Story
Meet Daisy, a charming 2-year-old cat ready to fill your home with affection and playful energy! This loving girl enjoys nothing more than cuddles and attention, making her the perfect companion for cozy nights in. Daisy has a medium energy level, enjoying a balance of playtime and relaxation. Her favorite activities include chasing spring toys, batting at wand toys, and pouncing on the elusive laser pointer. After a fun play session, she loves lounging and being pet. Daisy also enjoys stepping outside for a bit in the garden. While she's generally relaxed, she does have her occasional zoomies! Daisy can be a bit vocal and is known for giving the occasional "stink eye," but her facial expressions are always entertaining. She's been around other cats and children but hasn't been exposed to dogs. She would do best in a home with moderate activity where she can be the center of attention. Ready to welcome this affectionate feline into your life? Please consider visiting shelbycats.com/adopt to begin the application process!

Story
Adoption Fee Reduced for December! Say hello to Buddy! Easygoing and Friendly are two words that perfectly describe him. Back in 2019, Buddy was fostered by his current foster mom. He was surrendered back to AOSC through no fault of his own and was adopted. No fault of his own was surrendered a second time in 2024-- he would love to find his FUREVER home. Buddy has a luxating patella, and it is causing arthritis in his knee. He has been responding well to Solensia shots, but that is an ongoing expense prospective adopters should be aware of. His foster mom has this to say about him: "Before coming back to me as a foster, Buddy was up for adoption at an adoption center, but was terrified at that particular adoption location. As soon as I brought him home, he has been nothing but sweet and affectionate! It has been fun fostering a previous foster of mine! Buddy loves human attention and loves to rub against your legs and be petted. He wants to be wherever YOU are! His foster home has 2 adult cats and he gets along with them very well. His last home he also got along with the other adult cat in the home. Buddy is curious and loves to sit and stare out the window. He LOVES Catnip and his favorite treats are Catnip Temptations! As a matter of fact, his favorite toys are filled with Catnip too! Buddy is a Good-Natured fellow who prefers to keep his space clean, including no bad litter box habits. This Handsome, Affectionate boy will be a great addition to a new family, and hopefully find the forever family that he deserves! Buddy is currently in a foster home. If you feel like he would be the perfect fit for your family, please consider visiting shelbycats.com/adopt to begin the application process!

Story
Meet Charlie, an easygoing 6-month-old kitten with the perfect balance of playfulness and independence! This sweet boy has a medium energy level, making him an ideal companion for a home with moderate activity. Charlie was fostered alongside other cats, including his two brothers Ollie and Felix, so he's well-socialized and would thrive in a multi-cat household. Charlie's favorite pastime? Chasing his beloved worm-on-a-stick toy with enthusiastic pounces and playful swats! While he loves engaging in interactive games and snuggling close to his favorite humans, he also appreciates having his own space to relax and observe the world around him. His foster mom describes him as wonderfully easygoing—a laid-back guy who adapts well to new situations and gets along beautifully with other felines. If you're looking for a friendly, balanced kitten who will bring joy without demanding constant attention, Charlie is your perfect match! He's ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and plenty of entertaining antics. Please consider visiting shelbycats.com/adopt to begin the application process!

Story
🐱 Meet Ma'am! Sweet, gentle Ma'am is a one-year-old wallflower searching for her perfect forever home. This shy beauty has a calm, low-energy personality and takes life at her own peaceful pace. While she's currently wary of pets and human touch, Ma'am has so much love to give once she feels safe and secure. Ma'am would thrive best in a tranquil home with patient humans who understand that trust is a journey, not a destination. She'd especially love the company of other easygoing cats who can show her the ropes and help boost her confidence. Her ideal family will give her the time and space she needs to blossom into the loving companion she's meant to be. Ready to give Ma'am the patient love she deserves?
