Story
I was at the Camarillo shelter but Cassie’s Cats had room for me so now I get to live in their lounge. I hope my new person will find me here soon so I can get back to lounging on the sofa and sleeping with my person. I like to cuddle in laps and purr. I also like to be brushed. Please come meet me! Princess was surrendered to VCAS after her owner passed away and is an extremely affectionate kitty. Princess had corrective surgery for entropion – a condition where a cat’s eyelids roll inward and cause irritation. Thanks to the amazing work of the VCAS vet’s office, Princess’s eyes are now pain free and will continue to clear up! We had a full vet exam done including blood work and Princess is in good health. She had a dental cleaning on February 17th that included 3 tooth extractions. She healed well from that. She seems to do best with cats who can live and let live. She hisses at cats who get right into her space but does great living in parallel with other mellow cats. Since coming to Cassie’s Cats Princess has been receiving monthly Solensia injections at our vet’s office to help with arthritis pain. Any future adopter will need to be able and willing to continue these as needed for Princess’ well-being and we will add that as an addendum to her adoption agreement. Princess can sometimes be picky about her food and her adopter should be willing to keep a few wet foods on hand so that she always has something that appeals to her. Her adopter will also need to be willing to sit with Princess while she eats if that is what she needs. Sometimes she eats better when she has company. Our ideal adopter for her is someone who will let Princess lead the way – cuddle when she wants it, leave her be when she wants her space, feed her the foods she prefers, change up the food when necessary, take her to the vet for her monthly arthritis relief.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Placido can be a shy and quiet boy when he's in an unfamiliar place like the adoption, however in his foster home, Placido has become a super sweet boy with a big purr always ready. One of his favorite activities is wrestling with his brothers, and at just under a year old, the three of them have become typical, mischievous, "teenager" kitties, and are so much fun to watch and play with. Placido will follow around the resident cats in his foster home, demanding they snuggle with him, and if he wakes up alone will set out to find a friend while crying and calling out to them. If one of his favorite kitties happens to be in a lap, Placido will jump right up and snuggle in for a petting session of his own. It will take some time for Placido to adjust to a new home, but with patience and persistence he will be a wonderful addition to any family. Unless you have a friendly and cuddly kitty companion at home already for Placido, he will do best adopted with another kitty. If you'd like to meet Placido or any of our adoptable kittens, please submit an application today! _______________________________________________ All CCR cats and kittens receive their vaccinations, a microchip registered to the new owner, collar & tag, starter bag of food, and their sterilization. In addition, we test for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV).  All of our animals are 8 weeks or older when they are shown for adoptions, all of our felines must be spayed /neutered before we place them in new homes and they must be 8 weeks old and 2 pounds to have their surgeries.  If you have any questions, please email CatsCradleRescueCA@gmail.com.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Cats Cradle Rescue animals are spayed or neutered and have received at least one vaccination before they are placed up for adoption; however, kittens receive two vaccinations.  Each animal lives in a foster home as part of the family. Cats Cradle Rescue requires an adoption application and contract with each animal.  Our adoption fee covers Feline Leukemia and Feline Immuno Virus testing, first year's shots, spay/neuter and microchip.  We also send you home with a collar, CCR tag and starter food.          April 27, 2024, 2:41 am

Story
I’m a big, active, energetic young guy who is looking for a home that can play with me and love me unconditionally! I wear a harness just fine and might be an excellent candidate for learning to be an adventure cat. While I need to be an indoor cat I would probably absolutely love a sturdy catio! At first, I was having a hard time making friends at the lounge because I come on very strong but with time I’ve made some good friends here! My closest friends are Sassy and Noah, and I’m learning to get along with almost everyone. It took about 4 months for me to really get close with my buddies here. I especially love my friend Noah and want to be adopted with him. I do best when cats are younger than me and act like they want to play with me. I don’t get along with cats who are older or act like they don’t like me – then I try to chase them and not in a playful way. I haven’t made friends with any female cats so far. I might do ok with the right puppy or dog but the volunteers here aren’t 100% sure on that. (I lived with an elderly dog in my first home.) I am super affectionate and love having human attention. NOTE: Dotty will need an understanding adopter. He may not be good around young children and definitely needs an active and conscientious home. Leave a window or screen door open and he’ll get through the screen if he thinks he needs to be out with you. He will be upset if he sees other cats prowling around his home outside. He can jump straight up 6 feet! He’s strong, athletic, and just wants to be where the action is. He’s also one of the most loving cats of people that we have at the lounge. He adores attention and is a total lap cat. In the right home, he is going to be an amazing companion!!! We would strongly prefer that he be adopted together with Noah based on the friendship we’ve watched them develop over the last 5-6 months.

