During a short stay in foster care with one of our staff members, Rikki truly let her big personality shine outside of the shelter environment. At the shelter, offering her a churro treat is the quickest way to convince her you’re her new best friend.Our medical team has been managing Rikki’s IBS with a prescription diet and medications, and she’s doing well with that routine- she`ll need an adopter who`s comfortable with this daily regiment. The good news is that she takes her meds like a total champ—just tuck them into a treat and she’s so excited she doesn’t even notice. To keep her prescriptions going, she’ll need to have a veterinary relationship established at the time of adoption.
