Story
** FIV POSITIVE **My “friends” and I are a transplant from another rescue in Mississauga that was shutting down. I was one of the few that arrived with a “feral” label. I made it extremely clear, extremely fast, that was bogus. Okay, yes I was a little nervous at first, but I’ve been through a lot okay! I never hissed let alone try to attack - I don’t even have teeth! I’m an extremely food motivated boy and my one true love in the entire world is wet food. Even just the sound of you touching a can will send me running over. I’m not picky at all, just give me more! I don’t eat dry food or crunchy treats at all (I do make exceptions for human food). I can be very affectionate once I get to know you and realize you supply the goods. I enjoy head scratches and booty rubs. I can semi-tolerate being picked up but it still makes me nervous. I get along well with all the cats and have made many friends since arriving! I wouldn’t mind going home with one of my friends, meeting a new friend at your place, or having it be just me - just make sure you got your cans ready!Applications are reviewed in order received until an appropriate match is made. Story
My friends and I were a transplant from another rescue in Mississauga that was shutting down. I am an extremely timid girl. I can be quite spooked by loud noises and sudden movements. I am still quite uncertain of people walking around and towards me - I prefer when you are closer to my level and not moving around. I am very good at finding hiding spots you least expect me to be in. I have made great improvements in the past few years, and certainly still have ways to improve my interaction with humans. The humans suspect once I am in my forever home, I will continue to make improvements. I have slowly let my personality shine through, I am an extremely sweet girl! I love to be pet and receive head scratches - I have quite a strong headbutt! I also do this adorable head tilt flop over move when I want your attention. So far I seem pretty indifferent to toys and catnip, but I love my wet food and treats! Aside from having the majority of my teeth extracted, I am very healthy for my age! I get along great with other cats, and could benefit from having a confident cat be my mentor. I would also do great on my own in a home that is willing to be patient with me.Applications are reviewed in order received until an appropriate match is made. Story
DOB: October 2022Meet Leo: Leo has learned many life lessons from his feline friends! He remains calmly in the room with us and waits patiently while we approach him slowly and give him tasty treats. Then he’s off to frisk and frolic about and play with the catnip mice he especially enjoys. With much still to learn and much love to share, Leo may never be a lap cat, but he’ll be purr-fect for a patient home seeking a gentle companion. Story
DOB: October 2020 Meet Misty:   Former kitty mama Misty is moving paw step by paw step towards trusting people. Once a loner, she’s become besties with Ziggy, eating, playing and snuggling with him before perching atop the climber and watching the world outside. Now, to thrive, she’s best suited to a patient adult-only home, perhaps with another confident cat already there.   If this is your home, click on Adopt. Story
DOB: January 2022 Meet Ronaldo: Relishing his second chance at life, shy Ronaldo remains where he is when we approach him slowly. Then, before he lowers his regal head, he gladly accepts several of our gentle head scratches. Happier, for the moment, engaging with his fellow felines, he’s happiest resting on a window ledge with Raven and raptly watching “bird and squirrel” TV. Now all Ronaldo needs to “roar” in delight is the patience of a nurturing home either with Raven or with a confident kitty already there.    If this is your home, click on Adopt. DOB: September 2024Meet Mouse:  Rescued with siblings Binx, Poppy and Levi, Mouse makes up for her small size by having a huge heart that’s filled to the brim with sweetness and gentleness. Adorably affectionate, she loves being snuggled by everyone she meets, and having her belly rubbed while she purr, purr, purrs in absolute bliss. Now all merry Mouse wants is to find fur-ever love in a happy home with one of her three siblings.     If this is your home, click on Adopt.
