Story
Hi everyone, I'm Olive and I can't wait to meet you!I'm a sweet gal, and I've been told quite unique, with my muted orange tabby colouring and freckles on my nose! I enjoy being pet, especially around my chin - that's my favourite! Whenever I'm happy, I will show it through making biscuits and my loud purrs. In my previous home, I was around a cat and a dog, so I may get along with other furry companions with a slow and proper introduction. It takes a bit of time for me to warm up in new situations, (introverts get it am I right?), but I love the attention once I'm comfortable. And when I'm not feeling my best, I will let you know with a quick meow that translates to "I need space please!". I am just on the tail end of an upper respiratory virus flare up, however I may get a bit sneezy or weepy in the future when stressed. I'm just healing from my spay now, but if you are interested in meeting me or adopting me, please fill out an application below! I can't wait! https://spca.bc.ca/survey/cat-adoption-application-cowichan/ Primary Color: Orange Tabby Weight: 3.42 Age: 4yrs 0mths 1wks

Oh hey! We are McNally (white and brown) and Dusty (grey) and we are a bonded duo looking to find a loving home to take both of us in! Have you ever wanted 2 cats but not deal with the lengthy cat introduction process?! Look no further! Once we have a chance to settle and get our bearings, we are a VERY affectionate bunch. We show our love by nudging people's legs, jumping up on your lap, and purring super loudly! In addition to nonstop pets, we LOVE being brushed and catnip! If you are looking to shed some pounds, we may make great work out companions as we are a bit rotund and in need to work off some of our winter weight. Whoops! We would love for a supportive human to help us on this weight loss journey - work out buddies unite! We are currently available as a foster-to-adopt, which means that you are able to foster us for a short period of time before adopting while we await a vet check up. If you are interested in us, please apply below! https://spca.bc.ca/survey/cat-adoption-application-cowichan/ Primary Color: Grey Secondary Color: White Weight: 7.27 Age: 5yrs 7mths 3wks

Story
Reuban is an 8-year-old handsome Siamese cat with a shy and nervous disposition. He's looking for a forever home with a patient and understanding paw-rent who can give him the time and space he needs to come out of his shell.Reuban is a bit wary of new people and environments, and it may take a few weeks for him to feel comfortable. During the first week, he may be still and silent, but with gentle pats, you'll see his enthusiasm grow. When Reuban feels at ease, he expresses his happiness by purring, flopping on his side, and rubbing his face against you.Reuban is currently awaiting dental surgery, but he's ready to go home in a foster-to-adopt arrangement. This means you'll need to bring him to his dental surgery appointment and a recheck appointment two weeks after. Please note that Reuban is not in a shelter and is unavailable for walk-in meet and greets. If you think you can provide the loving and patient home Reuban needs, follow the link below to start the process of adoption.https://spca.bc.ca/survey/cat-adoption-application-cowichan/ Primary Color: Seal Point Secondary Color: Black Weight: 5.9 Age: 8yrs 0mths 2wks

Meet Armani, a distinguished tuxedo cat with a name as fancy as his appearance. Armani came to us as a stray and is now adjusting to the new experiences of shelter life. This gentle soul is quite shy and needs a bit of time to come out of his shell. Armani would flourish with a patient and understanding paw-rent who can offer him the time and space he needs to feel safe and secure.Armani has previously lived with other cats and would likely do well with a confident feline friend who can help him build his confidence. Though he's nervous, Armani's gentle nature shines through. He would thrive in a home with safe outdoor access, such as a catio, where he can enjoy watching the birds and the world go by. If you're looking for a sweet, shy companion who needs a little extra love and patience, Armani could be the perfect addition to your family. To start the process of meeting Armani, follow the link below to submit your applicationhttps://spca.bc.ca/survey/cat-adoption-application-cowichan/ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 3.44 Age: 2yrs 0mths 2wks

Story
Are you looking for a kitty to hold you accountable when it comes to giving them the best, most exciting life ever?! Well then, Sasha may be your gal. Sasha is very social and affectionate with people she trusts. She absolutely loves resting on your lap or legs while watching TV and being given gentle pats on her head and neck. She doesn't like being held but will tolerate it for brief periods or for trimming her nails. We suspect she is part Siamese which accounts for beautiful big eyes, and the little bit of the CAT-itude. Like most Siamese, affection is on her terms. She connects with some people right away, and ignores/tolerates others. She has a VERY active mind and requires an enriching environment. She needs an owner who is dedicated to keeping her busy with new toys, puzzle games, clicker training, harness walking, or any new activity to keep her mind and body satisfied. Sasha even loves cat tv!! She is smart and can figure out treat puzzles quickly, so she is always looking for a new challenge. Sasha likes to be an active companion in your life and activities. She is very social with the people she loves, and wants to be engaged with whatever they're doing.Sasha is prone to anxiety and over stimulation so a calm environment is best for her. If she feels threatened she will stand her ground and hiss/swat while other cats would probably hide. Sasha enjoys being groomed, however it's imperative to watch her body language as she can get overstimulated and swat. For that reason, it is best for her to be in an adult only home.To help with anxiety and changes in her environment we've started her on an over the counter supplement called Zyklene which has been very effective in helping her to relax. It has made a notable difference (along with keeping her brain busy) in her behaviours and has lessened her decisions to swat. Sasha starts her mornings off with a gentle paw on her foster mom to wake her up. She gets some gentle pets and they start their day. She is a relatively quiet girl, usually only making her meows known around food time. The reason Sasha is in foster even though she is very healthy is because she does extremely poorly in a shelter environment. She is shut down, and completely terrified. Once she is in a calm home she comes out of her shell quickly and becomes a social and affectionate cat!All of this being said Sasha is a very loving kitty that will keep you on your toes, but her beauty and quirky personality is worth it. We know that in the right home, with a dedicated cat owner who is looking for a busy kitty, she will do great. Primary Color: Black Weight: 4.4 Age: 5yrs 8mths 1wks
