Lady Eboshi is a beautiful tortie who came to the shelter after being hit by a car. She has recovered from her injuries and is ready to find a new home. She is sweet as can be and seems to be doing fine as an indoor cat but some cats that are used to being allowed outside when they choose cannot adjust to life as an indoor only cat. Potential adopters wishing to make one of them an indoor pet, will need to be patient and to keep in mind that there could be potential behavior issues and that some cats never lose their desire to roam.

Yaeko is a sweet momma cat who came to the shelter with her babies when her owner could no longer care for her. She and the kittens were living in a closet and had not been fed regularly so she was very thin and could no longer care for her babies (Don't worry! They are in a foster home and doing great!) With a little TLC and some regular meals, she'll be back to a good weight in no time. She appears to have been an indoor/outdoor cat but if she knows wet food appears regularly might adjust to living inside. Exile and his brother End Game are BIG boys (almost 20 pounds each) who have the tiniest meows! They came to the shelter when their owner got a dog and they could not adjust to life with a dog. They are settling in nicely and while they love each other they are having trouble adjusting to the other cats. They would love to go home together but we understand 40 pounds of cat might be too much for some people. They would probably do best as only cats if they are adopted separately but might be OK with another easy going cat who gives them time to settle in. All our adoptable cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on shots before adoption!

Here is her story: A few years ago, Molly's human parent died. The family brought Molly and her best friend, Maeve, to the shelter. These two inseparable friends were scared. Once at TKN, Maeve, who was between 9 and 10 years old, passed away unexpectedly. Molly has adapted to the loss and does well with the other cats at her foster home yet, she is searching for another friend who will walk with her, snuggle with her, and share secrets. Unfortunately, all of the cats at her foster home are "only" cats and don't feel the need for this type of deep, abiding friendship. She is a delightful companion for humans. She enjoys being by your side, kneading your pillow, and sleeping next to you. She would prefer to live with dogs who do not chase her (her foster dog brothers are naughty). She really is as close to perfect as a furry family member can be. Molly would like to thank the wonderful volunteers and staff at Genesee County Animal Control for their advocacy on behalf of her and Maeve and for providing the critical medical care that saved her life. She had an infection that can happen when a cat is not spayed. I was so scared and confused. Thankfully their neighbor found out what my “family” did and found me and brought me inside. I was so happy to be safe, warm and have food/water again. My foster mom says I’m a very sweet, but extremely shy girl. My adopter will need to be very patient with me and understand that I may never seek out attention. I'm great with other cats.
