Hello! My ex-wife and I adopted Brisket from Front Street Animal Shelter in Sacramento when she was under a year old. She's 5 now and the shelter believes she's a Dutch Shepherd mix. She's fully house-trained, has never had an accident, and doesn’t destroy anything except her toys. Brisket is generally good with people but can get anxious in loud environments (parties, live music, construction) and has nipped at someone before. She barks at outside noises or deliveries with a deep bark, but stops after a few seconds. At home, she’s okay with other dogs as long as they don’t bother her; if they do, she’ll growl or slap them. She also has some leash aggression when approaching other dogs during walks. Brisket is very loving but has always been a bit fearful, though she’s improved over time. She’d likely do best in a calm home with someone who enjoys playing and cuddling.

The two photos show how her fur changes color in the Sun versus in the shade. Vivian is the biggest love bug you will ever meet, she adores affection and attention. She lived a very rough life on the streets and was written off by many other rescues as unfavorable because of her advanced abscesses and sexually transmitted cancer that she was facing. The recommendation was to euthanize her. Thankfully her advocate contacted us and with the help with our skilled veterinarian team we were able to save her! She is now ready to start the next chapter in her life cancer free!

I’ve been in my foster home for almost a week and have already shown what a great companion I am.Scooby has a great balance of energy, he enjoys walks and playtime, then settles into calm relaxation. He gets the occasional zoomies, loves chewing on his bone, and is an amazing cuddle bug. He is incredibly loyal and greets his people with pure joy every morning and when they come home, complete with kisses and cuddles.Scooby sleeps either in bed with his people or comfortably in his crate. He is fully potty trained and does well in his kennel, needing only a little encouragement to go in.He is learning leash manners, knows how to sit, and is very food motivated. He takes treats gently when told to “be gentle,” making training easy and enjoyable. Scooby also does great on car rides. His favorite things include bones, treats, and being with his people.Scooby has not yet been introduced to children or other animals. He would thrive in a home with a big yard, regular walks, and people who enjoy being active and present with him.Scooby is a sweet, loyal boy ready to bring love, joy, and cuddles to his forever home.
