Story
Meet Cheddar! Cheddar was abandoned in a hotel room in May of 2022, despite multiple attempts to reach the people who left him, the hotel was never able to get in contact with them, and he has been in our care ever since. Cheddar would much prefer to be a solo cat but he does tolerate the other kitties here at TKW, he is very affectionate, sometimes moody, and quite lazy. His favorite pass-times are bird watching, napping in laundry baskets, and getting head kisses.

He loves his brother but is very particular about the humans he wants affection from. He is not only gorgeous, but also extremely soft with a very cute squeaky meow.

Story
Summer is a shy, sweet girl who takes a while to warm up to people. She was trapped with her siblings in 2021 and has been with us ever since, with one failed adoption before she was a year old. Her shy nature has made it hard for her to get adopted, but she is very sweet and loves attention and cuddles. Her adopter needs to be someone who is patient and willing to work on her terms. Despite her shyness, Summer is a playful and goofy girl with a big personality once she warms up to you, she loves to play with her plastic spring toys and often walks around the house carrying one and meowing. She has a lot of love to give for a person patient enough to work with her.

Story
Background: Mosaic was a outdoor feral cat at a relatives house, once we relocated to Kentucky in 2020, we got to helping with TNR for this relatives outdoor cats. Unfortunately, Mosaic gave birth to her first litter of kittens prematurely at just 7 months old, three days before her spay appointment, where she promptly rejected them, and we were unable to save them. Since then she was been an indoor cat, and she has slowly opened up to where we no longer consider her feral, and just shy or semi-feral. Bio: Mosaic is sweet but very timid, if you can get her to come to you for attention, she will purr and roll around as you pet her, however she does not like to be approached. She's a great conversationalist and loves to talk to you, and if you're lucky she'll hop up on the couch and lay next to you at a respectful distance. i believe given time, she may become more friendly, however it isn't something i would count on. Her and Summer get along great, and i believe they would be a great match given their similar personalities. She is not good with dogs, but does like other cats. Visual Description and Medical Info: Mosaic is a white cat with a dilute calico tail, she has a heart tattoo in her ear from being spayed at Nelson County Humane society on 6/2/2020, she needs her shots updated and this will be done before any adoption. We have not wanted to stress her with the vet visit however it it more than past time. Her estimated Birthday is 11/28/2019.

Story
Meet Pumpkin! Described as the himbo of the cat world, dumb as a box of rocks, and stubborn as they come; Pumpkin was originally completely feral, believe it or not. He was TNR'ed in 2021 along with his mom and siblings, and slowly started to warm up to us in December 2023, well, actually it was quite sudden. One day he was running away at the sight of me, next he was purring and covering me in drool, did i mention he's a drooler? He's mostly got it under control now, but it used to be a real problem. In January of 2025 right before we got a big freeze, we finally pulled him inside, he's spent the last 4 months getting used to indoor life, discovering the joy of being a lap cat, begging for human food, covering everything i own in drool, and snuggling in bed with people he loves and trusts. He has truly blossomed into a whole new cat. Because this has been a big adjustment for him, Pumpkin does not yet have updated vaccines, should anyone be interested in adopting the large (no seriously he's 11 and a half pounds, dude is ginormous, not like overweight big, just a large cat.) boy, then obviously we would make getting those updated more of a priority, as of now, indoor living is still pretty new, so we're starting with carrier training and nail trims before vet visits! Some of his favorite activities are: weaving in between your legs making it very difficult to walk, shoving his way into your lap regardless of if you want him there or not, weighing down the blanket at night and being a bed hog, and, recently, chasing toy springs around the house. All silliness aside, Pumpkin is truly a great cat, he's a big ol teddy bear of a cat and i could see him being a great addition to any home.
