Story
“Woods is the friendliest cat you will meet. He is an excellent door greeter and will come say hello to any visitors to your home. He enjoys playing and likes to roll over onto his back for tummy belly rubs.Woods has had a previous urinary blockage so he does require a prescription urinary food to keep him healthy and prevent that from happening again. In his younger years, he cohabitated well with other kitties but has recently struggled in a multi-cat environment so would be best suited in a single-cat home.” Sex: MaleBreed: Domestic ShorthairColour/Pattern: BlackBirthday: December 2019Likes: Playing, belly rubsDislikes: Other cats, being aloneAn ideal home would have: People who could give him attentionGood with cats: NoGood with dogs: UnknownGood with children: YesWould this kitty enjoy a companion?: Not other cats, but perhaps a dog

Story
Fortune is a chatty tabby whose slightly downturned eyes make her look just a little bit concerned all the time. Her life was turned upside down when she came to SCAT with her much younger friend Fate and the two are still quite bonded with one another, so would need to be adopted together at this time. Fortune is first to greet the Centre feeders, and chats with you as you get her dinner ready. She has recently decided she wants to be up on the desk where the action is and loves belly rubs (though sometimes she wants to trap your hands for kicks and soft bites you can easily pull away). Fortune can be picked up for short periods of time while you are petting her and would make a lovely companion to someone who wanted a friendly/cuddly cat. Her estimated date of birth is Dec 22, 2010

She arrived in SCAT`s care with a significant eye injury/infection that developed into uveitis. She is currently being followed closely by her vet to try and avoid the removal of her eye. TikTok is a spicy girl with lots of attitude which helped her survive on the streets from a very young age. Her foster is working with her to be more accepting of human contact and affection. She is making good progress and allows a few pets but does not want to be picked up or cuddled yet. She does like to lay right beside you touching you and is often found curled up sleeping with the dogs in her foster home. She loves playing chase and hide and seek with the dogs. This is a high energy girl that likes to be busy and lots of toys are a must to prevent her from getting into trouble. She plays extremely well independently dragging wand toys around the house and chasing balls with bells inside them. She may benefit from a cat wheel to help her burn off all the energy she has.Any special needs or traits the adopter should know about? (we may add this to the bio):

The nice farm people contacted SCAT and SCAT saved our lives ( I guess that means we`ve each used up one of our nine lives).I`m the smallest of the bunch. I have 8 siblings ( some are half siblings).....I`m also the luckiest kittie in the world cause I have 2 mamas! Because I`m small for my age, I tend to be bullied a little bit by the bigger kitties. I try to hold my ground , but they play so hard. I`m not a rough and tumble kind of girl. My features and bone structure are very fine ( you can tell I`m a girl as soon as you see me). I`ll be an elegant svelte panther one day.Oh, how I love to play....and pounce....and jump....and climb! I`m such a playful little muffin. You`ll often find me catching a sunbeam. If there`s a ray of sunshine anywhere, you can be sure that I`ll find it.Auntie says that the pictures that she took of me don`t do me justice. Because I`m black, she says I don`t ` show up` very well. She placed me on a red pillow, a pink blanket and even a leopard throw....,,but I jumped off. She said that whoever looks at my pictures will have to take her word for it that I`m drop dead gorgeous and cute as a button.Dry food can be left out for me as I don`t eat it all at once. I am also very fond of pate wet food. I travel well in the cat carrier and my litter habits are impeccable. I`m also not much of a talker.I`m ready to go to my forever home. Im such a good girl ( albeit a tad shy)..... I`m hoping there`s someone out there who can appreciate what I have to give.Come meet me!Hugs & head bops,Dar

Prickly Pear came in at the same time, but was so shutdown and terrified that posting her just wasn`t appropriate. Well how things have changed since October and now it`s time to start searching for her forever family!Although she is still shy and reserved, each day is bringing surprises! Miss Pear now actively seeks pets from me, even before breakfast is served!! The resident cats do make her nervous, but then wouldn`t you get uncomfortable when someone stares at you until you finish eating??? I know that she would enjoy a friend or two, but it will take time for her to adjust to any home setting. Patience is going to be the way to this girl`s heart, could that be you?Miss Pear is nervous of men, but each day gets better. Trust is hard for this one, how we wish we could know her full story. Miss Pear is really so sweet and just needs the right family to find her. Time will be needed for her to become comfortable, and a quiet home would probably be the ideal place. If you`ve read this far, maybe this sweet girl is the one for you???Any special needs or traits the adopter should know about? (we may add this to the bio): Nervous/shy with men

When he arrived from living outside at Holiday Park, he was petrified. He would hide all day long. Eventually, he decided to trust us. Always over food - a meat tube, canned food. Incredible leaps and bounds later, Houdini will now sit on your lap to tell you it is dinner time and its late. He is a lovely buddy to have around the house. He enjoys watching birds outside and food puzzles.Any special needs or traits the adopter should know about? (we may add this to the bio): Very shy for new people and noise.
