Story
Raya's story in her own words!  My name is Raya, and I may be a bit shy at first, but I have a heart of gold waiting to find my forever home. I'm still learning to trust humans and while I prefer to keep my distance, I don't mind a gentle pet now and then. My favorite things in the world are Churu treats and playing with wand toys — I'm a skilled toy hunter if I do say so myself!  My superpower is patience; I rarely get flustered even when my energetic daughter Chiquita is causing chaos around me. I'm a calm presence in the midst of all the action. One of my foster's favorite memories of me is how I would stand up to receive a Churu treat, thinking I was being sneaky by not fully exposing myself from behind the sink. I've been living with my daughter Chiquita, and while I'm not sure if we're truly bonded, we do get along well and make good companions. Right now, I prefer a quiet household where I can continue to build my confidence at my own pace. I'm not quite ready for children or other animals in the home, but who knows what the future holds for me? If you're looking for a patient feline friend who enjoys quiet moments and the thrill of the hunt, I just might be the perfect match for you. Let's take things slow and see if we can build a trusting friendship together. Come meet me today and let's see if we're meant to be family! Story
Rainbow Dash! He is a handsome boy with big, sweet eyes and an extra long tail! Rainbow Dash has made so many strides in the short time he's been with his foster. While this guy was understandably frightened and confused being abandoned outside a Petsmart, he very quickly started to decompress in his new foster home and show his sweet, loving personality. He now purrs and rubs his face all over his humans, stretching his long back legs and hanging out on his favorite pillow! He has also shown his fun, playful side, rolling around on the floor with a catnap kicker toy and jumping up to chase a wand toy! He's a very powerful jumper!  He'll even sometimes stand up on his hind legs on his foster mom's lap and do head bops!!! While this boy enjoys pets and scratches, he prefers them on his head or chin as he gets easily stimulated with too much petting all over his body. He will certainly need some time, patience and trust to feel comfortable in a new home, but when he does, he'll be a wonderful furry companion! Because Rainbow Dash seems sensitive to loud noises or sudden movements, he would do best in a quiet, low key, adults-only environment. He loves people, but wants attention and loving on his own terms. He would likely do best with a feline friend - or two! - that he can play and wrestle with to get out his energy. In his foster home, he has done great being a foster dad to kittens. Despite the size difference, he is great at finding the middle group of gently play wrestling with kittens! He may need a cat savvy adopter, but he is certainly a cat savvy cat.   Apply at online application (catsfff.org/adopt) View all of our adoptable cats here (catsfff.org/cats) Our adoption fees are listed here (catsfff.org/adoption-fees) ##1701090##

Meet Charlotte – A Strong, Resilient Beauty Ready for Her Forever Home! Charlotte is a brave and beautiful torbie cat with striking yellow-green eyes and a heart full of quiet love. Torbie cats have both tortie coloring and tabby patterns, which makes them extra unique! This sweet young kitty has spent the last few months being an amazing and devoted mama to her kittens, but now it’s her turn to find a home where she can finally relax, be spoiled, and enjoy life to the fullest! Charlotte is a true survivor—she spent years navigating the tough streets of Chicago, relying on her sharp instincts to stay safe. Because of her past, she may take a little time to warm up to new people, but once she trusts you, you’ll get to see her sweet and gentle side. She enjoys being near her people, accepting pets on her own terms, and simply soaking in the comfort of a safe home. She may not be a lap cat, but she expresses love in her own quiet way. She gets along well with other cats and small dogs, making her a great fit for a multi-pet household. This independent girl loves her alone time, but she also enjoys simple pleasures like lounging by the window to sunbathe, watching fish swim in an aquarium, or curling up in a cozy cardboard box. She occasionally likes to play and will bat around small toys, but mostly she likes to just relax…and we think she’s earned it! Charlotte is looking for a patient and understanding home that will give her the space and time she needs to blossom at her own pace. If you appreciate the quiet, independent love of a cat who has seen the world and is now ready to settle down in a loving home, Charlotte might just be the perfect feline companion for you. Can you give her the loving forever home she craves? Story
