Taz is a very sweet & pretty cat I found at a local Midas shop. She can be shy at first but loves attention as well as her fish & heart toys. You can pick her up & hold her close for a good while before she will “ask” to be put down. Rowdy young kids can make her a bit nervous but she has not really had close contact with them for long so she very well might be able to adjust to them. She makes cat & dog friends once she gets to know them if they are friendly & not too rambunctious.

Paws is very sweet brown tabby with very cute white paws who likes to cuddle (see 2nd picture) once he’s ready to rest. He also has a lot of energy like some young cats do. I found Paws when he was very tiny (see 3rd picture) at an O’Reilly’s where I feed other cats. He ran right up to me to be rescued. Paws enjoys playing & also loves to eat. He would probably do best in a home where someone has time to play with him/tire him out & he has plenty of toys to keep him busy. Paws has made cat friends when gradually introduced & then they will play well but his strong personality might be a bit much for some cats, especially if they are very laid back.

Ellie was found in the back of a fertilizer delivery truck by some kind ladies at a local feed store. I took over her care the next day. Bottle fed at 3-6 weeks old she is a very active and thriving kitten now eating canned/hard kitten food. Ellie is quite the entertainer with never a dull moment playing for a few hours than napping after. She lives inside with us and sleeps with us but loves her bed too. She is litter box trained, has been vaccinated and spayed. She is now 9 weeks old and weighs 2 pounds. She loves to play with my three small dogs and chasing after her toys. Will you consider giving Ellie a loving furever home!

Story
Meredith used to be a member of a feral cat colony in Broussard. They have a caretaker that sees to their needs, and they all usually do fairly well there. However, we decided to take in Meredith because she was quite sick and needed to be on medication for multiple weeks. During that time, she's been in a foster home and has adjusted to the house-cat life quite well. She's now completely healthy and ready to find a forever home! Meredith is very much a diva and likes things her way. She's more like a roommate than a pet, to be honest. She can be very vocal when she wants something, usually either food or to go in/out of a specific room. She's not really a cuddley cat, but she does enjoy people's company. You'll often find her napping on the couch next to her foster parents while they're watching TV. The best way to win over Meredith's heart is through food - any kind of treats will do. You can also always count on her to join you in the kitchen when you're cooking food or sitting down for a meal. Meredith absolutely adores other cats and loves to play with the other foster kittens. Because of this, we'd love to see her go to a home that already has one or more friendly cats, but she'd probably be fine as an only child too. She's currently living with three large dogs and gets along with them quite well as long as they respect her personal space. Meet Pina Colada! She is our shy girly at the moment and even still, has come so far since she first transferred to us back in December. She was so scared and on edge and she couldn't trust anyone, it was just too scary. She has always loved the comfort and safety of her favorite box but she has really taken to a volunteer who comes to spend time with her regularly. Once she is comfortable with you she comes out of her box to show her beautiful markings and her sweet, loving, and playful side! Now that she is feeling more comfortable she is looking for the purrrfect home that will accept and love her for who she is. We feel that a calm, fairly quiet home is what she needs. She also needs someone who understands her timidness and wants to spend time breaking boundaries and bonding with her. If that is you, fill out the adoption request form and get this sweet girl out of the shelter so she can shine! Update: She is thriving in a foster home currently, she just needed to get out of the shelter and she is loving it. Turns out she is very cuddly and loves to be by her person, still timid and would need a calmer home but so much more confident than at the shelter!

Meet Abott! This poor guy has had no interest what so ever. He was originally adopted from us back in 2018 and came back in February with a brother in tote. They did not seem to enjoy each others company while here so we decided to let his brother be adopted separately but no one has shown interest in sweet Abott. He has been living his best life in foster to give him a break from the shelter life and they describe him as "the most affectionate cat they have ever fostered" and that he loves to snuggle!
