She thrives with activity and stimulation, so she would do best in a home that can give her regular opportunities to play, explore, and stay engaged. She’s fully potty trained and does her business outside like a pro. Pearla is also good with children under 12 and shows respectful behavior around cats. She enjoys the company of other dogs and will need to be placed in a home with a canine companion to help her feel secure and supported. Pearla can be a little overwhelmed by loud or chaotic environments and tends to bark at strangers outside the home, but she’s making great progress as she settles in. While she’s still a work in progress on the leash, she’s improving every day and enjoys her outdoor time, especially in a fenced yard where she can move freely. This charming little dog has a lot of love to give and will thrive in a home where she’s included in daily life and given the outlets she needs to stay active and happy. Welcome Mutz to CCPAL Rescue. Mutz is a 3-year-old Daug (Dachshund /Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He has an adorable underbit and has really blossomed at the Rescue. He is a quieter dog and has learned to like to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. This girl was brought in with babies when her owner couldn't take care of her. She was not socialized very well so will need some work. She will need a very patient person to get her to come out of her shell. She was kept outside so she has no house manners, nor has she been with cats. She does do well with dogs her size and seems to like to play with them. She deserves a new chance to be a loved dog and companion. She will take a lot of time and investment but deserves a chance!

Meet Rome! Rome is a 7-week-old Dachshund/Terrier mix weighing about 5 pounds, and he’s already mastered the art of being both cuddly and curious. His mom is a 20-pound Dachshund mix, and while dad is unknown, Rome’s sweet personality is undeniable.
