Story
So, you're thinking about adopting a Sundae the shy, cuddly, fat cat? Well, let me give you a few reasons why this could be the best decision you'll ever make! 1. Built-in pillow: Forget about buying an expensive memory foam pillow. With a chubby cat, you'll have a living, breathing, purring pillow right at your disposal. It's like having your very own sleep therapist, complete with extra fluffiness. 2. Warming station: Do you always get cold feet? Well, worry no more! A pudgy cat is the ultimate foot warmer. Just imagine those cozy moments with your frosty toes snuggled up against your feline friend's ample belly. 3. Scare away burglars: Sure, a small lapdog might bark at strangers, but a hefty cat? That's next-level security. Potential intruders won't be able to take a silent step without waking up your bed-hogging, snoozing furball. That'll teach them to mess with your household - and your snacks! Remember, adopting any cat is a wonderful act of kindness, but a shy, cuddly, fat cat? That's like having your own fluffy, snuggly best friend! Her adoption includes spay, shots (rabies, 4in1, FeLv), booster shots of 4in1 and FeLv, microchip, FIV/FeLv testing (negative on both), and deworming.

Story
Hello, I'm Pizza, a curious feline who loves exploring every nook and cranny. I've got a brave spirit that makes me unafraid of new things, and my independence means I'm perfectly happy amusing myself. But don't let that fool you, I can be quite the goofball when the mood strikes! I'm FIV positive, but that doesn't slow me down one bit. Adopt me and let's start our exciting journey together. She is FIV+, healthy, and may be housed safely with non-FIV cats with proper introductions. FIV information: https://www.fivcatrescue.org/fiv-what-is-fiv/ Adoption includes spay/neuter, shots (rabies, 4in1, FeLv), booster shots of 4in1 and FeLv, microchip, FIV/FeLv testing (negative on felv/positive on fiv), and deworming.

Meet Shy-Anne! Shy was surrendered through no fault of her own. She was orphaned when her owner passed away and she was left alone in the house for a while before family members realized her reclusive owner had cats. She has been with her foster for a couple months before she has settled in and now sleeps with them at night and has been very affectionate. She is a perfect house panther and void. Shy is FeLv/FIV negative, up to date on vaccines, including rabies, microchipped and spayed.

Story
Hi there, I'm Turbo, the American Gladiator of the feline world. I'm a sweet, goofy, and playful kitten. I once tried to prove my independence by challenging a vacuum cleaner to a duel. Big mistake. It was a funny sight, me darting around, the vacuum chasing me. I'm a bit shy, but once I warm up to you, I'm as loyal and gentle as they come. My curiosity may have gotten me into a pickle before, but it also makes me a mellow and friendly companion. Adopt me, and I promise to keep your life full of laughter and love. Adoption includes spay/neuter, shots (rabies, 4in1, FeLv), booster shots of 4in1 and FeLv, microchip, FIV/FeLv testing (negative on both), and deworming.

Story
Meet Mamacita! She will need an experienced adopter. She was a stray for a year when she was young and lost most of both of her ears to frostbite. She uses the litterbox and uses cat furniture or a scratching pad to sharpen her claws. She will need a vet check before going home to update her shots. She will need a very patient home because it takes a long time for her to trust strangers.

Story
We adopted Viola from a shelter in 2017. She was about a year old at the time, but her birthday is unknown. She was a stray before coming to the shelter. She is a sweet soul and (surprisingly) quite the licker. She gives “kisses” any opportunity she gets. She also loves curling up on her owners’ chests for snuggles, sleeping in sun spots, and lying in baskets filled with blankets. She is afraid of dogs and is often is skittish around new people. She has been very patient with our daughter, who is nearly 3. She has IBS, and her symptoms have been progressing. It is not uncommon for her to vomit and defecate outside the litter box multiple times a week. She is on prescription food, steroids, and antibiotics as needed. It breaks my heart to consider rehoming her, but I feel that there may someone who could better care for her. We plan to have another baby in the next year and unfortunately I will not be able to continue cleaning up the messes while pregnant or with a newborn.

If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please visit our website, for details about our fees and process, and to complete our Adoption Application.   ARPO limits adoptions to within 50 miles of Indianapolis.  We do not have a shelter; all pets are in volunteer foster homes.  Enjoys snuggling and birdwatching!Do you have a heart for special needs kitties? I’m Marin (also known as “baby” since I was the smallest of my siblings) and was born around 3/22/2022.  I have a heart murmur and have had a couple of allergy flare up.  We don’t know exactly what causes my allergies however when I have a flair up I’ve taken Prednisolone has resolved it when needed. My heart murmur just gets monitored so nothing is needed at this time for it.  I’m so excited that I no longer have to eat a prescription diet which I was trying to see if my allergies were food related.  If you met me you would not know I have periodic allergies or a heart murmur.  I’m a sweet boy who enjoys a good snuggle and bird watching from the window!  My best friend and brother is Nox. If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please complete the online Adoption Application.  If you would like to donate to this pet's care, please click here.
