I was rescued from an Amish farm shortly after I gave birth to two beautiful babies. To start our adoption process, House of Mews Rescue asks that you please complete our on-line no-obligation adoption application, which is located on our website under the adopt tab at http://www.houseofmewsrescue.org/adopt.html A HOM volunteer will reach out to you to discuss your application within 24-48 hours after an application has been submitted. Current on vaccinations, and have tested negative for both FIV ('Feline Immunodeficiency Virus') and FeLV (Feline Leukemia).  I was rescued from an Amish farm shortly after I gave birth to two beautiful babies.  I was only 6 months old when I had my babies and I was to feel like my entire life would be getting pregnant, giving birth, and not have adequate food, water, and shelter.  Regardless, my babies came first and I was a very protective mom.  I made sure my babies were well fed and as warm as I could get them.  Suddenly, everything changed and I thought I might have a better future.   You see, I was rescued and brought inside to a nice big room with plenty of food and water.  My babies were safe and that made me so happy.  But I had, and still have, fears to overcome, trauma to get past, and trust issues.  I am much better than I used to be but I am still working on my confidence.   I am super sweet with my foster mom now.  I feel bad that I gave her such a hard time at first, but I didn't know any better.  I didn't know a kind touch or a loving heart coming from people.  Slowly I am learning that not all people are bad.  I'm not sure which ones are good and which ones are not which is why I take my time figuring it out.  Once I know a person, out comes this beautiful cat that loves to purr and I cannot get enough pets! I'm told I need a loving and patient forever family.  I am told that may be difficult.  I certainly am not trying to be difficult, I just had a really tough start and the scars will always be with me but I'm learning to love and trust. I can only hope there is a place for me with a family that can understand what I've been through and gives me every opportunity to adjust.   Approx. birth date: 7/24/20 Foster: MGJune 3, 2023, 1:37 pm

Beautiful bonded brothers need a loving homeTo start our adoption process, House of Mews Rescue asks that you please complete our online no-obligation adoption application, which is located on our website under the adopt tab at http://www.houseofmewsrescue.org/adopt.html Should our Adoption Coordinator feel your application is a good fit, a HOM volunteer will reach out to discuss your application with you. Current on vaccinations, and have tested negative for both FIV ('Feline Immunodeficiency Virus') and FeLV (Feline Leukemia). Donovan and Captain are bonded brothers who need a loving home that will allow them to be together forever.  You see, both these boys are a bit shy at first.  They will need someone who can give them time to adjust to their new home and environment.  They have come along way in foster care.  Donovan sleeps with his foster mom and curls up on the couch next to her, he did not do any of that when he was first rescued.  Captain is so sweet but he is just timid.  He will get some pets and loving from his foster mom but it is on his terms.    Captain and Donovan are always playing together, sleeping together, basically they do most things together.  They are so much fun to watch and provide hours of entertainment.  As stated above, they will need time to adjust to their new home but once they are comfortable, what a great feeling it will be to know you gave these boys a chance they deserve so much.     Approx. birth date: 4/1/21 Foster: MG  June 3, 2023, 1:37 pm

I'm a very good girl.To start our adoption process, House of Mews Rescue asks that you please complete our online no-obligation adoption application, which is located on our website under the adopt tab at http://www.houseofmewsrescue.org/adopt.html Should our Adoption Coordinator feel your application is a good fit, a HOM volunteer will reach out to discuss your application with you.  Current on vaccinations, and have tested negative for both FIV ('Feline Immunodeficiency Virus') and FeLV (Feline Leukemia).  Hey, my name is Iris, I am an about 1-year-old little girl. I have had a rough start in life and am looking for the perfect home to go to where I can snuggle on the couch with you every night and help you work from home every day. I love to chase the laser pointer and wand toys all day long. I am a bit shy and scared at first but warm up to my family. I do okay with other cats but, a quiet house where I am the center of attention would be this princess's dream. I get a little anxious when I’m left alone for a long time. I’m very smart and wonderful at using the litter box. I’m a small girl and will likely remain a small cat. I have a strong purr machine and am very good at baking biscuits!   Approx. birth date: 5/21/21 Foster: HMJune 3, 2023, 1:37 pm

She is very independent but at night likes to come to check in with her favorite human and get some snuggles. Every afternoon Tiger and her sister Iris( black and white) are found sunning and sleeping together. She is a very good girl who is fine with other cats, and curious about dogs and small humans. Happy has blossomed and developed a charming personalityTo start our adoption process, House of Mews Rescue asks that you please complete our online no-obligation adoption application, which is located on our website under the adopt tab at http://www.houseofmewsrescue.org/adopt.html Should our Adoption Coordinator feel your application is a good fit, a HOM volunteer will reach out to discuss your application with you.  Current on vaccinations, and have tested negative for both FIV ('Feline Immunodeficiency Virus') and FeLV (Feline Leukemia). Happy and Oppie are brothers looking for a home together.  At 2-month-old, they were rescued as stray kittens without their mom outside someone’s porch.  Because of their past experiences as outdoor kittens, they are apprehensive with strangers.  In their foster home, it took time for them to open up and trust people. Slowly but surely, these two have blossomed and developed their charming personalities.  Right now, their favorite past times are eating, sleeping, and playing with each other.  The two siblings do not respond well to changes.  They need a family with experience with shy kittens and the patience to help them adjust to a new environment.  They will need a quiet, mature home where they can get all the human attention and pampering.  Happy is more reserved than his brother Oppie.  He likes batting toys around that make sounds, and he enjoys wrestling with Oppie. When not eating or playing, Happy enjoys his naps and often uses his brother’s belly as a pillow.  Happy enjoys hanging out with people but does not like being held.  He will make a great companion as a couch potato when he grows up.
