Story
Ridge is a 6-7 month old kitty with a beautiful ebony coat. He is a lover of all cats and dogs. He very much wants an older sibling to be buddies with. He rubs all over the older boy cats in his foster home. He would be okay with a nice dog in his new home too but a cat friend is necessary. He does enjoy pets but is still a bit shy. He likes to talk to you when he is hungry. He would love a fun yard to play in with his buddies when the weather is nice. In Soldotna. Call or text 907 953-0333

Story
Have you ever met the Beauty Queen of the North? Pretty Girl is here and her title fits her to perfection! With her soft gray and white coat, she is quick to warm up to you. Give her a minute or two so she can check you out and when she decides the coast is clear she is ready for pets and to purrs. Despite her petite size she has a big heart and the kindest eyes. She’ll arch her back in contentment as you stroke her head to tail, walk a few steps away and then come back for more. She is so kind, loving and no trouble at all. She also loves sleeping on the bed at night! Pretty Girl has a favorite time of day too. Lunchtime! This is when her foster Dad opens the cabinet and out comes the lick able treats! Nothing could be better! She’s not picky on flavors, just content to have a scrumptious lunch! She hasn’t been around kids but would probably be fine with older calmer children in a settled home. She loves other cats and if not adopted with her daughter Rosetta she must have another kitty companion in her new home. Pretty Girl hasn’t been around dogs before, but a mellow older dog who would leave her alone would probably be just fine. Pretty Girl is about 3 years old. She loves being outside and will need to have a safe yard to explore and catch bugs on nice days during the summer. She is in Wasilla. Please call 907-350-8089. Thank you!

Story
Noddy is a pretty senior girl maybe about 12 years old. She is lovely, very neat, and the sweetest thing. She is very friendly and follows her people around like a dog. She LOVES food of all kinds and will cry in the kitchen for a snack. Which is great since Noddy has hyperthyroidism and gets a transdermal medication rubbed on her ears twice a day. She is very easy to treat. She loves cuddles but she also likes to have some freedom of space. She likes to step outside but doesn’t wander far. Just feeling the fresh air and watching the birds and butterflies flit around is satisfying. She doesn’t particularly like other cats but could live with another cat that would leave her alone. She does ok with nice dogs who respect her space. Noddy is hoping that there is someone out there who would like to have her sweet companionship and love. She's in Soldotna. Call or text 907 953-0333

Story
Meet Honey Bear, AKA Woolly Bugger! She is fluffy just like the fly fishing lure! Her purrrrsonality is that of a very curious and playful kitten but with the ability to crash out on the bed at the speed of light. She came into rescue with her sister Dapple, and their mom who was again pregnant. Likes: Cat tree, toys, soft food, scrambled eggs, snuggles and a large area to have zoomies! Dislikes: aggressive kitties, dogs who steal all the lovins, and being told "no". (She is fine with nice doggos.) She will need a kitty friend in her new home. (If that was her sister Dapple, it would be perfect. But they do not need to be adopted together as long as she has a feline friend.) Honey is a natural girl kind of kitty and will need a safe place to play outside during the lovely days of spring. She is around 7-8 months old, spayed, chipped, dewormed, ear mite treated and vaxed. In Soldotna but can travel for the purrrrrfect family! Call or text 907 953-0333