Tortellini is the life of the party! This energetic, playful, and goofy young boy is bursting with personality. Tortellini loves toys of all kinds — laser pointers, wands, crinkly balls, and especially anything he can get his paws on (including his foster mom’s necklaces!). He’s creative in his play and always coming up with new ways to entertain himself and his people. Tortellini would thrive in a busy, active home where there’s plenty going on to keep his smart little mind engaged. He’s friendly with people and other cats, but because he can play a little roughly sometimes, he would do best with older kids who can keep up with his playful energy. Like his brothers, he needs to be in a home with another playful cat to wrestle and snuggle with — or better yet, adopted with one or both of his brothers. Tortellini is affectionate and loves being pet and getting attention. His goofy antics, love of fun, and affectionate nature will bring endless laughter and love to his forever home! Story
Fushia is a playful young lady who balances her playful spirit with a gentle charm. She loves nothing more than curling up in warm sunny spots with her momma and siblings. While Fushia enjoys her independence, she’s happy to soak up her daily dose of kisses and cuddles. There is something peaceful about the way Fushia explores the world around her, quietly taking it all in before joining the fun. Playtime is one of Fushia’s favorite times of the day. You’ll find her chasing ribbons, battling sparkle balls, and wrestling with her siblings. These moments reveal her silly enthusiasm and builds her confidence with her curious side. Fushia has been well-socialized and is comfortable around people and other pets. With patience and gentle encouragement, she quickly warms up and shows off her sweet, loving personality. To help her feel secure and happy, she must be adopted with one of her siblings, Navy or Lavender, or her momma, Purple who she can share the cozy comfort of family with in her new home. Story
All Purrs, All Day — Lasagna Is Ready for Love! With her sleek black fur and mesmerizing eyes, Lasagna looks like a tiny panther, but don’t let that fool you! Beneath that elegant exterior is a friendly, affectionate kitten who adores attention. With just one gentle pet on her head, her purr motor starts up, and she’s ready for cuddles. Sometimes she’ll climb into your lap or perch on your shoulder for a little “massage,” making biscuits and snuggling into your neck like she’s giving you a hug. Lasagna’s playful side shines just as brightly. Her inner panther comes alive during toy spring chases, nightly zoomie tournaments with her sister Macaroni, and those sudden, joyful bursts of pouncing that kittens do best. She’s especially devoted to her sister and best friend, Macaroni. These two are perfectly matched in energy and personality; watching them play together is pure entertainment. We strongly recommend they be adopted as a pair. If that’s not possible, Lasagna will need another playful, active young cat in her future home to keep up with her kitten energy and curiosity. Lasagna doesn’t mind a lively household as long as she has a cozy spot for nap time. A tall cat tree would be her dream perch! She’s comfortable around other cats, cat-friendly dogs, and teens. She’d do best in a home with adults or older kids who can read her play cues. Lasagna’s still learning the difference between toes and toys, but she’s making excellent progress! If you’re looking for a friendly, hilarious, and endlessly entertaining kitten who will fill your home with love (and purrs), Lasagna just might be your purrfect match. Story
It’s okay to eat a cherry around these little ghosts! Inky (gray tabby) and Pinky (apricot tabby) are two adorable and rambunctious kittens. They are sweet playful and affectionate and would be a great furry addition to any home. They are very used to people and being held and will grow up to be highly tolerant and people-loving cats. They grew up around other cats and are perfectly okay with getting along with other tolerant cats. These two Lovies will play together all day long and then settle down into a snuggle nap. They would love to be adopted together as they are besties and bonded but might be able to thrive on their own as well in the right household with a lot of interaction with their people These kittens want to be part of the family. They are both in great health and come from a long line of loved and cherished foster kittens. It’ll never be game over with these two sweethearts when you decide to take them home! Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt kittens in pairs, or into a home with a compatible playful cat. Kittens really need a feline playmate in their forever home…and then they can get to play, and snuggle while you're not home, wrestle with each other instead of with your ankles, and grow up with an always-available companion. Bored cats can become destructive cats. If you are only interested in adopting a single kitten, and you’re home most of the day, and able to spend interactive time with a kitten, we may consider adopting out a single kitten. We usually prefer that they be 4 months or older. But each application will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Many of our kitten litters may also be able to be mixed ‘n matched to make a pair if they are not particularly bonded with a sibling. Each foster home knows the kittens' personalities best, and we follow their recommendations for single placements or mix/matching. Inky and Pinky's estimated date of birth is 4/27/25, and their adoption fee of $195 each includes: vet exam, Feleuk/FIV test, FVRCP (distemper combo) vaccinations, routine dewormings, flea control, microchip and spay/neuter.

