Story
Hi!! My name is Abby. I was rescued from Jefferson County Animal Control along with my 4 kittens. The kittens have all been adopted, but I am still looking for my furever home. I am a very pretty, quiet girl who usually minds her own business. I am very shy and will hide when visitors come over. I spend most of my time on a perch where I can nap in peace. Usually I just watch all the activity, but occasionally I will chase the laser light. My favorite thing to do is to nap on my foster Dad’s lap. I’ll even share his lap with other kitties.I’m not a cuddly cat, but will come to you when I want attention. I get freaked out if you try to pick me up, so you have to wait for me to come to you. I used to be very skittish but have come a long way recently. I will even let you walk up and pet me most of the time now. Just a few months ago I would have run away and hidden.I would probably be happiest being the only cat in the house, but I might consider sharing my humans with another cat if it wasn’t aggressive. I am used to dogs and I don’t really mind them. We just leave each other alone. I have not been around children, but would not do well with them since I am so shy and afraid to be picked up. I might be happiest in a quiet home with an older adult (probably a man) who would love to spoil me and give me a nice comfy lap to sleep on.I will need a special family who is patient with me while I get used to new surroundings. I’m not too adventurous when it comes to new things. But if you give me time I just might be your new lap cat!My adoption fee is $75.00 and includes all testing, spaying, microchipping. I am also up-to-date on shots. If you’d like to meet me, please contact my foster Mom. I don’t go to adoption events because I get too scared there, so we would need to make other arrangements to get acquainted. I’ll be ready when you are!DeniseFoster Mom314.322.5607 - celljdbaisch@att.netIf you have any questions or would like to meet this pet, please email contact@stlpetrescue.com. Information about the rescue and adoption process can also be found at stlpetrescue.com along with a full listing of our adoptable pets. Our adoption fees:Cats range from $150 to $175. I have a best friend Stublet. Maybe you would consider adopting us both!Dustin is big cat. He is very active and loves to run up and down the stairs and play with balls. He's not so much of a lover but more of a manly- like cat. He does like sitting on laps. If you want him to want him to go somewhere all you need to do is to put dry food in a bowl and shake it and he will follow you anywhere. He gets along with other cats and dogs. Please contact my foster mom Kate at 314-550-5523If you have any questions or would like to meet this pet, please email contact@stlpetrescue.com. Story
Gumdrop is a sweet cat (sibling and littermate to Twix). Both orphaned and bottle fed are used to being handled and welcome interacting with their humans and cat/kitten friends alike. Very playful and affectionate but has developed a distaste for adoption events and does her best to channel her impersonation of a ""jaguar"". She will need someone understanding to see past initial impressions, giving her time to decompress and show her affectionate and kind nature. If you have any questions or would like to meet this pet, please email contact@stlpetrescue.com. Story
Meeko came into rescue 2 years ago at about 2 months. She was a wild child who contracted ringworm from the wild outside world. She had discovered she much prefers being an indoor cat with no worries of getting sick or hurt. She is shy and prefers to keep to herself. Her wild side is still there when she hunts toys, bugs or mice.September 29, 2023, 5:59 pm

Story
Get ready to fall in love with Rory! Rory’s the type of girl who will greet you with a sweet little meow and gently nudge you for head rubs when she’s in the mood. She wants to be near you while you watch your favorite show, but isn’t one to invade your personal space – at least until she decides she wants pets then that philosophy goes out the window. Rory also delights in her alone time and is happy to curl up in a cozy, sun spot to nap the afternoon away while you do you. When Rory is feeling extra sassy, she’ll grab her favorite toy and put on a cute little show for you tossing it in the air and rubbing her face all over it until her heart’s content. Rory would love to be adopted with her sister, Raven, but will also get along well with another calm cat or dog or as an only pet. Rory will thrive best in a calm home without tiny humans since their fast, unpredictable movements can be intimidating. Adults and older teens will be great fits. Rory just wants someone who will embrace that she's shy at first and will need some extra time to adjust to her new home. This sweetheart is four years old, litter box trained, spayed, and FIV/FeLV negative. To help this beautiful girl find her forever home we have lowered her adoption fee to just $50. Are you ready to meet your new companion? Contact 4 Paws 4 Rescue today to meet Rory! September 29, 2023, 5:59 pm

Story
Rory who is just over 4 months old as of 1/3/22 is the protector of his litter. Rory and his 5 litter mates were born in a truck yard. It was a loud scary place. He was found at 5 weeks old under a pile of wooden pallets hiding with his brothers Laddie and Logan. Two other brothers were hiding in a pcv pipe near by. Rory stood in front of Laddie and Logan protecting them. He is very energetic and independent. He is a very curious guy. Everything is on his terms. Rory will come up and sit by you but is not a lap cat. He loves to play with his foster and loves treats. He loves head rubs. He really likes to play with the kitty tease. It might take a little time to earn his trust. Where the action is there is Rory. He will do well in a house without small children. He would also do best if he was adopted with his brother Logan.September 29, 2023, 5:59 pm
