Story
Approximately two years ago, two kittens wandered into our garage. We welcomed them into our home, had them neutered, and ensured they received their first series of vaccinations. Since then, they have lived as indoor cats. They are both affectionate and well-socialized. They get along with our small dog and two of our grandchildren. Unfortunately, my youngest grandchild and my mother-in-law are allergic to cats, which makes it necessary for us to find them a new home. • Cheeto: An orange cat who loves to give hugs. • Marshmallow: Also orange, very gentle, and a devoted lap kitty. We believe they are brothers, and they share a strong bond. For this reason, they must be adopted together. They are extremely loving and would thrive in a safe, caring environment. While I would gladly keep them, my priority must be the health of my family. If you can provide a good safe home please reach out.

Story
Meet Wink, our one eyed wonder. We found him in our driveway near death and took him in. He had a horrible upper respiratory infection that attacked his eyes hence the missing eye. He is about one year old! He is spunky, silly, loving, a hint of crazy, and a great snuggler on his terms like most cats. He would make a great first pet and great companion. Unfortunately, my son has developed bad allergies to him.

Story
Caine was adopted by my daughter at Petco. He is 2 years old. He had been surrendered by a previous owner. We do not know any other history on Caine. We do know he is a very sweet cat. He is very loving and will come and sleep with you. He would be a great lap kitty. He would do well in a home with no other cats unfortunately, otherwise we would be keeping him. We have other cats and dogs and Caine does not get along with the cats. He does ok with the small dogs which are chihuahua and yorkies. We tried for 3 months. It breaks our heart to rehome him because he has already been rehomed once but we were not aware he did not do well with other cats which really should have been posted to prevent this from happening to these beautiful animals. We just want to find the perfect home for Caine once and for all. He deserves the best!!!

Story
Hugo and Vera came to us back in mid-September from a family that found them in the crawl space of their home. The kittens were about three days old and needed care the family could not provide. Since both kittens are tuxedos, we named them after designers Hugo Boss and Vera Wang; hence, Hugo and Vera. We are calling their birthday September 10, 2025. [. Although orphan kittens miss the opportunity to bond with a mom cat, they completely imprint on humans, which makes them much easier to socialize. And because they were only a few days old when we got them, they associate humans with food, play, affection, and safety. Hugo and Vera were originally adopted in November and were supposed to leave with the adopter the first week of January. Because of an unforeseen change in living arrangements, the kittens are again available for adoption. The good news is they are now four months old, and we know exactly what their personalities are like! Both kittens are healthy, playful, have all their vaccines, and are spayed and neutered. They are completely litter trained and have the run of their foster house. Our strong preference is for bonded kittens to be adopted in pairs, the advantage being you are guaranteed to have a compatible match. Bonded kittens provide comfort, companionship, and a wrestling partner for each other. In their case, we will only consider adopting them as a pair. Our adoption fee is $150 and covers FIV/FeLV testing, deworming, vaccinations, and spay/neuter with a partner clinic. To set up a visit, drop me a note at cherylsferalsandfosters@gmail.com or PM me. If you are considering adopting, please fill out and submit the adoption contract found in The Adoption Process link on my website (cherylsferalsandfosters.com). In the meantime, you can follow their journey on Facebook: Cheryl’s Ferals and Fosters. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3).

Story
On occasion, inquiries are not forwarded automatically to our rescue by Adopt a Pet. If you would like to inquire about one of our kitties, please reach out directly to the rescue. Thank you! Did you know back in the day there was a nickname for Stewardesses (now flight attendants)? They were called Sky Angels. Well, this little lady was dumped out near the airport When she was discovered she had 4 kits in tow about 4-5 weeks old. She sought help from the nearest home who happened to be one of our volunteers. While she was as friendly as could be, her kittens were not used to humans. They've come a long way and Delta, Jet, Spirit and Pilot will be coming soon (they need a little more time and are awaiting their surgeries). But our sweet girl Sky Angel is so happy to have her child rearing days behind her. She's ready to find her forever family. This 1-year young beautiful little girl is very sweet and loving. She just wants to hang out with you all the time and she purrs and purrs. Her favorite thing is eating her good food and then chilling with you. Sky Angel has had age-appropriate vetting, is FeLV/FIV negative, microchipped and has been spayed. FREE wellness visit with adoption. Saving Southern Kitties has the most comprehensive vetting standards for adoption. Please visit our kitties at the Rivergate Petsmart in Charlotte and like and visit Saving Southern Kitties Facebook page for an up-to-date list of adoptable kitties. An application is required.

Story
Charlie came to me about 4 months ago. He had been hurt and his back was scrapped bare. The vet estimated he is around 4-5 years old. He loves drinking water and runs over when he hears running water. He wants to go outside but he’s afraid and wants the human to be near him. My cats are very unfriendly towards him and he is miserable. He needs a safe, quiet home without other cats. He loves male voices and becomes very interested when a technician or handyman comes over. He is a sweetheart and I want to make sure that he gets the right forever home.
