This very nice boy is calm, gentle, and ready to spend his golden years surrounded by love and comfort. At this stage in life, Ringo isn’t looking for adventure — he’s looking for cozy naps, peaceful walks, and kind people to share his days with. Because he’s a senior, Ringo qualifies for our Silver Paws VIP Program, which helps make adopting older pets even easier. He’s the kind of dog who will be forever grateful for a soft bed, a caring hand, and a family who sees the treasure he truly is. URGENT – GERMAN SHEPHERD NEEDS RESCUE THIS WEEK Hit by a Car • 7 Years Old • 80 lbs • Scheduled for Euthanasia The Sarasota Shelter reached out for help for a very sweet, gentle German Shepherd who is out of time. He was originally purchased from Petland, and based on his temperament, he is likely very good with other dogs. This poor boy was hit by a car and needs medical care — but the shelter does not have the resources to treat him. His owner has abandoned him and is not responding, leaving him with no one to speak up for him. Because the shelter cannot provide the medical support he needs, he is scheduled to be euthanized this week unless a rescue or adopter steps forward. It is heartbreaking to see such a beautiful, loving dog face death simply because he needs help. He Deserves a Chance. He is approximately 7 years old and around 80 lbs, with a gentle, trusting demeanor despite everything he has been through.