Story
It's interesting to know a cat's history. But sometimes it's almost too hard to tell their story. That is the case with Tazzie. Tazzie is so pretty, and an absolute sweetheart. If you want love; you need Tazzie. She is a friendly purring darling who loves to be with her people. Cuddle with you. Sleep with you. Be picked up and given kisses. Happy to see you walk in the door after work. The almost perfect best friend cat companion. She is all that wonderfulness and more. She is amazing. But the most amazing thing is how Tazzie is such a kind and loving girl after she has suffered the pain and terror of being tortured. Except for the very obvious scars on her head and over her body, you would hardly know that Tazzie had ever been anything but surrounded by complete love. She was loved; that is obvious. Her person loved her very much. And when she had to go out of town she asked a good friend to stay at her home to take care of Tazzie. When she got home, she found raw wounds all over Tazzie's body! It wasn't until she remembered the camera she had left on her shelter and saw the video that she found out what had happened to her beloved cat. The friend's boyfriend had screamed at Tazzie and chased her around the house and repeatedly burned her with a lit cigarette. All over her body. The outcome for the torturer was a few days in jail, a minor fine and not being allowed to have an animal for some period of time. For Tazzie it was a painful recovery of healing from her wounds. The physical scars are still there; you can feel them on her head, her back, her sides. And overcoming the fear of torture. With the love and devotion of her mom, she has clearly managed to hold on to her trust of humans, her sweet way of being. And then another tragedy. Tazzie's beloved mom died in a car accident and once again she found herself without a protector, this time homeless and loveless. And yet now, in her foster home, she is still, or again, a most loving sweet girl. Always ready for affection and reassurance that everything is alright. And full of hope that there will be a good life ahead. That there is happiness waiting for her. And that is what we intend to find for her. Tazzie is probably around 6 years old. She does not seem to enjoy other cats; likely she was the only cat in her past home. She would love to be the one and only again but it's possible that another cat that can do their own thing would be fine. We don't know about dogs. Tazzie will need a stable, loving, and absolutely devoted family where there is a little yard that she can go outside to enjoy and take in the peace of the natural world. Nothing less will be acceptable. In Anchorage. Call 907 980-8898 TAZZIE HAS BEEN SPONSORED BY JACCIE, ROD, MAISY AND LEO; SHE MAY BE ADOPTED TO A LOVING FAMILY FOR $40!

Story
Camper is sleek, velvety boy with yellow eyes. He loves watching youtube videos of bird feeders, playing with toy mice, zooming around the house, and resting on the warmth of his foster family's laptop. He will start out shy but with some time in the right home he will blossom into a very sweet boy. He will crawl onto your lap, purring like crazy and begging for rubs. He's very soft and smooth. And he's very vocal, entertaining you with a variety of meows, chirps, and loud purrs. Camper is about a year old, and has very good habits--using scratching posts, litter box, etc. However, he is a bit of a fraidy cat until he gets comfortable with you. He's not a fan of wand toys and is a bit head shy. He needs a quiet, calm house without small children or a lot of activity. He does not like dogs, but would LOVE another cat friend to play/bond with. Camper would be a great addition to a small family that will give him a little time to adjust, then he will be your forever beautiful black panther boy! His foster dad says, "He's a good little dude." He is in Anchorage. Call 907 980-8898

Story
This is Wild Thing. Yes she is. Not wild like crazy wild. But wild like she once was a feral cat and now she loves living in a house with a family who loves her but petting is only when she is ready for petting. The rest of the time she hangs out with her cat friends, watches the dogs do their dog thing. Nap in cozy places, come for meals and snacks. Lives the easy life and is happy. She has quite an interesting tortoiseshell coat. Browns and black and oranges patterned in curious dapples and dollops. Not so great for camouflage in the house but in an autumn forest, she would be invisible. Wild Thing is not the kind of cat for everyone. But for someone who is that special wonderful person that will give a reserved cat a chance, the person who knows that love and patience pays off in the most amazingly joyful ways when a 'wild' cat comes to love you and lets you know how they finally finally trust that you are their family. Wild Thing is probably a little over a year old. Shy, skittish, uncertain with people. But a great friend of all nice cats. If you are her special one, please contact us at 907 980-8898

Story
Our family loves Shadow! We adopted him from the shelter about 10 years ago and had him neutered and microchipped. He is a low-maintenance cat, very independent. Shadow wants to be around people and loves to cuddle every chance he gets. Unfortunately our daughter had to move back home and brought her comfort animal with her, a young female cat. Shadow does not get along with this new cat and has been quite aggressive toward her. We've tried a behavioral therapist and medication to no avail. Our cat therapist believes finding Shadow a new home is the best solution.
