Story
Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Date into Rescue:1/3/25 Reason for being in rescue: Owner turned to Union County Animal Shelter no reason given. Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Matilda is spayed and up to date on vaccines. Weight: 9 lbs Height: 12 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $99 F ence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me?  Matilda is a lovely domestic shorthair cat who was surrendered by her previous owner before arriving at CPR. She’s now on the lookout for a home where she can be herself. She is all things beautiful cat - friendly, affectionate, playful, great with other animals. Matilda would be happy in an apartment or a single-family home. She loves all people and will be happy with people of all ages. What is my personality like? Matilda is calm and independent, with a touch of sass. She’s in charge of her own life, but when she warms up to you, she’ll happily accept some affection. Don’t be surprised if she meows at you for attention—she knows how to get what she wants! Matilda also enjoys some playtime, and a scratching post or pad will help keep her active and prevent any unwanted furniture scratching. Matilda has a personality that many people would recognize as the classic "cat" personality – independent and confident. She loves food and treats, so if you want to win her over, that’s a great place to start! While she is affectionate, it’s on her terms, and she’ll happily seek out cuddles when she’s in the mood. One of Matilda’s favorite things is being up high – she loves having a perch where she can survey her kingdom. Whether it’s on top of the refrigerator or a cat tree, she enjoys looking down on her surroundings. She would do well in both houses and apartments, but she must be kept indoors. Matilda currently shares a home with two other cats and seems to enjoy their company. What she really loves is dogs. You'll frequently find her snuggled up with the dogs in resident at Dreamweaver Farms and offering to play.  Cat toys, and a scratching post or pad will help her  stay active and avoid damaging your furniture. We’d call them necessities for Matilda. How do I act when I first meet new people?  At first, Matilda may come across as a bit aloof or standoffish, but once she feels comfortable with you, she’ll show her true loving nature. She’s the type of cat that likes to take her time getting to know you—typical cat behavior! House trained? Matilda is litter box trained. Other tips and tidbits: We estimate Matilda was born on or around 1/5/2023. Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. January 17, 2025, 10:31 am

Story
Chief was born in the spring of 2019 and has grown into an 11 pound big boy. He is super affectionate and loves nothing better than snuggling. He gets along well with other confident cats, but can be a bit of a tease to shyer kitties. He does have a best buddy in foster care and they are all about the play. He also has an autoimmune disorder known as stomatitis. All of his teeth have been surgically removed to prevent the oral inflammation it causes and since that time, he has had no further issues with it. He enjoys both canned and dry foods, but does better with a food for sensitive tummies. He can seriously make a toy out of anything. He has been neutered, microchipped & is up to date on vaccinations.

Story
Obie is a bouncy precocious girl that is 9 weeks old (as of 11/2/24) and ready to find her forever family. From a perilous start to life found orphaned post Helene she has blossomed into a confident and sweet girl. Obie loves chasing toys, exploring new places, enticing other cats to play, and being part of the daily activities. She is a girl on the move but once she's tired, she is a bundle of purrs and loves being held. She would be a fantastic fit for a house with playful cats or someone who wants an interactive companion. She has exposure to a calm small dog and meeting new people. critterconnectionspartanburg@gmail.com