Story
Hi, I'm Gershwin, a handsome young fellow about 3 and a half years old. I was rescued from the outdoors and taken into this really nice lady's home where I have lived for the last year. I really love her, and she loves me, but I just can't seem to get used to sharing the home with her other cats. I'm more of a one-on-one type of guy. Lately I've been kept separated from everyone, and it's really not the kind of life that's good for me. I need a person who's looking for a one-on-one relationship where I can be the king of the castle. I am a VERY smart cat, I know my name & understand what my human says to me! If she leaves an open can of cat food on the counter (with a plastic lid on), I know how to open it! I'm very active, lots of energy…like to play & run a lot (inside only of course). I love to be brushed & always use my litter box. If you're looking for only one cat to be your loyal companion, I'm your guy. Come meet me! I know we can make beautiful music together. Gershwin's adoption fee of $120 includes vet exam, Feleuk/FIV test, rabies vaccination, FVRCP (distemper combo) vaccination, deworming, microchip and neuter.

Story
Meet Mia, a gorgeous little girl with a silky black coat which she keeps beautifully groomed. Mia is not only beautiful on the outside, her beauty lives inside as well. Mia is a super sweet girl who loves to give and receive attention. Mia is exceptionally smart, having learned her name in just one day. Mia has very good recall for a young kitten, her foster mom can call her to dinner by just calling her name. The first time Mia’s foster mom showed Mia a phone app for cats, she was able to learn the game almost immediately. She was a high scorer tapping the mice from the phone app! Mia is very curious and thrives on adventure. While Mia can be very playful with her humans and siblings, she also possesses an independent streak and is quite comfortable exploring on her own. Story
This is Splashy, so named because her rescuer thought that her markings looked like she had paint splashed on her! She's totally adorable but still somewhat timid. Her foster mom is able to pick her up and hold her close and pet her. No purring yet. We just think she needs more time. Or, some cats just aren't big purrers. Splashy is very bonded with her friendly brother Mr. Whiskers and having him around is teaching her to be more confident. They would ideally like to be adopted together. April of Pandemic 2029, I found Sophie in my yard as she’d been laying in grass several times. Coaxed her in with food, she was young cat, domesticated, no collar, no chip, I posted everywhere to ask if it was anyone’s. Nada. I was going to take her to shelter, but a week later, saw she was pregnant, so I kept her to help her thru it. She had 1 still born and 1 alive ( tuxedo cat) I kept them.

Story
Sweet Rosette found herself surrendered to a local animal shelter this summer through no fault of her own and while we may never know her past, one thing was clear: this sweet girl deserved a brighter future! Thankfully, Forever Fortunate Felines stepped in to give her that second chance. Within minutes of arriving at her foster home, she was snuggled up on her foster’s chest, purring loudly and soaking up every bit of love she could get. Rosette has done well around a well-mannered 40-pound dog, and has been slowly learning to accept other cats. She may do fine with a calm, non-reactive cat, and will need a slow introduction. She hasn’t met children yet, but her gentle, affectionate nature suggests she’d do wonderfully in a family setting. Rosette does have a sensitive stomach and will need to stay on a prescription “selected protein” diet, which keeps her feeling her best. With her stomach issues resolved, Rosette is now all about lap time, cuddles, and playful squirming as she tries to get as close to you as possible. Rosette is an affectionate and resilient companion. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal, and endlessly cuddly companion, Rosette is ready to fill your home (and your lap) with love.
