Story
Sasha & Sheila are a bonded pair of black cats who were abandoned outside in the winter. These beautiful girls are absolute lovers! They show affection by rolling around on the floor, asking for pets, or being held for scratches and kisses.  Shelia will chirp and meow when she’s talking to you. They both love lounging around most days waiting for their furever lap. You can tell them apart any Sasha’s big round eyes. These girls love people, and children, but are not fond of other cats. As a bonded pair, they must be adopted together. Sasha is being treated with vitamins and diet to help control loose stools (her fecal was negative) and has responded well to the meds. They are both available for adoption! Fill out our adoption application. October 14, 2024, 1:26 pm

Story
Meet Maleficent, a stunning black cat with a quiet, reserved personality and a touch of mystery. She's been with the rescue since June 2023, and is ready for her furever family. Like her namesake, she may seem a little aloof at first, but beneath that calm exterior is a sweet and affectionate companion just waiting for the right person to help her blossom. Maleficent is a shy, gentle soul who would thrive in a peaceful, patient home where she can feel safe and secure. While she may take her time warming up to new people and environments, once she’s comfortable, she’ll reveal her softer side. She enjoys quiet moments, whether it's lounging in a sunbeam or observing the world from a cozy perch. With her sleek black fur and enchanting eyes, Maleficent is a true beauty who just needs a little time to trust and feel at home. If you have a calm space and are willing to offer her the patience she needs, Maleficent will become a loving and loyal friend, offering her quiet companionship and the occasional gentle purr. Could Maleficent be your magical match? If you're ready to open your heart to a shy but sweet cat, come meet Maleficent today and help her find her happily-ever-after!Fill out our adoption application. January 4, 2025, 11:18 am

Story
Moostash is a sweet, skittish tuxedo cat who spent her first four years of life outside. She's been in her foster home since April of 2024 when we rescued her and her last litter of kittens. She and her sister, Topaz, each had 4 kittens. The sisters raised their eight babies together and all of the kittens have found homes. Now it's mama Moostash's turn! Moostash is friendly, but life outside has made her very wary of new people. She needs an adopter who can be patient and understand that she needs time to warm up and gets scared easily. She absolutely loves head scritches and she will come say hi and ask for pets. She is highly food motivated. Churu is her favorite snack and she will push her foster siblings out of the way to get more. When she hears the sound of her wet food being opened she comes running and loves to circle your feet and meow until you give her the plate. She is very independent, low-energy cat who likes to do her own thing. Sometimes her foster mom won't see her until dinner time! She loves lounging in the window or snuggling into the blankets of an empty bed. She also loves play time and especially enjoys playing with hair ties or a wand toy. She doesn't like loud noises, fast movements, or being picked up so she needs a calm household with no children and no dogs. She does like other cats a lot but can be territorial so she needs a slow introduction to any feline friends.  She is a special needs kitty because she has a problem with her hips. She has a sway when she walks and occasionally if she gets frightened or runs too fast, her back stumble. The vet we spoke with said it may be a neurological issue. Thankfully, it doesn't appear to cause her any pain, she has no trouble with the litter box, and she can jump/climb onto low surfaces like couches, beds, cat trees, etc. without problems. Fill out our adoption application. This handsome masked boy is ready to find his furever family. He's the biggest one of his litter. Loves to eat and play. His favorite spot to lay is in the cat tree.
