Story
Life is a beautiful brown tabby who came to us from another shelter with several other cats. She's an older girl but has plenty of spunk left in her. She is often found snoozing in her box but will happily come out if you stop by and offer her some ear scratches. Life was adopted and returned for not being a lap cat. She took the return pretty hard but has recently started to feel at home again. She may not be a lap cat but she does enjoy attention and would probably enjoy curling up on the couch nearby. Life is looking for a quieter home where she can be the only pet or with one that leaves her alone. She's 13 and wants to enjoy her retirement in peace!

Story
Zorri is a super cute flame point tabby with the most adorablely unique markings! She was brought to the shelter when her owner moved away and could not take her with them. She is a little nervous being here, but has been super friendly and loving to staff. She could stand to lose a pound or two, but is otherwise the perfect kitty. She'll be a great fit for almost any home!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If honey needed a picture in the dictionary, Molly would be purr-fect!  Molly is sweet, mellow, and adaptable.  Here is her story: A few years ago,  Molly's human parent died.  The family brought Molly and her best friend, Maeve, to the shelter.  These two inseparable friends were scared.  Once at TKN, Maeve, who was between 9 and 10 years old, passed away unexpectedly.  Molly has adapted to the loss and does well with the other cats at her foster home yet, she is searching for another friend who will walk with her, snuggle with her, and share secrets.  Unfortunately, all of the cats at her foster home are "only" cats and don't feel the need for this type of deep, abiding friendship. She is a delightful companion for humans.  She enjoys being by your side, kneading your pillow, and sleeping next to you.  She would prefer to live with dogs who do not chase her (her foster dog brothers are naughty).  She really is as close to perfect as a furry family member can be. Molly would like to thank the wonderful volunteers and staff at Genesee County Animal Control for their advocacy on behalf of her and Maeve and for providing the critical medical care that saved her life.  She had an infection that can happen when a cat is not spayed.  They also did not care that she is FIV positive which is progressive for a shelter Est DOB 08/29/08 Adoption Fee $75 Below are some links with information on FIV:   http://www.crashslanding.org/FivAndFelv.html http://bestfriends.org/News-And-Features/News/FIV-positive-cat-corrects-misconceptions/ http://www.vetinfo.com/fiv-positive-cats.html  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 9, 2024, 8:36 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello there!  My name is Carla and I'm looking for my forever home.  I would prefer a quiet home.  I am shy at first and will need an adopter who will be patient with me and allow me time to decompress.   I do best with cat who are laid back (I like to be in charge).  I am fine with dogs who are respectful of my personal space.  I am completely litter box trained and am good at using my scratching posts.  I  would love a home with a cat tower where I can perch on it and look outside and soak up the sun safely indoors! Do you think that that could be with you? Please consider applying to come meet me and give me the forever home that I so deserve.  Est DOB 01/29/16 Adoption Fee $75  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 9, 2024, 8:36 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi my name is Saya.  When my family moved they decided it was too much work to take me too and threw me outside.  I was so scared and confused.  Thankfully their neighbor found out what my “family” did and found me and brought me inside.  I was so happy to be safe, warm and have food/water again. My foster mom says I’m a very sweet, but extremely shy girl.  My adopter will need to be very patient with me and understand that I may never seek out attention.  I'm great with other cats.  I would do best in a home with a human friendly cat who can show me that humans aren't scary. When I'm comfortable in my environment, I do enjoy playing (especially with the laser light) and love treats.  I’m very good at using the litter box and my scratching posts. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet the Porch Kittens! One day Terrace & his siblings just appeared on a porch. The homeowner started feeding them and never saw a mom so he contacted The Kitten Nursery.  They weren't sure of humans at first, but quickly changed their minds. Terrace is a laid back guy.  He enjoys playing, but at his own pace. He prefers snuggles over a chase. Terrace must be adopted into a home that already has young cat or with one of her foster siblings.   Terrace is up to date on vaccines, FeLV/FIV negative, microchipped & neutered.
