Story
Gronkle is a big boy who enjoys playing with feather wands, strings, and other toys. He will settle in for some gentle pets and lap time as well. He likes to roughhouse and can be dominant when playing with other cats. He likely would do fine with non-aggressive dogs with proper introduction. Gronkle has tested positive for FIV.FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) is a widely misunderstood condition. Many people think that it's easily spread, makes cats very sick, and that they have a lower life expectancy, so they are not often adopted. This is far from the truth!Should you adopt an FIV cat? Absolutely! Learn more about why YOU should adopt a cat with FIV: https://iheartcats.com/5-reasons-to-consider-adopting-an-fiv-cat/

Story
Cleo is a playful girl who is very shy in new situations. She does not mind being held some and enjoys pets, especially under the chin - but she may give gentle love bites as you pet her. She really does enjoy to play, and that is how you will likely be able to bond with her and get her to come out of her shell. She also enjoys treats. Cleo needs a patient and loving adopted willing to work with her to let her shine.

Story
Meet Susie! After being in our cat sanctuary for 2 years, this sweet girl was lucky enough to score a foster home! Here is what her foster mom had to say: Turns out she is not shy after all when she is one-on-one and is quite an outgoing and funny attention hog instead! Susie is a very sweet and always uses her litter box. She is (clearly) a good eater (ha). She gets along well with our cats (male and female). She LOVES humans - men and women and all ages. She does not love being picked up or carried but will tolerate it for short periods of time if needed - like to move her if necessary. She does love sitting next to people, cuddling in bed (she purrs all night even when sleeping), and constantly seeks human attention. She likes to sleep on my desk by my laptop while I work. She is very affectionate and likes to always be close by. She is wonderful! Not to mention - stunningly beautiful! I have never seen a cat that purrs as much as she does. Susie will fit in nicely to most homes and will adjust quickly with one important caveat. She truly hates dogs and will need a canine free home.

Story
We adopted Viola from a shelter in 2017. She was about a year old at the time, but her birthday is unknown. She was a stray before coming to the shelter. She is a sweet soul and (surprisingly) quite the licker. She gives “kisses” any opportunity she gets. She also loves curling up on her owners’ chests for snuggles, sleeping in sun spots, and lying in baskets filled with blankets. She is afraid of dogs and is often is skittish around new people. She has been very patient with our daughter, who is nearly 3. She has IBS, and her symptoms have been progressing. It is not uncommon for her to vomit and defecate outside the litter box multiple times a week. She is on prescription food, steroids, and antibiotics as needed. It breaks my heart to consider rehoming her, but I feel that there may someone who could better care for her. We plan to have another baby in the next year and unfortunately I will not be able to continue cleaning up the messes while pregnant or with a newborn.

Story
It is with great sorrow that I must re-home my 10 year old cat Cookie. My fiance is highly allergic to cats to which medication cannot correct. She is a sweet cat albeit a loner. She prefers to be by herself as a pet but has gotten along fine with a Maltese dog. She is not a cuddler but does enjoy resting across my leg in the recliner. Cookie has recently had her shots. I will provide an automated feeder and litter box. She eats Science Diet for senior indoor cat kibble throughout the day but never very much. I also give her one small can of Purina Pro Plan for Sensitive Skin and Stomach each afternoon. I put her on this food as she was pulling her hair previously. That stopped and she has been back to a beautiful coat for several years now.
