Story
Meet Poblano! I guess he is about 12-14 weeks old. He's a spicy boy, and is looking for an *experienced adopter* to give him a better home. He was rescued off the side of the street along with his brothers and mother, who were dumped in a cardboard box. He loves to play with his brother, but is not a fan of humans. He will hiss and nip - however, with patience I've been able to pet him and bundle him in a blanket to get him on my lap, where he'll slowly come out and just lay on me and snooze. Again, Poblano will need an *experienced adopter* who can demonstrate that they're willing to put the time in to work with making him comfortable around humans. He is litter box trained and up to date on his vaccines minus rabies, as he was not old enough at last visit. His blood tests for FELV and FIV came back negative, same for heartworm. He has been de-wormed as well.

Story
This is Goose! He is Poblano's brother, and he is MUCH less spicy. He will hiss quietly when approached, and is still timid around humans, but he will come out and eat food in front of me and if I gently pick him up I can get him in my lap to cuddle for a bit. He is looking for an *experienced adopter* who has past experience with semi-feral/stray cats. Goose, along with his three other brothers and mother, was trapped off the side of the road, after his mother had been dumped earlier in the season. He is up to date on vaccines at the moment but is ready for boosters in a week, and upon hitting 16 weeks (I am guessing he is between 12 and 14 weeks) he will be able to get his rabies vaccine. His bloodwork is all negative for FELV and FIV, as well as heartworm, and he has been dewormed and provided flea and tick topical last month. Again, Goose will need an experienced adopter - he is still very scared and it will likely take some time for him to warm up to his humans!

Story
Sasha & Sheila are a bonded pair of black cats who were abandoned outside in the winter. These beautiful girls are absolute lovers! They show affection by rolling around on the floor, asking for pets, or being held for scratches and kisses.  Shelia will chirp and meow when she’s talking to you. They both love lounging around most days waiting for their furever lap. You can tell them apart any Sasha’s big round eyes. These girls love people, and children, but are not fond of other cats. As a bonded pair, they must be adopted together. Sasha is being treated with vitamins and diet to help control loose stools (her fecal was negative) and has responded well to the meds. They are both available for adoption! Fill out our adoption application. October 14, 2024, 1:26 pm

Story
Meet Maleficent, a stunning black cat with a quiet, reserved personality and a touch of mystery. She's been with the rescue since June 2023, and is ready for her furever family. Like her namesake, she may seem a little aloof at first, but beneath that calm exterior is a sweet and affectionate companion just waiting for the right person to help her blossom. Maleficent is a shy, gentle soul who would thrive in a peaceful, patient home where she can feel safe and secure. While she may take her time warming up to new people and environments, once she’s comfortable, she’ll reveal her softer side. She enjoys quiet moments, whether it's lounging in a sunbeam or observing the world from a cozy perch. With her sleek black fur and enchanting eyes, Maleficent is a true beauty who just needs a little time to trust and feel at home. If you have a calm space and are willing to offer her the patience she needs, Maleficent will become a loving and loyal friend, offering her quiet companionship and the occasional gentle purr. Could Maleficent be your magical match? If you're ready to open your heart to a shy but sweet cat, come meet Maleficent today and help her find her happily-ever-after!Fill out our adoption application. January 4, 2025, 11:18 am
