WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Say hello to Tater — the cutest little spud you’ll ever meet! 🥔💙 Tater is a 2-month-old bundle of wiggly, squishy, tail-wagging puppy goodness (DOB 12-6-25). His mama was a Chihuahua and dad remains a mystery man, but we’re guessing there might be a sprinkle of dachshund or some other short-and-sturdy ingredient in the mix. Whatever his DNA says, one thing is clear: he’s 100% adorable. This little guy should grow to be around 20 lbs when fully baked — er, fully grown — making him the perfect size for car rides, couch cuddles, and tagging along on all of life’s adventures. Tater is your classic joyful, carefree puppy who thinks every day is the best day ever. He comes pre-loaded with all the standard puppy features: • Turbo-powered zoomies • Non-stop tail wiggles • Sloppy puppy kisses • Random bursts of silliness • Expert-level snuggle skills • A talent for turning ordinary socks into priceless treasures At his age, Tater should do great with other dogs, kids, and even cats if introduced properly. He’s friendly, social, and believes everyone he meets is his new best friend. Now, fair warning: like all puppies, he does come with those famous sharp little teeth and tiny needle nails — but don’t worry, those are temporary (your shoelaces will survive…probably). Tater’s favorite activities include: - Chasing toys he hasn’t quite figured out yet - Napping hard after playing harder - Crawling into laps like he owns the place - Making you laugh without even trying - Looking ridiculously cute 24/7 If you’re looking for a fun-loving, pint-sized best buddy who will fill your home with laughter, love, and just the right amount of puppy mischief, Tater is ready to be your main potato. Apply today at haydudeequine.org and give this tiny bundle of wiggles, giggles, and puppy mischief the forever home he’s been dreaming about 💛🐾

Story
WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet January – Tiny Package, Giant Heart ❄️🐾 2 years old • 8 lbs • Dachshund/Min Pin mix Don’t let her petite size fool you — January may weigh in at just 8 pounds, but she’s carrying around enough love to fill a whole house. This little black-and-tan sweetheart is gentle, soft-natured, and delightfully dainty. When she first meets new people, January can be a touch shy… but give her about 30 seconds and a kind word, and suddenly she’s your loyal best friend forever. Think of her as a slow-blooming flower with a very enthusiastic tail. Once she feels comfortable, January is all about quiet cuddles, cozy naps, and sticking close to her favorite humans like the world’s cutest little shadow. She’s not loud, she’s not demanding, and she definitely doesn’t need to be the center of attention — she’s just happy to be included. January’s Resume (and it’s impressive): • Great with other dogs • Friendly with cats • Wonderful with kids and adults • House trained and dog-door savvy • Up to date on vaccines • Professional couch companion Around the house, January is an easygoing, low-maintenance kind of gal. She’s got the whole “house manners” thing down and fits beautifully into a routine. Basically, she’s the roommate we all wish we had — tidy, polite, and never eats the last slice of pizza. Her idea of a perfect day? A little sunshine, a few gentle head scratches, maybe a short stroll, and a soft spot next to you on the couch. She’s not looking for wild adventures — she’s looking for a forever person to adore. If you’re hoping for a sweet, loving little companion who will quietly steal your heart (and maybe your favorite blanket), January just might be your perfect match. Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let this tiny treasure warm up your world! 💛🐾

Story
Elliana They gave me a fancy name at last! Can you believe it? I have been used as a breeder dog for years and years and then dumped at the local pound with a mammary gland tumor that you could play tennis with!! Who does that!!! At least that is what my foster mom thinks my life has been like. I sat there in a cage at animal control for 4 weeks before anyone would think about pulling me out of there but my foster mom said that she had to take me home so that I would have a chance to be a beloved pet before I die. Not that I am planning to do that anytime soon, but you never know. Anyhow, I went to the vet right away and had that big nasty thing taken off my stomach and the vets knew right away what it was and what it was from. They took out the baby making bits as well, so I won’t have to go through having my babies and then losing them right away to being just a baby and money making factory for somebody. Sheesh….get a job!! I have some issues, I won’t lie, but I am starting to kind of get used to being out of a cage, where I learned to circle around and around as there wasn’t a lot of space in those things. I can walk in a straight line and the more I get time outside, the more I am enjoying the fresh air and smells in the grass. I will revert to circles when I am nervous but Rome wasn’t built in a day and I have only had freedom for a couple of months now. I don’t have many teeth, as the ones I did have were rotted and broken from trying to eat the bars I suppose. I startle easily from the lack of being held and loved in my former life, and will try to “gum” you if I pick me up too quickly. But speaking to me and touching me before you pick me up will let me know you are there and going to be gentle with me. I am still getting used to the being held part, and sometimes can’t tolerate it very long, but I am learning and going slow is really helpful to me. I am learning what good food tastes like, and what a soft bed feels like, and while I have pretty limited vision to see things, I can follow my nose and it helps me to find everything I need to get around. Foster mom leaves me a puppy pad to potty on in the house if I have to go at night, and I am pretty good at using it. It took a while to figure out that is what it was for, but also, if I potty outside after meals, I am good if I keep to a schedule. So that is my story. If you are interested in giving a blind old lady a soft landing for the rest of my life, let me know. Local adoption in Texas only please.
