Took in cat for a friend that was moving into an apartment that didn't allow pets. Toby does not get along with our older cat. He is curious and like to play with his toys and scratch posts.

Story
Rusty is a perfect kitty for a quiet, slower paced home environment. If you are an adult who enjoys layed back afternoons or nights relaxing with a good book or television program, Rusty will keep you company for hours. He has a heart of gold, and the most loving personality. Rusty is a very purry kitty and loves to follow his loved ones around the house. He's vocal, and chirps to get his point across! Rusty is awaiting a loving forever home. All homeless animals deserve their happily ever after. It's now Rusty's turn. *Rusty has FIV which is a manageable condition, not a death sentence, with many FIV+ cats living normal lifespans. Please read more below! If you have interest in adopting Rusty, please complete and submit a Kitten/Cat Adoption Application at: www.heavenlypawsofmi.org -Go to Menu -Select: Applications -Select: Kitten/Cat Adoption Application -Complete the form. Land Submit Adoption Fee: $150 All Adoption Fees go toward the wellness care for animals under the loving care of Heavenly Paws of Michigan. *FIV is a manageable condition, not a death sentence, with many FIV+ cats living normal lifespans. There’s a good chance that pet parents have had an FIV+ cat without even realizing it, because many cats never show symptoms. Routine vet checkups, even if your cat seems healthy are important. As with any adult cat, keeping vaccinations current is also important. Be vigilant about any signs of illness. FIV+ cats can’t fight off infections as effectively as cats without FIV, so periodic vet visits are very important. While there is currently no recommended vaccine for FIV, it is a manageable condition with proper care and a loving home. Felines with this condition can live long, happy lives. FIV+ cats can live normal lifespans of 12 to 18 years. Although FIV might weaken their immune system, regular vet checkups, an indoor lifestyle, and minimizing stress can keep them healthy for many years.

She was rescued as a stray from Detroit. Very playful and curious. She doesn't fear anything. I'm looking to re-home her only because my first cat isn't really matching her personality.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.PURRS ABOUND SIAMESE RESCUE OF MICHIGAN,INC.  Hi there, I'm S'mores! I came into the rescue along with my sister, Harlem, after my loving human passed away.  My foster Mom says that Harlem and I are bonded and need to find a family who will welcome us both.  While with the rescue, I've had all my medical made up to date - I'm estimated around 3 years old. I’m spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and I'm ready to find my family! Here's the important stuff about me: I'm a very sweet girl, not a mean bone in my body! I'm good with other cats and dogs. I'm good with kids as long as they respect my space and can interact appropriately with me. &#239&#184&#143I'm mellow and talkative with my people! I'm goofy and I'm sure to make you laugh! My foster mom says I'm quite the character. If you're interested in making my sister and me a part of your family, please submit an application found on our website: purrssiameserescue.rescuegroups.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 12, 2026, 12:07 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.PURRS ABOUND SIAMESE RESCUE OF MICHIGAN,INC. Please welcome Mama!!   Located in Howell, MI, Mama is a very happy young lady who is talkative and loves attention.  Some of her enjoyments include laying on your lap, nuzzling into the crook of your arm and making biscuits.  She loves her food and uses her litter like a champ!  She is fully vetted, spayed and negative for FeLV, FIV and Heartworm. Sadly, Mama came from a hoarding situation and had a very difficult adjustment once she came to Purrs Abound.  For that reason, Mama is looking for a patient and understanding family.  While Mama lived with numerous other cats in the hoarding home, we don't know how well she interacted with them.  Mama's son is currently bunking with her in her foster home and, sadly, Mama doesn't really like him.  With proper introductions, Mama may adjust well to a mild mannered resident kitty.   Mama's foster Mom feels that Mama will do best in a home with older children who will learn and understand her boundaries as she can easily be overstimulated if you aren't paying attention.  Mama has blossomed in her current foster's home and we feel that she is ready now to move on to a forever home where she can be the center of attention.                       Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 12, 2026, 12:07 pm

Story
Frida was taken in from a newly retired couple who decided to begin traveling the world. She was a beloved cat. Frida is 5 years old. Frida is best as the only pet and no younger kids. When initially adopting her it took around 3 weeks until she warmed up to me. Now every night she sleeps at the foot of my bed and comes to say “hi” during Netflix time. Frida is lovable and curious. She likes to explore the backyard if you let her. She is very well behaved and house trained. She is shy around strangers. But loves food and attention.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.PURRS ABOUND SIAMESE RESCUE OF MICHIGAN,INC.Introducing Blue who has had quite the journey!  When Blue came to us, he had lost all trust in humans.  His owner had died and he and several other kitties lived alone for an unknown time before being rescued and he was depressed, frightened and had lost all trust in humans.  Fortunately, a wonderful cat-experienced family stepped up to foster Blue.  They understood that Blue needed time to feel safe and, with their love and patience, one day over a year later, something clicked!  Blue broke through the wall he had created and decided to let himself be loved!!! Blue still has moments where he can be aloof, but he now loves being petted, willingly gives head butts and will push his head into your hand or crook of your elbow to get the attention he has sadly missed. Blue definitely enjoys laps and soft blankets and can be quite talkative with those who will listen!   Blue’s fosters learn more about this handsome fellow each day as he reveals something new and positive.   Blue’s ideal home will be with mature adults who will understand that he may backslide and need time and their patience to feel comfortable.  Older children would be fine and he may appreciate another laid back, non-aggressive cat but he would most likely prefer no dogs.  If asked, though, Blue would say the most important thing on his shopping list is his very own person.  Could it please be YOU?? Please contact us with any questions you may have about this most deserving young boy.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 12, 2026, 12:07 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.PURRS ABOUND SIAMESE RESCUE OF MICHIGAN,INC.1/30/2024 Hi, I'm Harlem! You may remember me from a few months back when I sadly lost my human and found myself seeking a new home. I had something called a rodent ulcer on my lips, and it was pretty severe. Thankfully, a super sweet foster mom scooped me and my sister, Harlem, up, got my medical issues taken care of, and Harlem and I are finally ready to find our forever home! Here's some information from my foster mom! &#226&#172&#135&#239&#184&#143 I'm a sweet girl and my foster mom says I'm booming with personality! If you're looking for a companion who will have you laughing, I'm your girl! I love to birdwatch from my favorite windowsill. If you don't give me enough attention, I will tap and grab your hand and meow at you. I love to be a part of everything, and I love my people! I do have some allergies to food and I require foods without chicken or fish. This is what caused my rodent ulcer, and it may come back if I'm not kept on a proper diet for my needs. My allergies are treated with steroids from the vet when they become a problem. I am bonded with my sister, S'mores so we are looking for a home where we can stay together. I’m estimated to be 3 years old. Do I sound like the girl for you? Story
We recently found a stray cat in our backyard who appeared very weak and was looking for food and shelter. We brought her into our home about 3 weeks ago and have been caring for her since then. She has already been examined by a veterinarian, and we were informed that she does not have worms or any known infections. She is estimated to be around 6–8 months old. She is also pregnant and has not been spayed yet. She is very sweet and deserves a safe and caring home or rescue placement. We are looking for a shelter, rescue, or responsible adopter who may be able to accommodate and care for her.
