. This settling in period helps the cat learn that your property is home. All working cats come already spayed/neutered and vaccinated, and adoption fees are `name your own price.` If you`re looking for a natural pest control partner who brings a little extra life, your property, a working cat might be the perfect fit.If you`re interested in adopting me as an outdoor cat, please fill out an application online on the working cat page.

Story
This is sweet Angel. She is a very petite little kitty that I found living outdoors at a vacant farmhouse. She was definitely not feral, but she was very skittish around humans. She was cold and starving, and I was able to capture her in the hopes of finding her a good home. She had obviously been litter trained at some point, so I'm not sure how she got to be living out in the cold. I've earned her trust and her personality has now come out. She is the sweetest, most gentle and darling little girl who just loves to be around her person! She is playful and sweet, uses the scratching pads and litter boxes. Loves to be held or carried around! She would do best in a calmer home without dogs or small children. Other friendly cats would be ok. Preference will be given to homes that feed balanced raw or wet (canned) food and that understand that health doesn't come from shots. Pets are not pincushions. She is only still available because this website keeps deactivating her profile.

Story
This adorably and somewhat confusingly named sister duo are searching for a calm, loving home where patience is a virtue and slow blinks are their love language. Mario and Luigi are deeply bonded and do best together, moving through life at their own gentle pace. Mario loves attention and will wrap herself around your legs while purring and nuzzle up with you to sleep at night. Sudden movements and loud noises still make her pause, so she’s hoping for a peaceful home where sunbeams are plentiful and surprises are not. Luigi is a gentle, shy sweetheart with a big heart and soft paws. She's very affection curious. She’ll come close, give you observing slow blinks, and maybe even rub up near you, but she’s still working up the courage for pets. With time and patience, her loving personality will shine through. Having Mario by her side makes the whole world feel a little safer. They are both very affectionate with other cats and would thrive in a calm, cat-friendly home. If you have a quiet space and a gentle heart, Luigi and Mario will be the perfect feline pair to add cozy companionship to your home. DOB: 11/28/24 All cats are altered, microchipped, dewormed and given age appropriate vaccinations. PLEASE NOTE: We do not have a physical shelter, therefore all our cats reside in foster homes. We do require a completed application prior to setting up a Meet & Greet in a foster home. Complete an application today! https://www.urbancats.org/adopt Si necesitas ayuda en Español, por favor contáctenos a info@urbancats.org. If cats are listed, consider them available. Story
Oreo is a sweet, lovable cat. She is a female cat, born 10/12/2023. I adopted her at about 10 weeks old with her brother. Oreo has anxiety and with any kind of change, which causes her to urinate. She does have crystals and I have her on prescription food which is about $100 for the biggest bag. She also like the wet food. Oreo needs to be in a household that doesn’t have changes, has the attention she needs, and can give her all the love. I have 2 children who she’s amazing with, but again, gives her anxiety. I just can’t handle her not peeing for so long, then something changes that upsets her then she pees. She has so much love to give. I am willing to pay for updated shots and give all her food. I just need Oreo to go to an amazing home that can provide the love and support she deserves.
