Story
**Nola is a Patient Paw, please ask about her reduced adoption fee!**Age: 8 years oldWeight: 5.6kg / 12.4lbsMeet Nola - a sweet but shy lady who blossoms best as the only cat in a calm, peaceful home. She can get a little spicy when she feels stressed or overwhelmed—she’s not mean, just nervous and needing space. With patience and respect for her boundaries, Nola shows her true gentle side. She previously spent some time in foster care where she had the time she needed to work through her fears and become the loyal companion you’re looking for. She picks her tribe and will let you know when you’ve been adopted into it. Once she does, she’ll stick to you like Velcro.Nola is a senior gal that still rocks the beauty of her youth. She’s a bit overweight and would benefit from a gradual weight loss plan to help her live a healthier, happier, and longer life. She might feel shy and unsure when she comes into her furever home; needing a little extra kindness and calm. Nola is searching for a home that is a relaxed and patient space where she can settle in at her own pace. She would benefit from a home with a consistent feeding schedule and a safe, comfortable environment. The foster noted that she rarely meows and was super friendly to other adults who came to visit. She didn’t meet any children when she was with the foster.Don`t worry about keeping an eye on the squirrels and magpies in the neighbourhood … Nola will do that for you.At the end of the day all she really wants is a sunny window and someone to care … don’t we all?

Story
Age: 1.5 yearsIf you`re looking for a cat that thrives on attention, get ready to meet Meatball! Having come to us as he was under-stimulated in his previous home, Meatball is looking for a family that can offer him lots of playtime, enrichment activities, and all of the attention he can get! He always wants to be a part of the action and will even meow if there is a door keeping him from seeing you. It`s also recommended that Meatball`s new home has no young kids since he can be conflicted at times when it comes to being pet. If you have the time and energy to help meet Meatball`s needs (and get all of the love in return!), then come learn more about Meatball today!

Lady Spencer is available through our `Adopt From a Foster Home` program. If you are interested in scheduling a meeting, please fill out the request form here: Adopt From Foster Form. Please do not make an appointment through our online booking calendar, as she is not available to meet on site.Age: 12 years oldLady Spencer may be getting up in years but she won`t let that stop her from chasing her toys, telling stories and cuddling up on the couch for a tv marathon. She`s got a sweet little squeak and big purr that she always brings out during brushing time - her favourite thing in the world is settling in for a gentle massage. This senior lady was quite affectionate in her previous home, but she`s still working on building confidence with her loving foster family, and likes to retreat to the closet when she needs a safe space for a nap. Don`t worry - she always comes out for dinner time! Spencer is hoping for a home without other pets, as she really just wants a peaceful space to snooze, a low-key play session every day, and a family that can see through her timid exterior to the incredible girl within. If you want a low key kitty with a lot of love to give, then you NEED a senior cat like Lady Spencer. Inquire about her today!

Please do not make an appointment through our online booking calendar, as they are not available to meet on site.Sweet Chutney is such a goofball! She`s got a coat of gorgeous calico fluff, and knows how to use her looks to get what she wants! What does she want? A room full of toys that she can chase, pounce, scatter and snuggle! Chutney came from an overcrowding situation and is still gaining confidence with people. She`ll softly rest her little paws your leg to say hello, but isn`t quite ready to be touched. She has lived with cats before though, so it`s possible another kitty friend may help her gain confidence. If you can give a shy cat a soft place to land (and all the toys she can dream of) then reach out to CHS today!

Story
Sam and Dean can`t go home until December 6.Sam and Dean are a bonded pair and must go home together!Meet Sam and Dean! This handsome pair of brothers are litter mates who`ve been together ever since, and now they`re looking for a new home! With their proclivity for long naps cuddled up together, and epic bird watching sessions in their favourite window, they`d be the perfect fit for a calmer household looking for some affectionate boys to brighten life. Sam and Dean enjoy long gentle strokes down their back, and cheek scritches. They can be a little shy with strangers, but quickly bond to their humans! One you earn their trust, they`ll always want to be nearby and will let you know with a plaintive meow if they can`t find you. Sam and Dean love to play, sleep and snuggle together, but as formerly unneutered males, they were not fond of other cats! Now that they are neutered, intros to other cats may be easier, but should still be slow and thoughtful to reduce stress and set everyone up for success. If you have a calm home that can give these gentle boys the security they crave, reach out to CHS!