One of our fabulous fosters snatched him up and immediately started cuddling him and made him welcome in her furry family.  Toothless is a little on the shyer side, taking a little bit to warm up, but as you can see he is curious, playful, and loves snuggling. Story
Hey there, I'm Checkers! You might not notice me right away because I tend to be a little shy, but once you get to know me, you'll find I'm a sweet and loving feline looking for a forever home.Life in the catio with my furry friends has been pretty great. I'm quite content sharing space with other free-roaming cats, enjoying the sunshine and fresh air. Though I might hang back at first, once I get comfortable, I do enjoy gentle pets and soft, reassuring words. I appreciate patience and a calm environment where I can slowly come out of my shell.Being around other cats has taught me a lot about trust and companionship. I've learned to be observant and cautious but also that love and care from humans can be incredibly rewarding. What I'm really hoping for is a loving family who understands that I need a bit of time to adjust and feel secure. I promise that with a little patience and a lot of love, I'll become your loyal companion. I dream of a cozy spot in a quiet home where I can curl up and enjoy some quality time with my new human friends.Oh, and there's one more thing you should know about me - I may only have three legs, but that doesn't slow me down one bit! I've adapted well and can still do everything a four-legged cat can do.If you're looking for a sweet, gentle cat like me to join your family, please consider giving me a chance. I may be a bit shy, but I have a whole lot of love to give once I feel safe and settled. Let's make a connection that lasts a lifetime!

Story
Meow! Hey there, I'm Saffron, and I'm here to tell you all about myself from my own furry perspective. So, let's dive in!First things first, you might notice that I have a little something called Cerebellar Hypoplasia, or as I like to call it, "wobbly kitten syndrome." But don't let that worry you-I may have a unique way of getting around, but I'm as happy and playful as can be! I've learned to adapt to my wobbles, and I can assure you that they don't slow me down one bit. Now, let's talk about my favorite things: playing and cuddling! I absolutely adore romping around with other cats and humans alike. Whether it's chasing after toys or snuggling up for a cozy nap, I'm always up for a good time. And let me tell you, I've got quite the purr-sonality! I'm full of charm and charisma, and I never fail to bring a smile to the faces of those around me.Despite my wobbles, I'm a super sweet boy with a heart of gold. I love nothing more than showering my friends with affection and making them feel loved and appreciated. Whether you're a fellow feline or a human looking for a furry companion, I promise to fill your life with endless joy and laughter. So, if you're in search of a playful and cuddly cat with a heart as big as the sky, look no further than me, Saffron. I may have a few quirks, but I guarantee that I'll steal your heart from the moment we meet. Let's embark on this journey together and make some unforgettable memories along the way!

Story
Mimi is a very sweet and timid cat. She has asthma, which is easily treated with prednisolone. Once she warms up to someone, she loves them immensely, and absolutely loves to be a part of multi-person snuggles. She is a barn cat at heart and so is perfectly fine with being on her own, and easily tolerates other cats and even big dogs. She is very intelligent and if needed will communicate to you her concerns through little beeps. She likes to play with mouse toys, but is smart enough to consider laser pointers beneath her. Her favorite place to be pet is gently on the head, cheeks, and behind the ears. Her favorite activity is curling up on top of you on cold nights; if you are warm, you are her favorite heated blanket.

Story
Sadie is about 4 years old and was found at a rental property that my parents own. Her owner’s experienced some hardship and unfortunately could not care for her. I took her in and have fallen in love with her. However, she does not get a long with my senior dogs (13 and 15 years old) and has been displaying stressed behaviors. I believe she would do best in a home without dogs. She does do great with other cats though. She has no health problems (I have all of her vet records) and I can take her to the vet to do a check up before she goes to her new forever home. I will send you all of the paperwork that I have had for her 😊
