Story
Bathroom Renovation is a very active 8 year old male. He is confident, vocal, smart, and wants to play. He likes to sleep on your pillow above your head at night, and wants to be involved with everything you are doing. I think he would do best in a home that is able to give him a lot of attention, maybe with kids who know how to tell when a cat isn't a fan of something. He can be picked up, carried, and flopped around, but sometimes he decides that he doesn't want to get pet anymore and doesn't like certain spots. I am re-homing him because I am moving in with a roommate who has had her 2 cats for 8 years, while I have owned Reno for less than a year, and there is a 2 pet limit. I am also busy often, and I am not able to give him the level of attention and play that he needs to thrive. He has one known medical issue, which is that he has frequent ear infections. One of his ears was surgically removed inside, so he only has one left. He does medications and nail trims very easily.

🐾 WELCOME HOME! 🐾 Bringing Your New Kitty Home: What to Expect Thank you for adopting and giving this kitty a second chance! Here’s what you need to know for a smooth transition: 🛏 Start Small Set your cat up in one quiet room with a litter box, food, water, and a hiding spot (like a covered bed or cardboard box). Let them explore slowly and on their terms. ⏳ Give Time Even the friendliest cats may be shy at first. Expect 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to settle in, and up to 3 months to fully adjust. Be patient—they're learning to trust! It’s normal for cats to hide for the first 24–72 hours. Adult cats, especially, may take even longer to feel safe. As long as they’re eating, drinking, and using the litter box, hiding is okay! 🍽 Feed & Hydrate Keep food and water dishes in a quiet, accessible spot. Follow any diet info provided. Monitor eating, drinking, and litter box habits the first few days. 🚽 Litter Box Basics Show them where the box is right away. Keep it clean and use unscented, clumping litter unless otherwise noted. 🐱 Interactions Let your cat come to you. Avoid loud noises or too much handling early on. Use gentle voices and slow blinks to build trust. 🐕 Introducing to Other Pets? Slow and steady wins the race! Keep your new kitty separated at first and take your time with introductions. 🧸 Playtime & Enrichment Interactive toys, scratching posts, and window views help relieve stress and build confidence. Story
This sweet girl was found in the middle of a busy road with eye injuries from some kind of blunt force trauma. A double enucleation in early February then ensued and a biopsy confirmed the cause of her injuries. She was estimated to be about 4 or 5 months old and was also very underweight for her age. Despite this rough beginning for such a young girl, she has made a remarkable recovery and has adjusted beautifully to her new world! She confidently navigates her foster room, chases a wand toy, finds her food and litter box every time, and goes up and down stairs like a champ! One of the cutest things about her is her chirpy little meow when she wants your attention. She has the best little spirit, is very playful (watch out — she’ll roll over and try to “attack” your hand when excited!), and loves lying next to you and getting pets. Her inky black velvet coat is extremely soft, and she has the most adorable white hairs throughout! She really likes other kitties — her spunky foster sister helped her “see” the room, so a home with another confident cat would be wonderful. Living with a blind kitten is no different than living a sighted kitten, and there are a few things you can do to help – Fahrenheit will need time to adapt to a new home, introduced gradually (room by room). Keeping her food, litter box, and favorite spots in consistent places, or making only small changes at a time is best. Rugs can help with orientation, and she can learn stairs. It’s best not to carry her around; if you do pick her up, putting her back in the same spot helps her orient herself once again. She also orients by voice, so talking to her before petting or picking her up is also very helpful. What do you think? Want to meet her? Email adoptions@savedbyzade.com!

Story
Meet Arsenio. Silky soft, absurdly sweet, and absolutely convinced that personal space is a myth invented by lesser beings. If there’s another cat in the room, Arsenio will be on them — snuggling, grooming, wrestling, or draping himself across their back like a very affectionate scarf. He would genuinely prefer a home with a feline friend, because solo life just isn’t his vibe. His tail deserves its own paragraph. It appears permanently floofed, as if he’s in a constant state of mild astonishment or runway readiness. It’s glorious. It has presence. Arsenio is playful, social, and happiest when he has both a cuddle buddy and a human willing to admire how ridiculously soft he is. If your household includes another cat who enjoys being adored with enthusiasm and zero boundaries, Arsenio is ready to move in. inquire at adoptions@savedbyzade.com
