Story
"The eyes of a black cat hold secrets untold" Well that is definitely the case with T-Bone here, who came in as a stray cat, absolutely terrified. Not being able to speak cat, his past is a mystery to us but we have worked tirelessly to gain his trust and we can happily tell you he is ready for his life as a house cat! Because of his secret past, we are using good judgement with other animals at this time using slow and positive introductions. Children may be ok if they are old enough to respect his space and give him the time he needs to adjust to his surroundings. If you are calm and slow you could become great friends! For any other questions, please contact BHS directly.

Story
Spooky is a 12 year old tub-of-love who is in need of an ACTIVE lifestyle! This professional lap warmer is on a strict weight loss management diet and a vet relationship would be needed to continue with her food and keep an eye on her overall health and well-being. Although staff at the shelter looks forward to "Weigh in Wednesday" every week, we know Spooky will thrive best and get back to her healthy weight in an actual home, we mean it when we say an active lifestyle will be best for her!. Spooky does not have a history with other animals that we are aware of, so if there are any other pets at home they should be cat savvy and able to do slow and positive introductions. Respectful kids could be ok, and maybe even help keep her moving. Though she does need some encouragement to get up and work out, she will happily chase you down a hallway if you're shaking a treat bag. Spooky is a lover of toys, treats, and when you scratch that little spot behind her ear that she hasn't reached in years, and she will even let you cradle her like a baby once she's comfortable with you! If you think Spooky is the cat for you, please stop by, email, or give us a call!

Story
Hi, I'm Trout! I'm a sweet, friendly feline who loves a good cuddle. My purrs are soothing and am a sucker for catnip. I'm FIV+, but don't worry, with the right care, I can live a long, happy life. Because of my diagnosis I would need to be the only cat in the home unless also FIV+. I enjoy sunny spots for napping, and my favorite game is chasing after a toy mouse. I'm an adult cat, which means I'm past the mischievous kitten stage, but I still have plenty of playfulness left in me. Adopting me means you'll have a loyal companion who will fill your days with warmth and love. You'll also be giving a deserving cat a loving home. So, how about it? Would you like to add a little Trout to your life?
