Story
If Sandy could introduce herself, she`d probably have a lot to say, and she`d say it loudly. This vocal girl isn`t shy about sharing her opinions, especially when she`s feeling overwhelmed. New people, new places, and new experiences can be a lot for Sandy, and she`ll let you know when she needs a little extra space. But don`t mistake her caution for unfriendliness. Beneath that hesitant exterior is a sweet cat who simply likes to take things at her own pace. Once she has time to settle in and learn that you`re someone she can trust, Sandy begins to show her softer side. Because she can be sensitive to overstimulation, Sandy would do best with people who understand and respect feline boundaries. She may be able to live with children, cats, and dogs given slow introductions and good judgment, but she would be happiest with respectful kids and cat-savvy animal companions who can appreciate her need for personal space. Sandy isn`t looking for someone to rush her. She`s looking for someone who understands that the best friendships sometimes take a little time. Give her patience, listen to what she`s trying to tell you, and you`ll discover a sweet companion whose trust is well worth earning.

Story
Meet Yen!Yen is a beautiful female cat searching for a quiet, patient home where she can feel safe and secure. She came to us with other cats and has shown that she is comfortable around feline companions. In fact, she may benefit from having a confident cat friend in her new home.Yen is very, very nervous and finds new people and environments overwhelming. She will need adopters who understand that trust takes time and who are willing to let her adjust at her own pace. While she may not be the cat who seeks attention right away, she deserves a family that will give her the patience and kindness she needs to come out of her shell.Because of her shy nature, Yen is looking for a home with teens and up, who can respect her boundaries and provide a calm environment. Her experience with dogs is unknown, so thoughtful introductions to cat savvy dogs are imperative to making Yen feel comfortable. If you have a quiet home and a big heart for a cat who needs a little extra understanding, Yen could be the perfect companion to watch blossom over time. ????

Story
Rikki has been patiently waiting for her forever home for over a year… but she`s not going to settle until just the right match comes along. She’s a lady who knows what she wants and isn’t shy about sharing her opinions. Rikki has plenty to say and even more love to give. During a short stay in foster care with one of our staff members, Rikki truly let her big personality shine outside of the shelter environment. She’s a chatty girl who loves to “talk” about her day, make plenty of biscuits, and curl up for cozy cuddle sessions. At the shelter, offering her a churro treat is the quickest way to convince her you’re her new best friend. Our medical team has been managing Rikki’s IBS with a prescription diet and medications, and she’s doing well with that routine- she`ll need an adopter who`s comfortable with this daily regiment. The good news is that she takes her meds like a total champ—just tuck them into a treat and she’s so excited she doesn’t even notice. To keep her prescriptions going, she’ll need to have a veterinary relationship established at the time of adoption. Rikki would prefer to be the only cat in the home so she can soak up all the attention she deserves. She may be able to warm up to a dog who understands cat etiquette, and she requested that any children in her new home be able to respect her boundaries (yes—she told us that herself). If you’re looking for a true companion who will fill your days with warmth, purrs, and entertainment, Rikki is ready to claim your lap — and your heart.

Story
Hello, I'm Charlie. I'm a little one, still learning about the world. I'm a gentle soul, preferring quiet corners to boisterous play. I might be a bit shy when we first meet, but give me time. I'll soon be curling up next to you, purring softly. I enjoy my own company, but I also crave the warmth of a friend. I'm sweet, with a quiet kind of love that grows over time. My independence means I won't demand your attention all the time, but I'll always be there when you need me. Adopting me means gaining a mellow, loving companion who will be by your side, through the calm and chaos of life.

Story
Hello, I'm Cynthia. I may be an adult, but I've got the heart of a kitten. I cherish my independence, yet I've got a sweet side that longs for a companion. I'm loyal to a fault, always there when you need a friend. I'm friendly and smart, but don't worry, I won't outsmart you! I'm mellow and gentle, preferring quiet moments over loud noises. I'm brave, but not reckless. I love to be pet, it's my favorite pastime. Why should you adopt me? Because I'm not just a cat, I'm a friend, a confidante, a companion. I promise to fill your life with purrs and unconditional love.

Story
Moose is a handsome cat looking for a patient and understanding forever home. He can be a little nervous in new situations and may need some time to feel comfortable, but with a calm environment and gentle approach, he begins to show his sweet personality.Because Moose can be shy and easily overwhelmed, he would do best with older, respectful children who understand cat boundaries and can let him settle in at his own pace.Moose has shown good judgment around other cats, approaching them thoughtfully and respectfully. He may do well in a home with another compatible cat after a proper introduction. We do not know how Moose feels about dogs, so any introductions to canine companions should be done slowly and carefully. If you`re looking for a gentle companion and are willing to give him the time he needs to build confidence, Moose could be a wonderful addition to your family. ??????
