Story
I was at the Camarillo shelter but Cassie’s Cats had room for me so now I get to live in their lounge. I hope my new person will find me here soon so I can get back to lounging on the sofa and sleeping with my person. I like to cuddle in laps and purr. I also like to be brushed. Please come meet me! Princess was surrendered to VCAS after her owner passed away and is an extremely affectionate kitty. Princess had corrective surgery for entropion – a condition where a cat’s eyelids roll inward and cause irritation. Thanks to the amazing work of the VCAS vet’s office, Princess’s eyes are now pain free and will continue to clear up! We had a full vet exam done including blood work and Princess is in good health. She had a dental cleaning on February 17th that included 3 tooth extractions. She healed well from that. She seems to do best with cats who can live and let live. She hisses at cats who get right into her space but does great living in parallel with other mellow cats. Since coming to Cassie’s Cats Princess has been receiving monthly Solensia injections at our vet’s office to help with arthritis pain. Any future adopter will need to be able and willing to continue these as needed for Princess’ well-being and we will add that as an addendum to her adoption agreement. Princess can sometimes be picky about her food and her adopter should be willing to keep a few wet foods on hand so that she always has something that appeals to her. Her adopter will also need to be willing to sit with Princess while she eats if that is what she needs. Sometimes she eats better when she has company. Our ideal adopter for her is someone who will let Princess lead the way – cuddle when she wants it, leave her be when she wants her space, feed her the foods she prefers, change up the food when necessary, take her to the vet for her monthly arthritis relief.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Playful, Curious, TalkativePlayful + Curious + Talkative Placido has become a super sweet boy with a big purr always ready. One of his favorite activities is wrestling with his brothers, and as young cats, the three of them have become typical, mischievous, "teenager" kitties, and are so much fun to watch and play with. Placido will follow around the resident cats in his foster home, demanding they snuggle with him, and if he wakes up alone will set out to find a friend while crying and calling out to them. If one of his favorite kitties happens to be in a lap, Placido will jump right up and snuggle in for a petting session of his own. We also recommend keeping loaves of bread and "bread-like items" put away as Placi has developed a love of all things carb!  It will take some time for Placido to adjust to a new home, but with patience and persistence he will be a wonderful addition to any family. Unless you have a friendly and cuddly kitty companion at home already for Placido, he will do best adopted with another kitty. If you'd like to meet Placido or any of our adoptable kittens, please submit an application today! _______________________________________________ All CCR cats and kittens receive their vaccinations, a microchip registered to the new owner, collar & tag, starter bag of food, and their sterilization. Story
I’m a big, active, energetic young guy who is looking for a home that can play with me and love me unconditionally! I wear a harness just fine and might be an excellent candidate for learning to be an adventure cat. While I need to be an indoor cat I would probably absolutely love a sturdy catio! At first, I was having a hard time making friends at the lounge because I come on very strong but with time I’ve made some good friends here! I especially love my friend Noah and want to be adopted with him. I might do ok with the right puppy or dog. I am super affectionate and love having human attention. NOTE: Dotty will need an understanding and experienced adopter. Leave a window or screen door open and he’ll get through the screen if he thinks he needs to be out with you. He will be upset if he sees other cats prowling around his home outside. He can jump straight up 6 feet! He’s strong and athletic and wants to be where the action is. He’s also one of the most loving cats of people that we have at the lounge. He adores attention and is a total lap cat. In the right home, he is going to be an amazing companion!!! We strongly prefer that he be adopted together with Noah based on the friendship we’ve watched them develop over the last 5-6 months. They are good together and for each other.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Toothless came to CCR from a citizen who couldn't keep him, and at only 7-weeks-old he was already missing his mama kitty. One of our fabulous fosters snatched him up and immediately started cuddling him and made him welcome in her furry family.  Toothless is a little on the shyer side, taking a little bit to warm up, but as you can see he is curious, playful, and loves snuggling. If you are interested in meeting Toothless or any of our adoptable kittens, submit an application today. _______________________________________________ All our cats and kittens receive their vaccinations, a microchip registered to the new owner, collar & tag, starter bag of food, and their sterilization. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cautious, goofy, playful & lovingSweet + Shy + Playful   Jace is bit more shy than the average 1-year old male kitty, but he loves treats, playing with his brothers, and belly rubs! Jace can be found right in the middle of all the kitties at treat time, and will chase a feather toy or ball like a pro. He equally loves wrestling and getting into mischief with his brothers! He is very sweet and may always be a bit timid, but if you go slow and let him sniff your hand first - we call this "getting consent"- Jace will let you rub his belly and scratch his cheeks, rewarding you with a HUGE purr! The secret trick his foster family has found is that Jace absolutely LOVES other kitties, and if there's another cat nearby he will accept all of your attention with the biggest purrs we've heard in a while! The perfect home for Jace will be a quiet, adult home either with an existing resident kitty that loves other cats, or to be adopted with one of his brothers or another friendly kitty. If you'd like to meet Jace or any of our adoptable kitties, please submit an application today! _______________________________________________ All CCR cats and kittens receive their vaccinations, a microchip registered to the new owner, collar & tag, starter bag of food, and their sterilization.
