Story
Are you looking for a kitty to hold you accountable when it comes to giving them the best, most exciting life ever?! Well then, Sasha may be your gal. Sasha is very social and affectionate with people she trusts. She absolutely loves resting on your lap or legs while watching TV and being given gentle pats on her head and neck. She doesn't like being held but will tolerate it for brief periods or for trimming her nails. We suspect she is part Siamese which accounts for beautiful big eyes, and the little bit of the CAT-itude. Like most Siamese, affection is on her terms. She connects with some people right away, and ignores/tolerates others. She has a VERY active mind and requires an enriching environment. She needs an owner who is dedicated to keeping her busy with new toys, puzzle games, clicker training, harness walking, or any new activity to keep her mind and body satisfied. Sasha even loves cat tv!! She is smart and can figure out treat puzzles quickly, so she is always looking for a new challenge. Sasha likes to be an active companion in your life and activities. She is very social with the people she loves, and wants to be engaged with whatever they're doing.Sasha is prone to anxiety and over stimulation so a calm environment is best for her. If she feels threatened she will stand her ground and hiss/swat while other cats would probably hide. Sasha enjoys being groomed, however it's imperative to watch her body language as she can get overstimulated and swat. For that reason, it is best for her to be in an adult only home.To help with anxiety and changes in her environment we've started her on an over the counter supplement called Zyklene which has been very effective in helping her to relax. It has made a notable difference (along with keeping her brain busy) in her behaviours and has lessened her decisions to swat. Sasha starts her mornings off with a gentle paw on her foster mom to wake her up. She gets some gentle pets and they start their day. She is a relatively quiet girl, usually only making her meows known around food time. The reason Sasha is in foster even though she is very healthy is because she does extremely poorly in a shelter environment. She is shut down, and completely terrified. Once she is in a calm home she comes out of her shell quickly and becomes a social and affectionate cat!All of this being said Sasha is a very loving kitty that will keep you on your toes, but her beauty and quirky personality is worth it. We know that in the right home, with a dedicated cat owner who is looking for a busy kitty, she will do great. Primary Color: Black Weight: 4.4 Age: 5yrs 7mths 3wks

Story
Little Miss Lola is awaiting her very special home! This young lady is very active and vocal. She is not shy to show her emotions and will let you know how she's feeling always! She gets bored easily and would do well being indoor/outdoor or indoor with safe outdoor access. Lola would prefer to be an only child to get ALL the attention, as well as an adult oriented home. She has some sass to her and can get frustrated if she feels pent up. Lola can be over-stimulated easily here with us after too much handling or when she plays too hard and gets all worked up!Lola is a very friendly, purr fest hoping for an experienced owner that can give her space as needed and pamper her.If you are interesting in Lola please fill out the application online. She can't wait to meet you! Story
Macadamia is a bundle of puuurrrsonality. Macadamia was a young mom whose kittens have recently grown up and she is so ready to find her loving forever family to shower her with all the love fuurever! This little beauty is eager to focus building a stable, trusting and caring relationship with "her" people. Macadamia was found with her days old kittens outside in early Spring. This poor mom was doing her best but was struggling with a heavy flea infestation and malnutrition. She got brought into the shelter, cleaned up and went straight into a quiet foster home. Her first four weeks she was terrified in her new environment and very overwhelmed. As she started to settle in into her new space, she gained the confidence to show her hilarious personality. Macadamia is a talker, she talks with what her foster described as "grumbling". If you are sitting she loves to come and demand petting and will climb right into your lap, talking and purring to you the whole time. It did take awhile for our Macadamia to show this wonderful side of herself. She will need a home where people are willing to let her decompress and earn her trust. She does still struggle with people coming in through the door. She can be confident with "her" people but continues to find it difficult to give newer people grace and is easily startled with new situations/new people. She has been so good, attentive and protective with her babies- we are hopefully once she has her own home she won't feel the need to be so vigilant and can relax fully with her forever family. If you are ready to open your hearts- this mommy promises to give you a belated thank you with all the merps, grumblies and purring butt waggles post her decompression time. Could be fun! Story
Marshall is a senior boy who asks of very little from you! He is quite content just being in your presence while relaxing and doing his own cat things. Marshall really enjoys lounging - whether its on his favourite cat post, in a big cat bed, or out in his yard basking in the sunshine. He still has lots of energy to play, but for shorter periods of time, lounging is more his thing. Marshall has boundaries - he does not like to be picked up and only soaks up attention on his terms. He prefers to rub himself on you or perching himself close by when he is looking for love. Marshall CAN co exist with other cats, although prefers the space to himself and would not be suitable to a home with a dog or visiting dogs. An adult only home would also be preferred for Marshall. Story
Meet Horton - he wants to be someone's buddy. He's a good all around cat. Happy to snuggle, inquisitive, happy to play with and be groomed by our adult cat, happy to play rough with the kittens, happy to be picked up to snuggle. He's a little leery of our dog, but shows no aggression towards her. Horton is hoping to find a home with another animal to spend his life playing with. Please note we receive an influx of applications and cannot get back to everyone. Please put in ONE application with the names of who you are interested in. Thanks!
