Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Valerie is 2 - 3 years old; we are not sure. She was found outside in a cat colony where a rescue group was feeding. But Valerie was very tame and affectionate. Her foster family describes her as the sweetest, most loving cat. She loves to be picked up and rubs her head against your neck. She is living with other cats in her foster home and would probably prefer a more calm environment. She wants all of the attention from her humans. She did test positive for feline FIV but negative for leukemia. She can live as long as cats which do not have the disease (please check online), cannot spread to to other pets unless there is a deep bite (not spread through grooming, sharing food, water or litter boxes) and cannot spread to humans.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
King George was found as a hungry stray cat. His weight was about 8 lbs but now that he is being fed, he is likely to get to 10+. His estimated age is 7 years, middle age for a cat. He is super sweet and friendly, gentle and affectionate. Plus, he is a gorgeous hunk! Look at those golden eyes. He would make a wonderful pet for any family. He has tested positive for FIV, but that is not a deadly disease in cats. He cannot spread FIV to humans or other cats unless there was a deep bite, which is not in King George's nature. Please read about the condition online.Contact us for an application.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Peanut is about 6 years old and has to be rehomed since her owner moved to assisted living. Peanut is gentle and sedate. She has lived with other cats in the past. She is the type of cat who will not cause any trouble, but she does want affection on her own terms and lets you know nicely if she is being overstimulated. Peanut would do well in a quiet household, preferably with older owners.

Story
Sierra is a sweetheart! She is about 3 years old (estimated) and weighs about 7.5 lbs. She is very friendly and affectionate. When you visit her, she will be right with you to be petted and stroked. She has good manners and is gentle with her claws and paws. She recently weaned her kittens, which came with her to our facility and are now ready to be adopted as well. Sierra deserves a home of her own.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Lee is approximately 1 year old and weighs 7.5 lbs. He is very shy at first and if you approach his cage, he will likely be hiding under his blanket. Once you begin petting him and interacting with him, he will respond with affection (see video). He needs a calm home with patient owners. Once he is used to a new place without all the noise and confusion of a kennel, he will be a great pet. He has a brother named Obi Won who is also available. We think Lee would like another cat or kitten to help him feel secure. Lee is also posted on Petfinder, where you can see a short video: https://www.petfinder.com/cat/lee-tag-51859877-64810392/nc/gastonia/animal-league-of-gaston-county-dba-the-gaston-low-cost-spay-neuter-clinic-nc1133/
