Welcome Mutz to CCPAL Rescue. Mutz is a 3-year-old Daug (Dachshund /Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He has an adorable underbit and has really blossomed at the Rescue. He is a quieter dog and has learned to like to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Greetings, Muggles! My name is Sphynxee, but around here they sometimes call me Dobby's long-lost cousin because of my adorable oversized ears. Seriously, if you've ever wanted your very own house elf, I might be the next best thing! My foster family believes I spent most of my life outdoors, so the magical world of living inside a house has been a brand-new adventure. At first, things like couches, crates, and all the strange human routines seemed as mysterious as the Room of Requirement. But I'm a clever witch-in-training and have been learning quickly! I've already mastered my crate, walk beautifully on a leash, and absolutely love exploring every corner of my kingdom. I'm still studying advanced spells like potty training and figuring out which treasures are acceptable chew toys and which ones belong to my humans. Progress, not perfection! One thing is certain: I've fully embraced my inner princess. These days you'll find me proudly strutting through the house, ears bouncing, following my favorite people from room to room to make sure no magical adventures happen without me. I get along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and am great with kids too. Whether it's joining the pack for playtime or soaking up attention from my humans, I'm happiest when surrounded by friends. When I first arrived, I had some hair loss that made me look a little less magical than I felt, but after treatment my beautiful coat is growing back nicely. Every day I become a little more fabulous—and trust me, I know it. Peanut has a big dog personality and if he sees other dogs, he gets super excited, and the yipping sounds scary, but he just wants to play!! He's a nipper and he likes to jump on you out of excitement and although he LOVES kids, he should be in.a home with older kids Peanut is still young, and has plenty of energy to play and run.He has been known to be a runner- He will take off and think, it's a GAME and it will be hard to catch him, so careful at the doors nd fences ;) But smart sweet pup loves kisses and lay on your lap . He walks good on a leash i put 2 one on harness and collar since I don't want him to get loose. (harnesses are too easy to get out of, so a martingale collar is his best collar) He can upset a bigger or smaller dog if they don't have a tolerance for nippiness.In the face kinda of thing he loved to play and he runs super fast lol 😆 they would have to be extra careful that he never gets out of front.Door or takes off he laughing fast 😅 Poor little guy almost got run over on these big streets all alone, and we NEVER want that to happen to him again. Jasper is a sweet, sweet boy who's looking for a patient family to help him settle into his forever home. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he feels safe and comfortable, his affectionate, social personality shows through. Jasper loves spending time outdoors, especially playing with other dogs. If you have a friendly resident dog, he'd likely be thrilled to have a playmate! He's adventurous, intelligent, and ready to explore, but he's just as happy curling up for some snuggles. He's already house-trained and crate-trained, rides well in the car, and has a great personality. Jasper would benefit from a few refreshers on leash walking and basic training, but he's eager to learn and will thrive with patience and positive reinforcement. Because he's a bit timid at first, a home with no children, or older children (or younger children who understand and respect his boundaries) would be the best fit. Give Jasper a little time to adjust, and Jasper will reward your patience with love and companionship. Jasper is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 8/7/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Visit our Foster to Adopt Program page to learn more. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.

I am a smart and moderate energy girl. I am easy to train. I like to go for my daily walks and am a decent leash walker, but I'll still need some continued training on that front. I love to play tug and chase with my toys. I can keep myself entertained and play by myself with my toys too! I love to chew. Bully sticks and other chews are so fun, but don’t leave any small things like the tv remote where I can reach it because I might mistake that for a toy. I enjoy sitting outside in the backyard, watching the squirrels and soaking in the sun. I am potty trained on a schedule and keep my crate clean. I am making great strides with crate training learning that it is positive and safe, but sometimes I may still whine a little. I do settle down and am crated while my foster mom is at work to keep me safe and comfortable. I also ride very well in the car. Maybe it’s because everytime I go in one I’m either going for an adventure or getting a pup cup! Please consider making me the next addition to your family. I am so sweet, cuddly, spunky, energetic and friendly. I would love it if you gave me a chance! Adoption fee: $595.00
