&#239&#187&#191Peaches is a beautiful 8 month old short hair dilute calico.  Her personality is sweet, loving, playful, every bit a lady.  She loves to sit on your lap to watch tv or read a good book.  I always sleep on my side and her favorite spot is on my hip.  She is always there to say good morning with a cheerful tiny mew.   Peaches gets along with other cats but hasn’t been around dogs or children.   Peaches was born with only one kidney.  It is larger than a normal kidney.  We have done lab work and ultrasound.  The tests showed a Polycystic kidney.  We did follow up lab work and it showed she is stable at this time.   There’s no way to tell if she will have a normal or shortened lifespan.  There isn’t any treatment for this.  Later in life she may require a special diet.   For more information, please contact foster mom Karen at karen.sorsdal@comcast.net or 360-333-7041. Lilly would be a fantastic indoor-outdoor cat. She loves to hunt and does not do well with other cats. She enjoys sitting on laps, but not being picked up or held in one's arms. She is a feisty kitty that enjoys killing squeaky toys. She should not be in a home with children, as she is more primal than not and does bite on occasion to get her point across. She enjoys cardboard scratchers and packing paper forts. She prefers to counter surf and will steal the tea bags out of your cup. She does need encouragement to drink more water to prevent UTI, so flavored water or moistened food would be great.

Byron is 12 weeks old.  He is a very sleek, handsome black kitten whose eyes seem to hold centuries of wisdom.   Byron is active, playful and curious, though very much more dignified than his siblings. Cleveland is a DSH black male. His estimated birth date is 5-21-23. Cleveland is sweet, playful and full of fun, often in search of a good ball to chase. This handsome boy was quick to show us his impressive climbing skills. Lacey (11 weeks) is a sweet serene girl who would wear daisies in her hair if she were human.  She seems to like everybody, especially her equally cute brother, Kipling.   Both she and Kipling have graduated from watching wide-eyed as their older siblings pounce and ping pong all over the place to now joining in the fun. They haven’t quite mastered all the gymnastics and still dash back to hide behind mama when chaos ensues.  Too cute.   Lacey and Kipling will need a warm, loving home with wide open arms to reassure them when they leave mama for the first time.  If they could be adopted together, that would be lovely, but not necessary.   They should both do fine with cat savvy kids and polite dogs after an initial adjustment period.   If you feel Lacey (and perhaps Kipling) would fit into your heart and home, contact Laura at 540-272-3506     Kitten has been in a loving and safe foster home partnered with Friends For Life Animal Rescue. They managed to get me inside and the next day I delivered four kittens!  My  rescuer couldn't afford to have more pets or get me fixed so I spent two years in her spare bedroom until she called Rocket for help. At last I was able to come to a Rocket foster home where there's more room and not much happening at all! No strange dogs, no emergencies. What a relief! Now I can lie on a big cat tree in the sun and look out the windows at flowers.  I lived with other cats and a dog in the past and I had no problem meeting my new roomies here. I'm seven years old and need to be on prescription food. Yeah, it's pricey, but I am worth it! I'm a big love bug!  I won't be eating that much either, now that my foster mom has me on a diet. She seems to have a problem with portly cats, and thinks it isn't healthy. I just hope she doesn't buy me an exercise wheel next, I'm not a hamster!
