Story
Biscuit was a rescue kitten. We took her from a vet clinic who had rescued many barn kittens and adopted them out; they couldn’t adopt her out because no one wanted an all black kitten. We immediately went to get her when our friend notified us she was available! She was cute, sweet, and curious. She was loved by our beagle and our other cats. Over time we noticed she was not being welcomed by our other cats (this took about 2 years for us to notice the entirety of it happening). And we noticed her peeing outside of the litter. We worked through behavior issues, medical issues, even had a several-thousand dollar surgery to remove some crystals in her bladder that had formed! We have had her on anti-anxiety meds for years (until she was running from us and was refusing to take them, then we just couldn’t keep making her take them…it was becoming too heartbreaking). We are exhausted. She deserves a home where she is the only cat, or maybe a kitten is introduced later on. She needs peace.

She was shy at first with us and my cat and dog. She warmed up to us later on. She sleeps most of the day and plays at night. She loves head scratches, noisy toys, she’s very vocal, she loves those tube treats, will most of the time lay down with you, wake you up when your alarms go off in the mornings, and she will rub her head on you for scratches!

Story
Gracie is a 5 year old sweetie pie. She loves to cuddle while you’re relaxing on the couch and bed. She has a tummy issue where she needs to eat Prescription Hills urinary food but other than that she is very healthy. When I acquired Gracie 5 years ago she was very skiddish and very nervous. She did not trust anyone. With a little time and patience she has become very playful and friendly. I now have grandchildren and my evenings have become busy. I hate to leave her alone so much because I also work full time. Gracie does well with kids and adults. She has not been around other cats or dogs. I do have her cat carrier, new litter box, 1 box of litter and some food that comes with her as well.

Story
Monster is a little tuxedo cat. She is about 2 years old. My daughter brought me a mama cat (didn’t know) who had kittens. During this time, mama cat was very aggressive and unfriendly. After 6 months, they are still not getting along although Monster gets along with the kittens. She still seems unhappy here. I am looking for a new home with less stress for her.

Story
Dory gave birth to a litter of kittens in an abandoned cab.  Her and her babies were found and brought into rescue.  Dory is now ready to find her own home.  Dory is a sweet girl who LOVES her humans.  She loves pets and cuddles and laying in the sun.  She loves watching Cat TV sitting on the back of the couch. She loves interacting with her human.Dory does love people, but she is not fond of other animals.  Dory would truly be perfect for an older couple/person that wanted a companion.  You would be Dory's entire world and she would shower you with all of the love you could want.Dory MUST be the ONLY animal in the home.  Teenage children would be fine.  Dory does love to be in high places.   A few places in her home where she can be higher up would be fantastic.Dory may take a day or two to acclimate to her new environment, but that wait is worth it as she is full of nothing but love. The volunteers that take care of the cats at PetSmart love her to bits. July 17, 2025, 1:42 am

Story
Hi, I’m Elsie – a bold little tuxedo explorer with a big personality and an even bigger pounce!I was found in a flooder area in Elsberry after some scary storms, and ever since then, I’ve been learning what it means to be safe, loved, and part of a family. I’m a super playful, curious girl who lives for toys – especially the kind I can stalk and pounce on like the fierce little hunter I am. And don’t even get me started on canned food... total obsession.I can be shy and a bit skittish at first – loud noises and sudden movements aren’t really my thing – but I’m getting braver every day and learning that human affection can actually be pretty wonderful. With patience and love, I’m really starting to come out of my shell. What I really need is a home with another young, playful, and confident kitty who can show me the ropes and help me feel safe and comfortable. Because of my more sensitive nature, I’d do best in a calmer home without young kids – older kids or adults who understand how to go slow with me would be perfect. If you’re looking for a spunky little sidekick with tons of personality and potential, I might just be your girl.– Elsie  October 28, 2025, 2:31 am

Tilly is an original, a one of a kind! She is independent, sassy, bossy, silly, cute and a certifiable Purrpot ALL in a small package! Life is ALWAYS a smile or a laugh with Tilly. She is a free-range family member in her current foster home.  She shares her foster home with her foster mom, dog, cats and one fellow foster sister. She gets along with the extended family and family dogs who come to visit. She is confident with new people and will come to greet and welcome you. She loves to play and even "hunts" offered treats. She is intelligent and learns quickly. She has shown an interest in the outdoors; she is currently working on harness training along with one of her foster brothers with the same interest. She is groomed and her nails are trimmed on a regular basis.
